Chapter 1. A Mysterious Being.

"Ha—

Ha—"

Her breath was slow but heavy, as she held onto the rough wall for support, dragging her noddle legs and pushing forward without time to rest.

A walkable distance appeared like a centurion battle.

Her grape-like lips were dried, and cracked, her eyes, like an endless void, had no future in them.

The smallest gush of the wind was enough to make her shoulders tremble.

On her head was a skull cap, and on her neck was a half-dead peach shawl that looked like it was either gotten from the fifty cents store or stolen from a beggar.

She was not in a good shape.

Under the shawl, hid hospital wear, however it was poorly hidden under a white blouse and green striped skirt, the definition of a horrible taste in fashion.

Anyone could tell at a single glance that she had escaped from a hospital, but still, no one dared to question her.

And as if she had found redemption, she pushed her back forward, sprinting towards the door just a few feet away from her.

The luxurious apartment meant only for the wealthy was where this woman resided, and as she drew near, words could not describe the feeling she had, but if anything, it was 'happiness'.

At long last, Raquel had arrived at her home, and as always, she typed in the house password on the door and made her way in.

"Harry!"

She called out, shutting the door behind her.

Her home was elegant.

The wall was painted in black and white styling, the couches were white and without a stain, and the house was allured with the sweet scent of rosemary.

The bookshelf in the middle of the passage was arranged, and everything in the building reeked of money, especially the enormous picture of a much alive version of herself in a wedding dress, in the arms of a young man about her age, the one she was searching for…

Her husband.

Other pictures were present, including a family picture of her, her husband and a son, but she especially adored her wedding picture, because it was perfect.

She had fled the hospital to see her husband because she became sick of that place, she wanted to be with her family during her last moments.

"Oh~

Ha! Ha!! Ha!!!"

Raquel froze.

She could hear her heart beat faster with each second, it was squeezing each second it beat and breathing became troublesome still, she said to herself.

"I must be hearing things."

But she knew too well what that sound was, however lying was the only way to reduce the agony and pains she was feeling.

"Don't stop Harry. Faster.

I'm cumming~"

"Me too."

The excitement in the woman's voice, the sigh of relief they were letting out, and the horrified look on Raquel's face.

At once, transparent beautiful tears that glittered in the light began to overflow from her eyes.

Her legs lost their strength, yet she fought to stand strong, slowly approaching the door with a profoundly drooling nose until she heard.

"How long do we have to keep this up?"

Caught by the sudden question, her entire body froze, her head filling with white noise.

That voice, she knew that voice, but couldn't recall its owner no matter how hard she tried.

She stood behind the door, traumatized by the picture she programmed in her head that her hand froze just inches away from the handle.

With a shaking heart, Raquel carefully listened.

"Just until she dies, she's at her final stage, after all, it's only a matter of time now."

There it was again.

Like a perfectly shaped pencil mouth stake, his word landed a fatal blow to her thin iced heart, her eyes began to feel hot and blur as the tears which had slowly begun to dry started to overflow anew.

"But don't you think it's too much, and you know, you two have a son together."

Yes, for a minute she had forgotten she had a child.

Although her husband had told her the last time he dropped by the hospital that their son was going to stay with his grandparents, she could now see the reason behind it.

"That bastard isn't mine."

Raquel choked on her spit.

"I don't even know how she became pregnant.

The only reason I put up with her story is because of our mission."

'Our?

Mission?'

She asked herself. 'Was everything planned?'

The lady giggles and the creaking sound of the bed follows, meanwhile Raquel did her best to hold her sanity together.

Her teeth pressed hard onto one another as she grinds with her anger and her convulsing eyes twitched hard.

"Oh honey, you've held on too much, don't worry I'm here."

Raquel could picture it, the mistress sweetly rubbing her husband's chest, massaging him like a king to make him feel good about himself, feeding him cunning words that tasted like sugar to satisfy his greedy appetite.

And yet again, the same question sprung forth. 'For how long have I been deceived?' and as if to mock her horrible fate, her husband said.

"Haiz!

It's a good thing we stopped her from getting the results when she was at her earliest stage, she'd be cured if she found out on time."

At once she stepped back, unwilling to hear the harsh words of the heartless scheming bastard and his bitch.

"You've worked hard, let's take the money and leave from here once she dies.

Since she trusts you, the entire property will be yours soon, and then it'll be just you, and me."

The poisonous viper said.

"What's wrong?" She heard her husband ask in a delicate, caring voice.

The same voice he had used on her on several occasions to tell her he was there for her, the only difference is that this time it sounded gentle and heartwarming.

At the peak of her curiosity, she rushed forward to hear what it was that troubled the scum of a husband.

"I still can't help wondering about that child, what's going to happen to your son, he's only four years old."

She said,

"I'll call child support and send that bastard to an orphanage after this."

Once again a fountain of crystal-like tears overflowed from her eyes.

'how could he be so cruel?'

She thought.

"No honey, we can keep him with us, he can be our little worker, especially when we have our own family, he can handle everything." The woman begged and like a fool, her husband answered with delight.

"Alright."

The line holding her crumbling sanity snapped, breaking from being unable to hold her back any longer.

Her eyes shook violently with fury and rage as she barged in, unable to take it anymore.

"You…" She said the moment she walked in.

Suddenly her eyes met with the owner of the voice she had been unable to decode.

It was her neighbour, Miss Percy.

"You cheating bastard, you traitor."

The cheating husband of hers did not spare her a bit of sympathy to even try to explain himself and apologise, and rather greeted her with an unwelcome voice.

"Shit.

When did you come back?" Harry asked with shock.

"Is that even important?

How could you do this to me? Behind my back? You tramp." She yelled.

In the blink of an eye, she dived at the woman, and like a horse she pulled her by the hair, controlling her head movement and the woman underneath could not bear to resist due to the pain from her hair.

Meanwhile, her husband's eyes began to move around, desperately searching for something to use to rescue his mistress, whose hair was coming off like a hen's feather.

Finally, his eyes met it, the perfect weapon.

The lamplight beside the bed.

It took just one quick swing of the lamp 'whack!' for Raquel to come rolling from the bed.

"Don't talk bad about her.

She's much better than you'd ever be, it'll be better if you just hurry up and die."

Like the waters, Raquel could see it in his eyes, the devious look of her husband, the one she was too blind to notice because she had a veil called love over her face.

Harry sprung forth as he sat upon her, his two hands together forming a 'C' as he got ready to choke her.

"What!

Harry, heuk!!!" She could hardly breathe, talk or fight back, cancer had made her helpless and now the blow to her head was also adding to her suffering.

Her legs wobbled up and down, beating the ground as she struggled.

Miss Percy summoned courage and rushed forward, holding down her legs to stop her resistance. Soon she began to resist a little slowly and soon, there was no more fighting back.

As her eyes closed, Raquel slowly but surely drifted into the world of the dead.

She could hear the cries of her neighbour who went,

'Blood–

What do we do?' only after she had become an accomplice to murder.

'Be quiet and let's handle the corpse quietly.' Her husband responded.

Upon her dying breath, Raquel cursed them.

"You two, I'll make sure you pay for what you've done…

Just…

Just you…. Wait…" Those were her last oath before her soul left, however, it seems fate may have other plans.

It was while she battled with her husband that she noticed a mysterious being, watching her by the window side.

With his face down, he smiled at her and said.

"It seems we have another stubborn soul. Would you like to make a deal with me?"
