Blood

Myalis anticipated that he would wait until she wouldn't expect him to shoot before making his move, but she didn't take her eyes off the ball for a moment. He pretended to throw the ball and she moved, at which point he smiled and jumped over her, throwing the ball into the hoop as she laughed.

"He scored, who do you guys think will win?" Their grandfather asked and the king and queen looked at them and then sighed.

"They are having fun, so it doesn't matter; I'm pretty sure it's not about losing or winning here," The queen responded and he nodded then the king smiled.

"They really love each other, don't they?" The queen asked and the king nodded, then she smiled.

Since he was the one with the ball, her brother was going to try again to score, but Myalis smiled and stopped him in his tracks before he could take another shot. His eyes widened as she jumped up and grabbed the ball, he threw, then she landed back on her feet, holding it in her hand and started bouncing the ball around.

She said, "Try and take it," and he grinned before rushing over to her and attempting to grab the ball. However, she spun around, jumped up by the hoop, and threw the ball in as her mother applauded, she chuckled, and her brother laughed.

"Smarty pants," He said as she winked at him while bouncing the ball.

Her brother's eyes were fixed on her movement, which she knew because she usually does the exact same thing. As she was about to make the move he expected her to make, she changed the routine and hit the ball beside him, then jumped up and hit it into the hoop, and they cheered for her.

Just when she was about to land on her feet, her sight blurred and she was about to fall. Her brother's eyes widened and he was about to catch her but his attention was diverted by the sound of a growl as the king and his wife sprang to their aid since she would have crashed into her brother as well.

The queen grabbed her son, and the king snatched Myalis into his arms; she wiped her eyes, and they returned to normal, and he placed her on the ground.

"You guys should be more careful," The queen said, and they both smiled before nodding, and the grandfather chuckled before patting both of them on the head and drawing his sword after noticing something with red eyes watching them, and the three stood before the prince and princess as a silver fox appeared in the light.

The fox looked at Myalis, and she smiled at it then it bowed its head, and before her grandfather could attack it, she jumped in front of it, and he looked at her.

"It's fine, it's just passing through," The fox then left, and the grandfather sighed before the fox turned around and looked at Myalis then rushed off.

"Well, it appears to me that you have won the game," The grandfather said, and she nodded as her brother wrapped his arm around her neck.

"I am willing to pay up, fair match," He said, and Myalis grinned as they both noticed the king and their grandfather staring at them with bright smiles, and they looked at each other before looking at them, knowing they were up to something.

"Why are you two smiling that much?" Her brother asked.

"We are going to introduce you to a few people, it won't take long, you can come along as well, Myalis," Her father said.

"I'll just stay at home; there's no way I'm going, but thanks for the offer; you guys be careful, I am too tired," She replied then he smiled and patted her on the back.

"All right, let's go, Myalis, take care of your mother and yourself until we return," The king said, and she smiled before nodding, before her brother waved and they left.

Myalis then set the ball down, and her mother smiled at her before going inside, and she smiled back before going to her room to freshen up because she was tired and wanted to rest.

While taking her bath, the thought about what happened earlier in the kitchen and at the ceremony, especially with what her mom did due to which she had to lie to the rest of her family was stuck in her head and she got angry at it since she didn't know what the reason was.

Since no one else was home and they were the only ones left, Myalis made the decision to confront her mother at that point. She didn't want to have to lie to anyone else any longer and had a vague idea as to why her mother must have done what she did given the talent she awakened.

Myalis had no idea that she was mistaken about a lot of things and most were about things around her.

After finishing her bath, the girl changed into a long-sleeved, long blue, silky nightgown, then threw herself down on her bed and stretched off while yawning, falling asleep because she was tired.

Less than half an hour later, while sleeping, she felt a dark shadow looming over her, and her body began to tremble as her nails grew longer, and she began to feel as if her body was being squeezed by something due to the pain coursing through her.

Within her dreams, she saw something dark with a scary face-attacking her, and she woke up immediately, panting. She looked around her and saw that she was completely normal, and her nail had returned to normal before she opened her eyes.

Myalis wondered why this was happening and remembered that the only other time she had a similar dream and felt the same pain was when she was a child, only now the pain had grown worse.

The girl sighed, then got out of bed and went down to the kitchen, where she drank a glass of water to calm herself down.

"Why am I seeing such horrible things? I was able to awaken one talent, but why did the stone glow so differently than it normally does? Am I..." She mumbled then sighed as she closed her eyes, then set the glass down and walked out of the kitchen.

'I should really see mom about all of this, she is the one who taught me lying was bad as a child, but then again she said, lying to protect the ones you love isn't such a bad thing, but what the hell is this..... I don't understand, I hate this feeling...' She was thought as she walked up the stairs, heading to her mother's room, intending to talk to her mother about what was going on.

When she arrived at her mother's room, she noticed she wasn't there and sighed. She then went to look at the balcony at the back of the castle, which overlooked the mountains, where her mother usually went to get some fresh air.

When the princess got there, she gasped when she saw her mother standing in front of her and her eyes widened when she saw that there was blood on the balcony floor.
