"Sela," the white-haired girl whispered her own name, using the faint light of her gentle gaze to steal glances at Lin Ge.
Lin Ge nodded.
"Let's go see your true form."
He followed the vine tendrils trailing behind the girl to the thicket by the pool.
The dense branches and slender leaves parted on their own, revealing the scene within.
The ground was a network of intertwining roots, thick vine tendrils coiled like pythons, mixed with Baigu and some familiar carapaces.
Lin Ge glanced at the carapaces and remembered the Insect Warriors outside the valley.
"How many others like you are there in this place?" he asked, turning his head to Sela who had followed him cautiously.
"Quite a few," Sela's delicate fingers rested on her chin as she tilted her head slightly, "but exactly how many, I do not know."
She pointed to the vine connected to her body behind her.
