Love for the first time

As JoJo and his friends were out for a break at school, they went out to get something to buy. In school these boys are inseparable, always go for break together and set sits close to eachother. Just like a pair of socks, one can't go without the other

On their way, they talked about football and new released movies. They got to a busy roadside, by it was a small market. At the entrance was a fair lady...quite good looking. She was holding a ladel, selling one of JoJo and his friends favourite food. Which was beans with sliced ripe plantain

She had her face down, with a river of sweat running down her entire face. We quickly approached the lady, the shortest among called Aaron asked the lady the price of the which she sells at. The lady with a calm soft voice replied "I sell from Gh¢2.00 upwards, how much do you want to buy?". Aaron replied "em...hold on a minute I will be right back" he went and told the others what he was told, it was their first time buying from there. The aroma of the food was awesomely good

To our notice we found ourselves joined in a long queue. About 15mins later it was now our turn, Aaron signed with a relief. JoJo was the first to buy, followed by Aaron, then the tall boy. Each total cost was Gh¢5.00. We were all eager to upon taking a bite before getting to campus.

After 5mins of walk, we returned to the school gate then JoJo bought three bottles of water to drink after eating. From a near by shop close to the school. The tall boy among them called Henry always brings water from the house to school but this time, he had forgotten to do so.

We entered a nearby class close to our class to eat, immediately we got there I was the first to start eating. They were all surprised, saying ''chill out bro" we all laughed. To my surprise I was overwhelmed, the food was really amazing. A glorious food taken in after months of wandering in the desert, I even began to shed tears. JoJo said to me "a little food is not worth sheding tears no matter how good it is" and I burnt my tongue from the first bite I took.

We talked whiles eating and out from the bloom, JoJo said to me, I have something to ask you later. I was the drenched to the teeth of my skin due to his tune, I had hundreds of thoughts going on in my head. When we finished we went to class and JoJo pulled out his phone showing a chat of him and a girl in the next class whom I later found out she was Patience. Well, we have known her for about 2years now but her name kept escaping me.

He later handed his phone to me to read their chats, the text seemed friendly at first. The girl sent her picture and asked "JoJo how do I look?" you are damn pretty" JoJo replied and later added "it seems you're growing slim or is it just my eyes?". Patience laughed and said "no...I have actually been going to the gym", "you, at the gym ! Do you want to break your remaining bones ?" JoJo exclaimed. Patience got her right wrist broken from a volley game she joined.

Getting to the middle part of it, she said "I love you". I was tempted to ask some questions but hesitated to do so because I could not think of the . After completing the reading, he asked if the love message was really about friendship love or not. I nodded to it saying "i-it definitely a friendship love" and JoJo told me not to tell anyone about this.

A different subject teacher entered the class so the phone was placed in a school bag of his to avoid distractions when teaching is ongoing. Whiles studying, quite frankly I was still distracted. I was so curious whether she loved him or not and didn't know if I did answered his question correctly or not. I got desperate to find out more...in a twinkle of an eye the lesson was over. We had closed for the day, I walked a to the bus stop with my friends and talked more about the issue.

Getting a vehicle back home was really dreadful and it had started to drizzle. Just when I thought nothing could go wrong, about two minutes later I got a vehicle. When I entered it started raining heavily as if the rain was waiting for me to get into a vehicle. Well I was just astonished by that but I found the rain very calming. After about thirty minutes of drive I alighted at the 10th bus stop. From there I had to walk home in the rain, I love the rain it one my favourite things about the weather but it not when you are getting beaten down by it. I held my bag in my hands and started running as if being chased down by a bull because walking will just be awkward.

I got drenched from the downpour of rain in less than a minute, my face looked like a cake left in out in the rain. While running, I saw a blue canopy ahead with two men standing under and so I quickly went in that direction to take cover. I was happy standing under the canopy and not getting beaten by the rain. There was a strange look from one of the men with bald head, probably in his 30's or 40's. This man asked "are you running an imaginary race? " I busted into laughter uh....no please, I replied. While there, I took a glance at my bag it was soaked.

I got pissed then started walking towards my house because the bag I was preventing me from getting wet is now wet. I later found it delightful despite being wet. I descended a hill and then finally I was back home, I took a nice hot bath and changed my cloths to prevent me from catching a cold. Then took out my phone to study for a while, I turned on my mobile data and JoJo had send a message confirming Patience really is really into him. I asked him "so what do you think about it? " all he said was "I'm not ready for a relationship yet" then I said to him. "If that is what you feel or think then tell that to Patience" he said "okay I will". A few minutes later, JoJo again sent a message. Hoping all went all well, but the tables had turned mericulously.

He said "that didn't go according to as planned" I exclaimed "what happened !". With a long face and mixed feelings he said " Patience had wanted to break friendship ties with me if, I don't date her. I even told her to wait but still to no avail" that was unbelievable to my hearing. "So what happened next, did you accept it?" I asked. He replied "I had no choice, didn't want to end our friendship, so I accepted it". "You did what...!" I asked with complete astonishment, it was unimaginable hearing that. He said "yes, yes I did". That was a lot to take in me. I asked so "what are you going to do, do you feel okay about it?" he said ''not quite sure" I wrapped my mind around it. Then later gave up who knows, it might be for the better
