Chapter 2: Journey To Epsilon (1)

Jeevan slowly opened his hazy eyes, and like most people, he woke up angry and full of malice. "Jeevan, your finally awake." William told him, eyes filled with glee.

Though William's politeness was met with slap to the face when Jeevan sat up. "Gyah!" William exclaimed as he caressed the red mark on his face. "What did you do that for?" William sniveled.

"You fucker just tried to put the blame on me!" Jeevan grabbed William by the collar before he shook him ferociously. "Not to mention, you also tried to rape me!"

"hey you did it first." William said in a daze, his nausea building up.

"Ay ay ay break it up." the gra'ark got in between them. "thank you Zarrix" William said in a daze, rubbing the side of head to help ease his dizziness.

Jeevan thrashed and hit Zarrix's arm in an attempt to grab William. Soon though, he took notice of Zarrix holding him back.

His face turned into horror as he frantically looked towards the others, noticing how calm they are despite being 6 feet away from a gra'ark.

He looked to and trough from his group and the gra'ark near him, His face displaying confusion, while his eyes fill up with fear at how close he is to the gra'ark.

"No need to panic elf." Jeevan looked towards Elidor. "He ain't gonna do anything." Elidor said calmly.

Hearing this Jeevan calmed a bit, just a bit. Slowly he scooted away from Zarrix, eyeing him all the while. His glare did not falter until he felt some kind of seat. His gaze then turned towards the others, until his gaze caught sight if a new addition. A very upset one.

"Zshucts ulp zwelf" The angel muttured in her mother tongue, Her shoes tapping the ground rhythmically. "Zhist zwous zhefult shoor shis zrelicfrent"

"Say Z one more time and I'm going put you to sleep permanently." Ambrosia threatened whilst rubbing her aching temple. Elidor nodded in agreement, merely because his demon heritage gave him the urge to antagonize the angel.

"Can you speak the common tongue?" William asked

"Yes, I can..." the angel replied. She gave ambrosia a quick glare, before asking. "How am I supposed to get to epsilon early now?"

"You can still get there..." William answered. "It's just that we won't be early, just on time." William shrugged.

"I had planned on unpacking my luggage and familiarize myself with the complex first." The Angel pinched the bridge on her nose. "I don't like to waste my time on unpacking when the course starts right after the entrance ceremony."

"entrance ceremony?" Jeevan questioned nervously. "Why does it sound like we're all going to college?"

Elidor looked at Jeevan as if he was the amazing arts and crafts project of his little brother. "We're going to a fucking war and help establish the main capital of epsilon." Elidor answered as if it was the most obvious thing.

Jeevan's mouth twitched slightly before Elidor continued. "I'm pretty sure they want competent soldiers not fucking cannon fodder."

Jeevan rubbed his head in frustration, silently cursing his grandfather while William giggled at his stupidity. Zarrix tinkered with a couple of his tools, the Angel silently watched Zarrix before turning to see Ambrosia's saber almost stab Elidor in the eye.

Sighing, she looked up towards the starry night, before reminiscing about the times she watched her older siblings make the lives of her family's people happier, all the while a large smile was Planted on her face.

She felt a hand caressed the top of her head. looking up, she saw the gentle bright smile of her father as he felt pride in his children's work. He nodded, before he bellowed his youngest child towards The balcony.

She nodded with a tinge of nervousness, before steeling herself towards the roaring crowd. As she took a step outside the cheers of the crowd grew louder.

When she had finally stepped out the door frame, her small petite figure was illuminated under the bask of the morning light. Her sky-blue eyes widening at the giant crowd that had gathered around the plaza.

Many praises could be heard directed at her, most of which were how adorable she was, and how lucky her future spouse would be. a slight blush graced her cheeks, before she waved, timidly, at the crowd.

"Azreal" she heard her name being called. She looked towards the person who had called her and saw her brother, Lucifer. "Looks like the crowd loves you."

Lucifer was a tall man. His lean and well-built. His chiseled features, along with his silky brown bedhead hairstyle had attracted the eyes of many. His gentle brown eyes carried happiness for what he has, along with a tinge of pride behind them.

"Then again who wouldn't love my cute sister?" He complimented. He ruffling her hair slightly, before someone slapped his wrist. "Gyah! What was that for Michael?" Lucifer exclaimed, gently rubbing his aching wrist.

"don't ruffle Raphael's hair." the one named Michael answered. "The maid put in a lot of effort in making Raphael look presentable in her first ascending ceremony." Michael said, taking out a hair brush from one of the pockets of his snow-white uniform, before tidying the hair of the still nervous azreal.

