The War (Someone's note 10)

Pheremoor, the largest human kingdom. The very head of the plan to capture mages to die. I stood on top of Evillious as I looked down from a cliff, the palace I will now be raiding. All those humans will soon be nothing but blood, flesh, and bones as my army of sprites will rain down upon them. After today shall be the fateful day that I take down this kingdom and show to the whole world how weak and filthy humans really are. These fools who think they have the right for anything they desire, I shall show them the terror of death.

By night before the attack, I checked on the condition of the sprites. I will not force those who were unwilling to join the battle. They were always free to leave, yet none did so. I know I have chosen the right decision. Before I went to sleep, I went to Evillious who was merely gazing up the moon.

"What're you doing here, it's cold you know," I sat down beside him. "Everyone else already went ethereal. You should, too."

*screech*

"I know it's tomorrow. That is why we have to be ready and get plenty of rest."

*screech*

"I'm the one asking you. Don't go changing the subject towards me. I'm fine..." I leaned myself towards him. "I've had colder times than this one..."

*screech"

"Yes, I'm fine... Don't worry about me. Worry about yourself. You'll be doing all the work while all I could do is command and stand for display."

*screech*

"It's not going to happen. I won't die, I promise... It's my curse for being alive... It's my curse for living that time when everyone else died..."

*screech*

"There you are again with your overprotectiveness! I'm not going to just watch from afar. I will be there on your shoulder all the way till the end."

This time, Evillious went silent as he once again gazed upon the stars It was as if looking at a child full of wonder... Suddenly it reminded me of myself every night with Master Eviam on the roof as we watched the stars.

I stood up and left while telling him, "Get some rest, were going to war tomorrow..." I felt like not looking back as I continued walking and sat down to sleep under a huge tree. Tomorrow is the day, everything shall begin. I closed my eyes and welcomed slumber's embrace.

"Evarice! Evarice! There is no time! You should go by yourself!! Hurry!!"

"No, Master Eviam!"

"Listen, we mages don't really die... We are all powerful, right?"

"No, we aren't... We are weak and powerless... Master Eviam... Master Eviam..."

I opened my eyes and saw the light of dawn paint over my face. I remembered nothing about what I just dreamed. Yet it wasn't important as of now. Today is the day. Even without magic, I shall bring forth what the humans deserved long ago.

I gathered the sprites in their ethereal form in front of me and Evillious by my side. I faced about three hundred sprites including the gigantic one I found on that desert. With the wave of my hand, they all went towards the kingdom and it's city in their ethereal form. Some flew over while some were positioned exactly to where the humans were. I just merely entered with an ethereal Evillious by my side. None of these stupid humans could see nor hear, nor feel them. I just walked by past these fools as I went to the center of the city. There stood an enormous statue of the king. It looked uglier than hell.

Suddenly a group of children came to me and extended a crown made from flowers. I then accepted it as the little girl said, "Girls should wear flowers to look beautiful!"

As I witness the group of children ran towards their parents, I wore the flower crown on my head as I looked at the king statue, "You don't deserve your crown... Same as I"

I then nodded at Evillious right next to me. By that he emerged from being ethereal and screeched so loud that humans nearby have to cover their ears. After about a minute of screeching, human soldiers came to investigate and saw the two of us as I rode on Evillious's shoulder with a smile.

Just then, the sprites began emerging from being ethereal and wrecked havoc all over the huge city. They all left not a single human within sight alive. From everywhere I looked,I see bodies being flung up the air and blood scattered all over.

Human soldiers began arriving on massive numbers and fought against us. That city became a battlefield as we plunged our way further into the castle. Mercilessly, Evillious slaughtered every single human on sight. For me, it felt like paradise as the color of their blood gave color to our path like a red carpet of kings.

As we came closer, arrows began falling from the sky. I then commanded the flying sprites to target those archers first. As they were killing them, I felt the presence of magic came to us. That was when a massive fireball fell down from the sky and killed three sprites at once. To lose even one is a great threat to us. I looked beyond the smoke and saw three floating humans in white robes. They appear to be the humans who were given magic by torturing those mages to death. For me, they were the most unforgivable humans of all, to dare wield magic.

"Hahahahahaha! Pathetic! Just pathetic! To command useless sprites to war, how brainless!" a white haired man laughed hard at us.

"Be on guard you fool, sprites can be strong!" another man with long black hair spoke.

"Could she be the leader?" a blonde woman pointed at me and Evillious. "Hahaha! So lame!"

