Sereno finished his drink but didn't leave; instead, he sat down and started chatting with Lin Ge.

"How much longer until you close up?"

"We just opened the doors when the customer arrived," Lin Ge looked at the wall clock, "We still have 5 hours to go until closing."

Sereno felt slightly relieved, as he wanted to wait until the place closed, hoping that by that time the crazed Knights would have left the cave.

Before long, Karina came into the tavern.

"Hey, greenskin, you're in my spot," she said as she patted Sereno's shoulder.

Sereno was sitting right in front of Lin Ge, a spot usually dominated by Karina.

"Uh, sorry." As the newcomer and completely unfamiliar with the tavern, Sereno chose to keep a low profile and moved to another seat.

Lin Ge had been enjoying some rare peace since Karina hadn't come in for a few days. But as soon as she appeared, she began bullying the new patron.
