Now should I get some people to experiment on? I think that would work very well! If someone in the manor tries to kill me or Eve, I will capture them instead! I knew in my head there were good ideas but d*mn, I am a genius. I should carry rope with me so I can tie them up, I probably should also learn how to tie a better knot, I don't think the bunny ears knots gonna fly. But! I'll cross that road when I come to it!

"To the study!"

"Close enough, let's roll."

"Roll?"

And I start walking toward the study without bothering to answer Eve's question.

Eve's POV (Before meeting MC 1/2)

After arriving in the garden with Miquel, I run straight to the orchids! And the word "exquisite" which I learned yesterday from Miquel fits them perfectly, the most beautiful flower. Father my like to paint roses but I love orchids and lilies the most! When I get a painting teacher, I'll become a better artist than father! Then when father finally allows Miquel to teach me fighting, I will run straight to the palace and force the king to give me all of the flowers in the empire!

Then just like the stories Miquel tells me I'll be a hero! Why will I be a hero? Because that's what Heroes does! Run into castles and take things! Should I steal a princess? That's it! I'll steal the flowers and gift them to the most pretty princess! Then I'll be even more like a hero!

As I'm thinking about my future heroics I see a man in chains, with his hands restrained. That's a good use of that word! Restrained, yes he's restrained! I'll tell Miquel later he will be so proud! Why is he walking closer? Is he stupid? Miquel's going to cut him. Miquel' drawing his sword, this is gonna be so cool! Maybe father will allow me to take sword lessons after this. His only daughter almost got attacked and was barely saved! He will definitely let me take sword lessons so I can protect myself.

"So how are we all today?"

He just talked to us without being allowed. Is he a noble? He doesn't like look it, he looks kind of scary, like a villain that the hero kills. He's covered in blood and his clothes are barely on his body, does he have no de- what's the word? Miquel said it a while ago. Ugh! It doesn't matter, he looks evil. And he's carrying a sword! A curved sword, don't only pirates carry curved swords? Miquel can protect me right? Of course he will protect me. I'm my fathers daughter. There is no way someone that looks like a villain could beat Miquel; he's the best guard ever! I step back slightly to give Miquel room.

"Nothing? Are you the girl I'm supposed to protect?"

Protect? No way someone like that is going to protect me! I only need Miquel to protect me, he said it himself he's the strongest! Wait! Is this the person who's supposed to guard me in case Miquel goes to war? In case he is, I nod slowly back at him, still wondering if I'm right. Does that mean Miquel is going to war soon? Why don't they just send him instead, shouldn't I get protected over some stupid war? The man walks forward and breaks his chains by pulling his hands apart. How did he do that!? Can Miquel beat him? Then he just sits on the floor. Why did he start sitting?

"Now can we sit and talk?"

Sit and talk? With someone covered in blood!? Not a chance Miquel will protect me right? Miquel starts to talk with the man and fully draws his sword. I don't quite catch fully what they fully say as I'm too busy imagining the fight! How quick will Miquel strike him down? The man walks over and Miquel swings his sword expertly. I may not have had lessons but I'm sure that's how he swung his sword. Anything less and he couldn't be the best guard ever! The man just stands there; he obviously was not ready to fight Miquel! The man even stumbles backwards and barely dodges Miquel's sword! He then reaches out to grab something and accidentally grabs Miquel's hand!

But why does Miquel let go of his sword? The man obviously can't fight. The man stabs Miquel's sword into the ground and waits. He's super stunned, I bet he doesn't even know what just happened.

"How dare type gra-"

Oh Miquel doesn't want to be touched by someone first like him! That makes sense, otherwise he would have never gotten his swo- did Miquel let the man punch him? Why would Miquel let him punch him?

"Shut up! I am not here to guard you but a little kid! So shut up and let me do my job!"

Did he just tell Miquel to shut up? Wait how did Miquel get punched there is no way he couldn't have moved out of the way of that punch. Right? Miquel takes a step back. Why did Miquel step back? Can Miquel not beat him? Is he going to hurt me? He's walking closer to me! Is he going to kill me?

"Nice to meet you, I'm your guard if you need anything just say it!"

Nice to meet you? You're going to kill me. How is that nice? Wait! Was that the way that guards trade off protection duty's? No, that doesn't make sense. Did Miquel admit defeat? Even though he knows this man is going to kill me? He wouldn't, right? how someone like this beat Miquel. He didn't even draw his sword, that's impossible! I keep thinking but no matter how I put it together it makes no sense! Miquel wouldn't betray me! I look up to see that man looking at me waiting for an answer so I do as confidently as I can! I will show him that as a noble I know no fear!