"We don't want a repeat of what happened during your first ascending ceremony." Michael teased lucifer as he was halfway done with combing Raphael's hair.

"... Fine. Heh, be careful though, the floor was just mopped." Michael froze when he heard this. "Don't want want a repeat of what happened during YOUR first ascending ceremony."

"pfft" Michael looked towards the source of the voice, and saw it was from Raguel who was barely holding back his laughter. "Good thing there aren't any stairs."

Then a chill ran down Raguel's spine, causing him to sneeze. He groaned slightly before he rubbed his nose with the sleeve of his sweater.

"You guys should really stop ganging up on Michael like that." a voice scolded. "You know Michael doesn't want to remember what happened that day."

All 4 of them looked towards the opposite end of the balcony, and saw their sister, Gabriel, flaunting a gentle smile as the tips of her blonde hair lay rest on her shoulders.

"Azreal come, sit beside your big sisters. I'm pretty sure their about to fight." Gabriel said, patting the empty chair beside her.

Azrael nodded and hurriedly ran towards her, arms wide for a hug. Gabriel extended dher arms outward, believing the hug was for her.

Only for Azreal to run past her and hug another woman. Gabriel reacted quickly, after a brief moment of confusion. She pretended as if she was just stretching. Though the chuckling from her siblings said otherwise.

"Raphael." Azreal timidly said, hugging Raphael tightly as she burried her face into her sides. Raphael tilted her head to side, finding her younger sibling's antics cute.

As her long white hair veiled the head of azreal, they glistened under the sunlight. She stroked Azreal gently before lifting her up and sitting her down beside her.

Once the action was done, Azreal moved her chair closer towards Raphael, and once more hugged her tightly. their father stepped out of the door frame and was now in full-view to the crowd, they cheers reach an epitome.

Hearing this, Azreal shook slightly. Raphael took notice of this along with the others. "It's OK we're here." Raphael said as she gently pat Azreal on the head.

"As long we're here, there is nothing to be afraid of." The other siblings nodded in agreement.

Azreal looked up to look at Ralphael in the face. Brushing aside Raphael's white hair to unveil her face. And there she saw it, the most beautiful smile she had ever seen, Raphael's cherry red lips in the form of a gentle smile.

The light shone brighter than ever, as the birds flew into the endless sky, and the petals of the flower garlands flutter down. Azreal found the perfect symbol for peace, and the courage to face anything.

Azreal's thoughts snap back into her current situation, no thanks to dirt entering her eyes. "Gyah!" she yelled, rubbing her eyes of the dirt before blinking to remove the the ones that remained.

"here." William said, offering his water canister to Azreal. "thank you." Azreal gladly accepted the offer.

Glancing around, she saw where the dirt where the dirt had most likely came from. The scene in front of her was, confusing, at best.

Ambrosia had pinned down Elidor, while Elidor struggled to keep her saber from piercing his eye. "Fucking bitch!" He yelled before kicking her in the crotch, this made her slightly uncomfortable, but nevertheless, more angry.

"Fuck I forgot!" Elidor screamed as the tip of the blade came dangerously close.

"Stop struggling...." ambrosia said calmly, as if this was second to her.

"Never!" Elidor rebuked, before he spat into her eye. "disgusting! You really are swine!" Ambrosia yelled in disgust whilst her sleeve rubbed her eyes.

Elidor took this momentary lapse of focus, and swept her off balance from under her. Ambrosia crashed into the log they had used as a seat while Elidor got up.

Ambrosia was furious, and in rage, lunged her saber at Elidor, hoping to kill him in the process. Though the blade missed him entirely.

Elidor raised a leg planning on kicking her in the face. Although this never happened as Jeevan grabbed hold of him from behind and pulled him back.

Zarrix frantically looked around trying to find a way to help. Though he found none. So as a compromise, he did the most awful thing to do in this kind of situation. Trying to calm down the angry woman while not having some sort of familiarity with her whatsoever.

"Hey hey, let's calm down now..." Zarrix said to ambrosia. Getting a bit to close to her despite being one of the most racially discriminated species on the planet.

Ambrosia flinched on contact, instantly swatting Zarrix's hand away and pointed her saber towards his neck in one swift motion.

"Oh shit!" Zarrix jumped away the moment the tip of the blade came close. He quickly checked his neck for any injuries, and when he found none, he sighed in relief.

"zyawey zfelp ze" Azreal muttured under her breathe. "OK that's it." she called the attention of the group. All commotion stops instantly, though alidor still sent a kick that did not connect to ambrosia's face, he clicked dhis tongue in annoyance.

"We need to...." Azreal sighed. "work together if we want to reach ceremony on time. That means all of our past grudges would have to be put aside."

