A mess

The queen placed her hand on Myalis's back, and the princess looked at her and her eyes began glowing purple and her mother pulled back then the girl sighed before lowering her head and hitting her hand away then she got into the carriage and her brother looked at her then sighed and entered after them, and they left, heading back to the castle because it was already night and they were quite tired.

When they arrived back at the castle and exited the carriage, Myalis looked at her brother, who was clutching his stomach because he was hungry, and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Come on, we will have dinner then we will call it a night, it's pretty late, I will cook," She said and he nodded as they went straight to the kitchen and the others smiled at them.

Her brother noticed that she was acting a little strangely as she was cooking what they wanted to eat for dinner, and his eyes narrowed. He then gave her a shoulder tap, and she quickly turned around to look at him.

"What's the matter? Are you still worried about what happened today at the awakening ceremony sis?" He asked and she clenched her right fist since she didn't want to lie to him, but didn't see any other way to get him off her back.

"I am fine, you don't have to worry about me so much, prepare yourself to leave for the academy soon, you are getting to go just like father said, please stop worrying about me, the food will finish soon," She responded then he sighed and sat down, waiting for it to finish.

While waiting, he remembered he had something to do then up and left the kitchen, when Myalis's eyes began glowing bright purple as well as her hands and she looked at them before flinching, causing the food that she was cooking to explode, causing a mess then she went back to normal and after the others heard.

Her father rushed in from outside along with her grandfather and her brother flung up from the couch while her mother rushed down from upstairs, all wondering what happened in the kitchen.

"What happened?" Her mother asked as they arrived in the kitchen and when they saw the mess they looked at Myalis, she lowered her head then they burst out laughing, her brother approached her then wiped a sauce off of her face and she sighed.

"What happened? You never made any mess in this kitchen before, you are a great cook," Her mother said and Myalis sighed as her brother wiped her clothes.

"I don't know what happened, I must have done something wrong, sorry," She said as she glanced at her mother, the queen lowered her head and then sighed.

"Relax sis, you go change, we will help clean up, you will owe me one though," Her brother said and she smiled then patted him on the head before leaving to change off and they began helping to clean up the kitchen.

"She is straightforward, hardworking, cute, brave, the best daughter ever," The king said while cleaning up.

"You are a doting father, how great," The king said and the king smiled as the queen and prince chuckled then the prince patted him on the shoulder.

A while after they finished cleaning up, Myalis came back to the kitchen, they looked at her and she smiled at them.

"Thanks, guys, I will make dinner from scratch, then we can eat," She said and they nodded, then she began cooking and they all sat down in the kitchen and she looked at them.

"What's the matter?" She asked.

"We will stay until you are finished," Her mother responded and she exhaled deeply, then chuckled.

Her mother got up and began helping her cook their meal and Myalis smiled as the others helped in doing other things.

The king sighed and looked at the smiles on his family's faces before lowering his head with unease as they were cooking.

'We have worked hard to stay together, they have been through a lot, nearly losing a member of this family; this happened because of the influence of our royal status as well as the type of ability we possess. We are fortunate to even have this moment of happiness despite everything, and I will try my best to keep them safe,' he thought before his son patted him on the shoulder and he smiled at them.

A while passed them in the kitchen and when the food was finally finished, her grandfather sniffed in the nice aroma, the prince placed his hand on his mouth and he looked at him.

"What?" He asked.

"This is to keep you from drooling," He responded and the king burst out laughing.

"Serves you right," The king said and his father exhaled deeply, then the princess served them their meals and they all sat down by the couch in the living room and began eating their meal.

After they began eating, they all smiled and the grandfather looked at the princess and then smiled.

"Sweetheart," He said and she glanced at him.

"This is nice, thank you," He added and she smiled brightly.

"You are welcome," She said then began eating her share.

A while after, they finished eating, she looked at her brother as he played with fire forming at the tip of his finger then she smiled before leaving the living room with a frown appearing on her face.

Myalis went outside and lay back on the lawn while gazing at the night sky after setting her plate and glass in the kitchen. Her brother then went and joined her, and she looked at him as he smiled.

"The stars, they are pretty, aren't they?" He asked and she nodded before stretching off with a yawn.

Her brother didn't want to talk about it at first because he was afraid of hurting her, thinking he was hurt because she couldn't awaken a talent, but after she started talking, he relaxed and began talking about what he wanted to do seeing that she was okay with it.

After a while of talking, she noticed the ball they usually play with on the floor. Her brother got up and picked it up, and she looked at him as his eyes narrowed. He then picked up a hoop from the floor and threw it up in the air, where it started to float, and she chuckled.

"You really want to go, don't you?" She asked.

"Winner gets ice cream, a lot, and the loser has to do whatever the winner wants, that's a good offer don't you think?" He asked as their parents and grandfather came outside and sat down under a pavilion.

"Fine, you are on, let's see what you really got, bro," She responded and he chuckled as he began bouncing the ball on the ground, she fixed her position before him while looking at the ball as he bounced it.
