SECRECY OF NOAH

Meanwhile in the conference hall of Aurora Enterprises.

Mr. Roy informed me to come over to the conference hall for the meeting and I went over. He has covered almost every detail of the Ember & co Industries, all official information.

"Good, Mr. Roy, these can be found easily on the internet. I am asking for the information of Noah's private life and related details. Look up for it. I need every detail he did in hiding for ten years. Each and every part of it." I looked for his response.

He gaped at me.

" Fine , Just get it done by tomorrow!" I sighed and walked out.

I sauntered to my office and leaned on the chair, tossing my phone on the table.

" Noah…..Where were you when I suffered alone for a decade? What do you expect from me now? How could you show up without a bit of shame? What are you devising?" I said out aloud in frustration and  I looked around my office, groaning at the fact that I'm still all alone.

My intercom started ringing and I picked up the receiver.

"Ma'am...…I found something off about Mr. Noah's doings for the past decade...it's …..he kept disappearing despite the important meetings or situations. I think he must be doing something secretly!"

'Mr. Roy...'

"Yes Ma'am...…"

'Didn't I tell you to get every detail, each and every part of it tomorrow?'

"Of Course, you did."

'Then What's the rush? Find what he did secretly and let me know tomorrow. EACH. And .EVERY. "

'Part of it ma'am...' he ended my sentence.

"You're so exceptional, Mr. Roy. Now go reflect on yourself," I ballowed.

'Tch...…These people are.....just excited....by all the tiny details.....' I bent over the table, resting my elbows on it.

My phone screen blinked twice notifying a text from a number not in my contacts. I took the phone, unlocked and touched the sms received.

"Hey, Ms. Ruthless Queen, it's Noah! Save my number, you might need it. " with a wink smiley.

"Don't you go deleting my number, cause you will really need it." I could feel his commanding tone reading the text.

I tossed the phone angrily. 'Noah, you're an xxxxx. ' I cursed him.

"Yes, I wasn't ready for the marriage arranged by my father, I hated you for that. But when I saw you first, on our engagement day, I did fall in love at first sight, which I never believed in. You were the most stunning, most talented man in his twenties.

The title 'A young prodigy of businesses' really suited you. You've proposed the marriage as a business transaction between two corporates and you never cared for the feelings of others, that hurt me more when I realized I fell for you of all others. But you never cared for my father nor my feelings, who could just play with anyone's life so casually. Tch…I just hate you both and love you both. Hmph…." I sighed.

'I won't allow anyone to play with my emotions, my feelings, Never, Ever!'

The sudden knock on the door brought me back from my memories.

"Who's it?"

Mr. Roy entered with an emotionless face, yet waiting to burst out.

'Mr. Roy?' I raised a brow at him.

"It's an emergency!" he breathed.

'What?' perplexed by his words.

"The raw materials we get for our new clothing brand is one of Noah's companies."

'So….?', I heaved a sigh.

'But ….Isn't he our foe? I mean he was hiding the fact that he owns that company even after signing the agreement? '

"Tch….Mr. Roy…Are there any complications in the raw materials we've received so far?"

'No….'

"Are there any doubts regarding the quality of those raw materials or any other complaints from the consumer side?"

'No….Ms. Ash !'

"Good then. Just ignore the fact that the company is Noah's and huh…he is not our enemy, Mr. Roy. He just betrayed me and my father. Don't mix personal things into profession, especially my personal thing!"

'Understood Ms. Ash…I apologize for the rudeness!'

"So, What made you think that the owner is Noah?" My voice curious.

'Well, As you told, I've looked into Noah's private life and his sudden disappearance when we were struggling to find the raw materials.

Looks like he has helped us in our dire situation without letting us know it. Maybe you would've denied his help years back. I am happy that they stayed loyal to us ', he finished in awe realizing the truth.

"Hmph….Are you siding with him now?"

'Well  …I just stated the fact!'

"Really…What about the facts I've asked for?"

'Didn't you give me a day's time to find them?' he grinned ludicrously.

"You're the smartest employee I ever had Mr. Roy! Just go search on him."

'Yes…Ms. Ash…I will surprise you with the facts.' he smirked and left my office.

I exasperated and leaned over my chair reflecting on my words, "Where were you when I suffered alone ?" and felt guilty.

"What the hell are you doing with me Noah, Why the heck do you hold a key for my emotions? What were you planning when you denied the proposal, What were you thinking when you broke off our engagement?" I held my face in my palms, elbows resting on the table.

"Damn…This ain't happening with me, I can't go back to him just because he has helped me indirectly." I stiffened my back and started looking at the documents, my assistant kept on my table for my approval.

As I looked into them, I realized it was related to our new clothing brand and the renewal agreement with the raw material company.

They've never quoted higher amounts in their papers but a moderate amount. The whole documents, the quotations, contract were so genuine and clear. I remembered Mr. Roy's words of their loyalty and it was true .I nodded involuntarily and signed the papers.

"Noah….You're something!" I grinned unknowingly.

The day went on, reminding Noah, anywhere, everywhere I went. I left home early wanting to avoid hearing about Noah.
