Lin Ge turned around and saw an elderly man in a white robe, holding a thick tome, his wrinkled face resembling a map. Lin Ge stared at his face for a while and started to feel somewhat dizzy.
Granphiddy walked past him to the old man, extending a hand.
The elderly man in the robe took out a thin booklet from his sleeve and handed it to the manager.
"I'll leave the rest to you," the elderly man said and then walked into the outer shelves, paying no further attention to the two.
Granphiddy returned to Lin Ge's side, and Lin Ge looked at the thin booklet in her hand. It was light yellow, about an inch thick, and seemed unremarkable.
Before he could ask, Granphiddy gently patted his shoulder, and the two disappeared from the book archive.
When Lin Ge's vision cleared once again, he found himself in the wilderness, facing several gray-white tombstones engraved with unfamiliar names.
"Still want the benefits?" the manager turned around and asked with a grin.