"No." Ambrosia and Elidor said in sync.

"Look! We don't even have to interact with each other. We just have to ignore each other as to NOT waste time." Azreal exclaimed to the both of them. "We ALL have to use the same road. I just want all of us not to kill each other on the way."

Azreal heaved harder than usual, after her quick outburst. The others looked at each other before pondering, well Ambrosia and Elidor pondered, the rest already agreed with each other, and reached a concensus.

Silence permeated the air, as the 2 particular members of this group thought about whether they should bury their animosity for the time being, or kill the other person as to guarantee peace within the journey. They both reached the latter.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH!" Zarrix exclaimed as he held back ambrosia by her arms. Ambrosia struggled to break Zarrix's hold as her Saber wailed in the direction of Elidor, who in question kept kicking despite having a sword swung at him.

"That's it!" Azreal yelled as she approached ambrosia with a ferocity of a storm.

"eh?" Ambrosia wondered, her actions stopping completely. "what are you-" Ambrosia was then knocked out cold a roundhouse kick to the skull. She didn't die, but she did foam at the mouth.

"yeah! Finish her off!" Elidor celebrated. Though he stopped as he saw the glare Azreal. "Peace?"

Peace was no longer an option.

"Ooooof" The rest of the men Flinched as the subconsciously tighten the area around the crotch. Elidor fell into his knees as Jeevan took several steps back.

Elidor grit his teeth in pain as his family jewels throbbed in pain. He looked up, and time seemed to slow. His eyes widen as his back pupils reflect something white with frills along it's edges.

Azrael face slowly scrunted as her axe kick slowly reached the scalp of Elidor. Though Elidor did not care, hell, he would gladly die right now.

Right before the axe kick connected, Elidor muttured something as his pants seemed to have pitch a tent. "nice." Elidor was then knocked out cold.

With a resounding thud, Elidor's body fell face first into the dirt. Azreal looked towards Jeevan who slowly sat down on the log trying to avoid eye contact.

She then looked towards William, and saw that he has hid behind the log he had sat on. Then finally to Zarrix, who had layed Ambrosia's body on the log while using a neck pillow from his bag.

Azreal raised a brow at Zarrix, who in question shrugged in response. "I take it we won't have anymore problems?" Azreal said as her imposing figure overshadowed the rest of the group.

They all nodded in unison. Azreal liked their compliancy before saying. "All right we'll take shifts in keeping guard. We don't want any beast suddenly attacking us in our sleep."

"Yes ma'am." they all replied, while William said his in a soldier fashion, he even added a slight salute, before retreating back behind the log after realizing how embarrassing it was.

"I'll take the first shift." Zarrix said, taking out a metal flask from his bag. He then grabbed metal mug from one of the multiple side pockets in his bag.

The others nodded before finding a comfortable position to rest in. "I'll take the next shift" Azreal yawned, while he move Elidor's head to the side to let him breathe. She then left Elidor on the ground towards a unoocupied log.

Zarrix nodded as he poured steaming brown liquid into his mug. He smelled the gentle aroma of the chocolate, before enjoying the sweet liquid.

As he pulled the mug away from his lips, his eyes scanned the area vigilantly, looking for anything that catches his eye.

Rattle

His drowsy eyes perked up after hearing the noise. He rubbed his eyes with his fist while carefully avoiding the bow empty flask.

He looked towards the rest of group, and finding that their still fast asleep. His shift ended hours ago the moon had now past its peak, and has begun to set.

He put his hands inside his pockets whilst his eyes scanned the area vigorously. He took a brass knuckle from his pocket and quickly equipped it. He then stood up to his full height and quietly waited for the thing to come out.

Rattle

His head shot to the side and saw the bushes move erratically, as if a child was looking for his lost toy inside of it.

Then a undead skeleton came out carrying with it a long sword and a shield, both of which seemed to be in pristine condition.

The sword in the skeleton's hand reflected the moonlight, before a gleam of light changed the reflection of the moon to the reflection of a imposing Zarrix.

Zarrix took a step forward, before a hand stopped him. "stop it's just my butler." Zarrix looked towards the now awake Ambrosia, who was carrying a knife in one hand.

Zarrix felt cold sweat drip down from his forehead, as he felt something itchy in the other hand of ambrosia. Zarrix slowly turned his head towards the hand and saw that it was a piece of silky black hair.

He attempted to look back, fearing that it might from who he thinks it's from, but Ambrosia stopped him from doing so.

"She's a strong girl. She won't be that upset." Ambrosia told Zarrix, her deep crimson eyes staring into his own blood red eyes. The skeleton saw this and covered its eyes with its hands as it shook its head from side to side....
