The frustration I feel when she is around... Is unbelievable. She has my face but with softer reddish brown eyes, and a mole on her left cheek. Her addiction to human alcohol and demon blood stays evident by the pungent smell of death on her breath.
Dena, what are you doing here you are supposed to be watching the east gates 300 miles from here.
She laughed. "Sister, it's okay. Broderick has it covered. I think he does a fantastic job at securing gates and what not. Besides, we won our last three battles! I'm ready to celebrate. I'm starting to think you are purposefully trying to keep me away!"
"Dena, it is not Broderick's responsibility to do YOUR job. We don't have time to throw parties. You are…"
"Irresistible. I know sis. Your compliments are amazing. We need to celebrate." Dena's smirk sparked anger in me.
There is nothing I can do to stop her from having this party. She is not like me. I am a crusading demon. I thrive on war, strife and discourse . Dena is a separate class, a vexing demon. Their main goal is to provoke all they encounter and spread malice, discord and insatiability throughout the land. And what better time to provoke people than with a party.
"No."
Dena's smile grew wicked. Contorting all of the features of her face. "No? Dearest sister, I am not asking. We will party tonight. Then I'll go back to Broderick in the morning"
I turned and started walking away. "I will not be in attendance. I have other matters to attend to."
"But sis. I'll need you. We both know Dola will not come either. Besides, she'll definitely ruin the fun. I need you to balance us out."
I tried to contain my anger but a small rumble of the ground betrayed me.
"Now sis. We need to keep that anger at bay." Dena watched me, eyes blazing with excitment. She laughed. "Sorry, force of habit."
Her smile pissed me off even more. "I'm not going. Ask Dola."
"Speak of the demon."
Dola walked in. "I felt that my name was about to come up. Fun thing about being triplets. Right!?" Her eyes were covered by human glasses that shaded her eyes.
I stared at my sisters. Outwardly, we shared most of the same physical features except our eye and hair colors. My hair, white with golden eyes, Dena's hair black with deep reddish brown eyes and Dola's hair is red with brown eyes, she looked the most human out of all of us.
"Great. Love that you are here. I will handle our 'sorcerer' issue." I hurried out of the room. When the three of us are together, nothing good ever happens to those around us. I needed to talk to our 'sorcerer', and find out what he wanted.
My sisters' anger flared. I smiled. "Well, I think he's just a human that can do magic, but I will call him 'sorcerer,' for now." Dola's anger flared and silence rang loudly through the space.
"We got rid of all of those bastards."
The sky darkened and large pellets of ice began to fall from the sky. Dola's face contorted and a wave of cold flushed over me and Dena.
Dena's excitement added to the rage boiling inside Dola. I shook my head and continued my walk towards the castle. "Calm down! We don't know if…"
Dena appeared in front of me, blocking Dola from striking me down. I sighed and pushed past them both. "Dola, you need to go to Dena's party. I have other things to do."
Dola laughed. "I will kill him. Whether he is a sorcerer or not. You're wasting your time. Magic users always turn to sorcery."
