I began writing because I simply couldn't find stories similar to what I wrote and for those that are written, I have already read them. Or they go on indefinite Hiatus and then I feel empty inside. What to expect? -Strong Mc to even more OP MC -MC is Cold and Cunning / If he does something out of good will, it is because it will benefit him. -MC is Non-Human -Side characters that each serve their purpose / and aren't just forgotten. -Slow paced build up and a few time skips but small jump skips. -Decent World building is a must -No Harem/ but some small romance -Kingdom building -System/ but won't focus too much on crunching numbers. It will be kept at reasonable numbers. -1 chapter a day keeps the reader at bay. -Each chapter is 1,300 to 1,700 words. Chapter 47: Pawns
Hours later, Valeria along with her entourage returned to Krestfall after having talked with Vulcan and his party. Her butler, who had been with the family for generations, was serving wine to all the guests in her large study.
"Hmph, I told Esteban they seemed off. Who knows what they were plotting originally before you roped them in, Valeria," commented Belmont in a criticizing tone about 'Dark Sentry'.
"It matters not what they were doing, they've signed the binding contract. As long as they are on our side, it will be to our benefit. Cheers, to another step to the throne," Valeria said, raising her glass along with Belmont and Lucius.
"I understand that they've joined us, but there isn't a need to think awful things about them. They're our allies, we should treat them as such," said Lucius, not enjoying the way Belmont talked down to their future comrades.
