Lin Ge turned his head and saw that Baigu had grown an extra layer of skin, a shriveled skin that hung on his skeleton, making him look like a hopeless addict.
Although it would still scare pedestrians, it was much better than the pure skeletal form.
Upon discovering the changes to his body, Baigu exclaimed with joy, "Ah, I've regained the feeling of being human again, what's going on?"
Lin Ge provided an explanation.
After listening, Baigu lifted his face, the bright light from the street lamp unable to dispel the pitch darkness in his deep-set eye sockets. A look of enjoyment appeared on his dry and barren face.
"To think such a thing could happen, it's fantastic. I can feel my flesh continuing to grow, what a marvelous feeling. Is this what it's like to be resurrected from the dead?"
A shriveled mouse wriggled out from the purple cloth wrapped around his body and looked around in confusion, squeaking softly.
Baigu gently stroked the mouse's head.