"Let's torture her with the magic they loved so much!" the white haired man launched himself towards us.

"Evillious!!!" as I called out, Evillious opened his mouth at the center of his body and let out a huge blast. Unfortunately, he managed to dodge to the side.

As he did, he was grabbed by a mud sprite and was about to devour him when his comrades fired an ice spear and destroyed it's hand.

"Be more careful you fool!" the black haired man said while helping him up. "Never underestimate the enemy."

"I don't know about that Simon! Ahahaha!" the blonde woman flew straight towards us. "It would seem like she cannot use magic. She should've done so herself but didn't!!!"

"Tianva, wait!" the person called Simon screamed as a sprite emerged from the ground and grabbed her, although she escaped, two flying sprites came to attack her. She then flew faster above and escaped.

"Haha! I wasn't best in levitation for nothing you fool!" the person called Tianva boasted.

Tchh, I then ordered the rest to temporarily retreat and regroup. However, those three won't let us as they followed us while raining magic attacks.

"Where are you going?!" the white haired man fixated his eyes on me. "Wait, I'll give you a good time, how about that?! Kuhehehe!!"

Just then, we were cornered by human soldiers blocking our path. Evillious then extended the length of his arms and grabbed held to a nearby house. He then smashed it towards them before leaping high in the air when that Tianva woman floated towards us.

"How about this??" she pointed her staff towards us and lightning came and went a direct hit on the two of us. I felt the pain of being hit by lighting and Evillious wobbly landed safely on top of a nearby rooftop.

"Are you okay, Evillious?" I caressed his shoulder.

He just continued running away from the enemy's attacks. I looked up at the three fake mages above me. If only I had my staff and sacred ornament, they would've been nothing but flies. But I can no longer find them after Master Eviam hid them for punishment.

"That sprite is fast!" Simon halted on air. "We don't have strong magic energy. As much as possible, let us conserve it."

"I'm not like you weaklings!!" the white haired man continued chasing. "I'll have her all to myself!!"

"Not in a million years, Rozz!" and Tianva followed him in pursuit.

Little do they know, I may not have magical capabilities anymore, I still have the greatest knowledge in mixing chemicals. Using whatever I found and mixing them, as well as extraction of unnecessary parts, I am able to make tools like magic.

I opened the small bag on my waist and took out a wooden sphere.

"Evillious, call any sprite nearby with fire capabilities, hurry!" I then opened the sphere and a pitch black smoke rose up to them. After Evillious screeched, a sprite in the form of a humanoid butterfly came and blew fire towards the smoke. I immediately threw the sphere towards them and as soon as the flames hit the smoke, it sparked and exploded a huge explosion.

The two then were caught up in the explosion and screamed in pain. Of course I know that's not enough to stop them. "Now, Evillious!"

Evillious then opened his center mouth as the two fell down. He then sucked the air to pull them into his mouth. However, the one called Simon summoned a flame ball and had it sucked towards Evillious's mouth.

"Evillious! Stop!" I screamed but it was too late. Evillious's mouth got burned as he wriggled and fell on his feet. "Evillious!!"

The two then got back up on their feet and angrily pointed their staffs to Evillious. They then both fired a massive fireball together which exploded upon hitting Evillious huge body.

"Hah!! Take that you freak!!" the man called Rozz ran towards us but was blocked by five sprites who appeared to defend us. "Tchh..."

"Careful Rozz," Simon stepped forward while pointing his staff at me. "Who are you?! Why did you attack us? Are you aware of how much innocent lives you have killed? Have you no sense of pity?!?!"

More sprites began gathering around us. I noticed them increase in number. Suddenly, from behind those fake mages, came more human soldiers.

"Pity, pity, I see... Does pity only apply to humans? And not to us mages?" I giggled to myself. "My, how cruelly unfair this world is..." I then took a glimpse of Evillious slowly regaining strength.

"Haa?! Who cares about you creeps?! All you do is hide and plot evil schemes," Rozz raised his chin. "What were doing is merely self defense..."

Suddenly, Simon raised his arm in front of Rozz and swayed his head, "I understand how you feel. However, you should be aware that you projected your anger towards those innocents who did nothing wrong, nor were even involved in those incidents. Basically, you are just a madwoman in their eyes..."

"Hahaha.... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I then took out another sphere from my bag. "Don't you dare talk about understanding in front of an ancient who roamed this world longer than you fools did..."

I shall win, no, we shall win this... I just have to hang on...

Im very sorry for posting late! I'll do my best to at least get back on track. Thank you very much for always reading my book.
