Axiom (part 1)

Inspecting all the equipment, I saw they did good once again in getting me the best of what I asked for. A big government body working as fast as it can in hopes of getting even a morsel of my advanced technology can sure do wonders.

Looking around I saw a tractor with a number of different attachments, a lawn tractor, a post hole digger, five dump carts, 10 tow chains, a plow, an excavator, a combine harvester, a seed drill. a front end loader, a bailer, and a number of other things including but not limited to simple hand held farm tools, and thousands of heirloom seeds.

Wanting to do this the quickest way I knew how I used my timer and moved all of the equipment to the wall-e earth and scanned for eve while I was there. She was on the planet this time around surprisingly. Seeing this, I had already started forming plans around her.

As all of the other Japanese on the base who hadn't seen me use my timer stood shocked as everything had been moved in less than a couple minutes, Yōji and a couple of others who had seen this before said their goodbyes to me as I headed back to Tuka and the Puddle Cycle.

"You are a Japanese?" asked Tuka

I shook my head. "Do I look Japanese? I just trade with them. Our relationship is one of business. I'm not from this world or even this universe. By the way, I told the Japanese of your sister that is missing. They will be on the lookout for her and I will check back with them on it from time to time. Knowing that, do you want to work for me for a while?".

Tuka nodded her head. "I need a place to stay and I'm willing to work for it, just as long as I am treated well".

I patted her head. "I haven't had any complaints yet, don't worry". I was curious to why she hadn't asked how I knew about her missing sister, but maybe because of her fathers death, she wasn't thinking as clearly?

Before leaving I dug up a small plant and pocketed it. An old worn-out and barely readable hover chair advertisement in the wall-e universe had caught my eye when I was transferring things back and forth, it reminded me that Earth's humans in that universe were fairly advanced to the point of interstellar travel.

Scanning for eve again, I located her and then flew my puddle cycle towards her direction. I landed a good 30 feet from her and then approached her with the plant held forward. She had some pretty impressive firepower and although I could heal decently, I would prefer not to have chunks of my flesh blown off my body.

Eve initially targeted me once she saw me, but as soon as she saw the plant I was holding, her programming took over and she rushed over to grab it. Once the plant was secured inside her, a green leaf started to glow on her chest and was clearly sending a signal to some far away receiver.

Not wanting to wait on the planet for them to send a ship to pick us up and bring us to the big ship, I pulled out my tricorder and scanned Eve. With the tricorder I could follow the radio waves till I reached where the signal was sent.

Leaving Tuka on the empty planet after explaining I won't be gone long, I then flew up into space on my puddle cycle and went into transwarp in the direction of the receiver. The milky way galaxy in this universe used hyperdrive if they wanted to get somewhere fast. Not only was transwarp many times faster than hyperdrive, but the ship I was heading towards was slowly cruising through space and not currently using it's hyperdrive. Still, even if they were using hyperdrive, I would have been able to catch up quickly with transwarp. The gap between the two was wide.

They were still inside the milky way galaxy so it did not take long for me to reach them. Their ship had gone over 700 years without ever being attacked as it drifted around the milky way galaxy without a destination. I was sure they thought they were alone in all the vastness of space. They had no shields up and robots were coming and going from the ship, making it easy for me.

After observing while cloaked for a while, I found a place where small ships were coming and going from the giant spaceship and flew inside, landing my cloaked puddle cycle in a hangar of sorts. After turning on my personal cloaking device, I figured I should head straight for the Captains quarters. The people on this ship were obese to the extent that they couldn't even walk and therefore not a threat. What I had to worry about was the robot that controlled the ship.

Auto was the robot that assisted the Captain of this ship and made sure everything was running properly. Auto was also the only thing on this ship aside from the Captain that could command the other robots to attack me if need be. If I got rid of Auto and then subdued the Captain, this whole ship and all the technology on board was as good as mine.

Scanning the ship, I found only one place on the top floor that had only one human life sign in it and so I started making my way to it as quickly as possible due to my cloaking not being able to last much longer. On my way to the Captains quarters, I stumbled upon a room I wish I hadn't seen. Many fat dead human bodies were being put through chemical processes and then turned into liquids of different colors. Watching the process, it didn't take long to figure out that this was how their liquid food was made.

After 700 years of flying around in space they had long ago ran out of food and Auto had apparently made the choice to recycle the humans on board while marketing them as a 'cool and tasty' new liquid food. It was probably the only way to keep the humans on board alive, but Auto was a robot and didn't realize most humans would probably not prefer to live at all if they knew they would have to consume their dead.

I wish I could say this was the only room that was disturbing, but it wasn't. The people on this ship were not only unaware, but didn't care to know or explore. They sat in their hover chairs and watched a hologram screen all day.

Should I just kill them all and put them out of their misery? Even if they go back to earth that had a very small amount of plant life, I doubt they could survive. Their bones couldn't support their weight, the earth couldn't sustain them with the little vegetation it has, and it's still filled to the brim with trash.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized the humans on this ship surviving on earth or any planet was an idealistic fantasy. If anything, they would just ruin whatever progress the earth had made in their absence.
