CHAPTER 8: CHRISTIAN

At last my fated and I are reunited, from the second I got a glimpse of her to the moment she showed up in my world. A deep desire to claim, break and protect her woke a dark side that I immediately shot down. Beside her was perhaps a lover? He still wished to rip apart for he seeks to take what was mine. Perched in the tallest branch, he scoffed in disgust. Out of all the beings or at least at a bare minimum humans in the world she chose a damned dog.

In a time black as day wolves were used as hunters. With them were wolfs with supernatural abilities used to hunt and kill side from humans. Hunting with weapons to slow or temporarily paralyze the paranormal before they delivered the final blow, pathetic they never fought fair hence why everybody just fled. That's how the 'human' hunters got the upper hand especially in making my father a beast feared today.

The dog way knows nothing about protecting Vita, this was clearly new territory for the wolf and without its pack or weapons it would not stand a chance at least a vampire. No she deserves a powerful man by her side one who did not need to play according to any rules. Yes he admitted a wolf were designed to be formidable warriors trained to hunt and kill of blood but he was far superior. If the wolf dared mess with his own, he will be as dead as any chance of him letting his fated go.

After an idiotic observation Zoe threatened to leave his life before he could permanently be a part of it. Which brought up brand new feeling, fear.

"I don't mean you stink, I mean you smell like the wolf and yes that is revolting."

Holding her hand I clarified and felt her melt against me. Hands connected we shared the same ability to read each other with no barriers.

Unfortunately his fated timing was not the best due to the roaring of the good seeking retribution. No longer than 72-hours a guardian angel was found dead, and the order is roaring of demonic blood is responsible. Making it to the site near a catholic grave yard with Michael investigating the scene.

"Who sins so badly, as to murder the purest in cold blood?"

All he could do was scoff as his attention was drawn by a large grey feather, perhaps a fallen did this?"

I pondered pocketing the firm but gentle evidence, later when he gave himself enough time to piece out the puzzle each feather can puzzle.

The truth is this was certainly not the first time he found feathers… He always found one a great distance or near a body. I have spent months trying to figure out what, where or how these murders occurred. Glancing at Michaels pure white, rich angelic wings poised behind him as dragging behind him but strong enough to have the ability to with stand every humanly weapon. Idea in mind he knelt beside the dead angel and cupped its cold frail hand, focusing on his energy last.

"Nothing."

Another block tempting his patients. If Michael and I could not stop these murders by force will the war pend?

This alliance is by morals… Michael believes his brother's character would never stoop as low as to murder. Unlike many angelic beings he was the most open minded, teaming up to solve murders of greater beings clashing. We were nowhere close to having answers, Michael wants the peace and roses, It is clear that he was never tasked to watching over the horror of humans. I just don't want to be in charge of the damage control and clean up.

"I will go speak to father, there is no way he will believe Lucifer has anything to do about this hell his in… Well… Hell."

Scoffing once more as Michael took off and once again I was not surprised when the body vanished along.

"Your forgiving father has a thing or two to learn about forgiveness (Zeus)."

Mossing of to the quiz he was no way closer to answers. I believe all the answers could come from the feathers or at least the one behind the chaos.

Investigation one side I focused on easing my Vitas curiosity. She sat opposite me with a happy Loralei next to her when she muttered the most important question she needed to know about him.

"What are you?"

Poorly phrased but the question none the less stuck because even if it did have an answer most would shudder but it was agreed Chiara would break his story down for his Zoe.

Compared to most humans I am a saint, compared to most stories, my one is a trilogy. Who I was in my book would never be the good guy or at least an accidental hero, my pages where too damaged to deserve her. By the forces of the fallen foul, I will be damned to let her go not when I have waited in human terms for two life times to find her.

"There is a new death, Astaroth."

Instead of purchasing a phone Michael deemed it necessary to send a fire messages. What being is so powerful to murder a greater demon and angelic blood? Astaroth is the demon enslaver of one world prior to mythological legends.

"Christian?"

Focusing on my long-time friend, my face darkened in frustration as the stress of the news sank in.

"Keep her here and safe, I will be right back."

There were not known ways to go to hell apart from what human believed was a sin but going to my father has to be the last option. I hate the fact fate made me its fool then made me more of a fool and ensured that the mother of nature is missing in action.

Heading to the solace of my room I could not help but stare at the greyed feathers and hate on his luck. I don't give two fucks if the beings wanted each other dead, it was not his business and I hate the responsibility thrust upon me. I would never wish Zoe into my world but call me selfish because soon she would be introduced to the dark.

A soft knock wrapped and my gorgeous dark, luscious angel stepped in lighting up his world. At that moment I did not care about the world's mishaps, deals and murders. My focus burnt into her dark gaze and perfectly styled hair. My focus deepened on her slight hesitation, beat of her heart and the amount of seconds it took before she blinked. I focused on seeing her sorrow, confusion, intrigue and strength. She is his African goddess he wanted to worship and he wanted her to want for nothing in this life as well as the next. For the first time he is thanking any of fates minions for his chocolate gift.

IDK why I will be talking about Zeus but creativity is what it is. I will talk about fate, destiny, soul bond, blood bond and please keep in mind this is literaly my first straight book. Like it ? Add to library!
