The hero branch is a hotly contested and extremely difficult one to graduate from. To become a hero, you must complete academic life at a hero academy, and guess how many there are? There are altogether 10 hero academies around the world.

Each of the academies is in a city that has a 'Wonder of the World'. The Battle Academy is the highest ranked and is located on an artificial island created by John Astrofiniz, the smartest man in the world. His special ability is 'Super Intelligence', In short, he is the most intelligent and creative man to ever live on earth.

His inventions have improved mankind centuries into the future. Without a doubt, he is one of the most important humans on planet Earth.

Each hero academy recruits 1000 students a year in a super test that ranks those with a promise to become heroes. The test looks at the strength, courage, compassion, and intelligence of the participant.

Every year, 30,000 teenagers, aged 16 and up, try to enter each of the academies, but of these 30,000, only 1,000 get in, turning the entrance test into one big battle for the spot.

The main characters of the story will be inside and my killer, the one who is going to kill me, will also be there.

Honestly, you must be confused, after all, why am I not running after some hidden power of the protagonist, that will make me overpower? The answer is simple, it doesn't!

The protagonist of the story is called Michael, an ordinary teenager with dreams just like us, but the difference between him and us is that he possesses the greatest hack of all the protagonists, the system.

The system is a living being that lives inside his brain or a parasite. Either way, this system is the same age as the universe, maybe even older, but its purpose in this world is to find a worthy host and strengthen it. Fortunately, he found Michael, a boy who lost his entire family in a bombing, and because of this event, Michael decided to become a hero to have the pleasure of killing as many villains as he wanted without being punished by justice.

A very simple and selfish dream, right? But silly things are what captivated me reading this story. Just as a retired assassin can go back to killing after someone has killed his precious dog.

Along with him, you also have other main characters, but that I'll leave for later...

Anyway, after I was beaten several times by Ava, it was time for me to take the entrance test for the battle academy.

Luckily, the Lothbrok building is on the same artificial island as the academy, so I drove there. The artificial intelligence inside the car guided me perfectly, and I managed to arrive safely.

While looking for a place to park, I noticed an endless crowd of people circling the academy. That sight brought back nostalgic memories of my past life.

Ignoring this, I pulled into the parking lot of the gym, which by the way was sparsely populated. After a few minutes of looking for a parking space, I finally managed to park the car.

Looking at the clock, I noticed that it was 10 minutes before the test started and quickly started to walk there.

In a huge space auditorium, it was possible to manipulate its size to allow for large events. Through this technology, the venue had incredible potential to hold even the largest number of people in one place.

People began to pour into the auditorium, and a man on the stage adjusted his microphone while thinking, "Another generation of talentless people... I've had enough of this. In the old days, prodigies were in abundance, but now..." The man finished his thought and sighed wearily.

He watched the rows being filled in front of him and noticed a boy with black hair and blue eyes looking at him. At first, he imagined that he was just someone ordinary, but noticing his sophisticated posture and luxurious clothing, he concluded that this young man was associated with one of the great families and asked, "You, what is your name?"

Those close to that boy thought the question had been asked of them, but to their disappointment, the boy casually replied, "My name is Edward Lothbrok."

After he said his name, the auditorium fell silent. Edward found that the action was exaggerated and was a little embarrassed.

"Oh? Edward Lothbrok?" The man who had asked the question asked again.

"Yes."

Suddenly, the man let out a slightly excited laugh, but regained his composure with a few coughs and said, "Good luck on the test, lothbrok."

The people around were stunned to learn that there was a lothbrok in the test. People who thought about sitting near Edward quickly gave up and started leaving empty chairs next to him.

Is it really serious? Why does this guy have to ask me my name? I was only looking at him because there was nowhere to look! Damn it! I should have said another name, otherwise, now I am the only person in this row and I will attract even more attention.

Suddenly, as I was cursing that guy mentally, a person sat next to me as he spoke, "Lothbrok, is it? My name is Michael Blad." He didn't extend his hand to me, he just said his name and stared straight ahead.

Wait, why is this guy here? Why is the protagonist of the story here?

Suddenly, to make me have a heart attack, another person sat next to me, but this time, it was a woman. "My name is Serena Astrofiniz." Again, she wasn't expecting me to answer her, She just wanted me to know her name.

What's going on? I planned to avoid staying away from them because THEY WILL CAUSE MY DEATH!

"My name is Andrew! Nice to meet you, Edward Lothbrok." Suddenly, I heard a charismatic voice behind me and thought, "Okay, it can't get any worse."

I thought it couldn't get any worse, until a girl of a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, walked in front of me and arrogantly said, "My name is Alice Hensley and You are going to be my target on the test, I think you better be prepared."

Okay, I conclude that I am screwed... The test will be a battle royale, where it's everyone against everyone. Normally I would do well to stay hidden and score, but now everything has changed!

They didn't introduce themselves to establish a connection or bonds of friendship, they identified themselves to make it obvious to me that I would be hunted during the evaluation.

Defeating a lothbrok, even a weak one, is a landmark achievement in anyone's career, so basically... My head is on the line, and the main characters, want it at all costs!
