Evolution and Promises

Ailine surprised me. I mean she's not the strongest or fastest, and I was scared she might die when I went to do my transformation, but not only did she not die, but she somehow got the orc to cleave the giant snake in half. Seems my wife isn't so unimpressive.

Let's see evolution options…

Holy Defender and Vampire Berserker > Shield Paladin and Violent Vampire Berserker

Holy Defender and Vampire Berserker > Bloody Paladin Berserker.

The first option seems to be an enhanced version of my current classes. The second one combines the classes allowing me to easily switch between forms but doesn't increase my stats as much as the other two. The third option…

This one allows my paladin form to take some of the strength from my dragon form and increases my blood-based abilities in my berserker form. Since each hit causes backlash, strengthening my body and increasing the strength of my blood abilities will both relieve that strain. I would like the decreased time for switching forms, but this is probably my best bet for completing this rift.

I could feel my body changing. My dragon-like features started to appear on my body. Short horns appeared from the top of my forehead on either side. One on the left and the other on the right. Instead of purple like my dragon form, they took a golden form like my eyes. A thin lengthy white scaly tail, contrary to my short stature, grew just above the great divide of my butt.

This surprised Ailine, who watched this transformation from the front row seats. I guess growing horns and a dragon tail would freak most unknowing people out. She didn't know I was a dragon after all.

"I've got a draconic babe as a wife? Win!" Gosh, she's so stupid. Calling me a babe won't not win you points, you lewd woman. Cough. Anyways. Let's check our new stats and abilities.

Greater Holy Shield and Heal seem to be the leveled-up versions, Condensed Sword of Silver Light is phenomenal. It condensed the light to make it sharper and more durable, but the silver light portion is what matters. There's holy light, bronze light, silver light, and finally, golden light.

This severely increases the strength of my sword, coupled with my stronger body, because part of my dragon strength spilled over into my stats because of my new class. I should be much stronger now. Especially versus undead.

Dragons Blessing also increases my strength permanently while in my paladin form. Powerful Blood Enhancement will allow me to strengthen my blood if coupled with Ailine's blood strengthening. Maybe the backlash of my berserker strength won't be horrible. Blood absorption allows me to absorb blood from fallen enemies for minor stat increases.

"I got some food for us while you were evolving, Airi. Chow down and rest a little before we slaughter some poor, innocent creatures."

"Are you sure we won't be slaughtered?" She looked at me and laughed before finding her way into my lap. Her back pressing against my breasts. Luckily with my evolution, all the blood dissipated from my skin.

"And how, pray tell, am I supposed to eat with you in my lap?" A smile formed on my lips as I rested my chin on her shoulder. She liked that. I could tell.

"I'm sorry, but you lost your chance. If you want something to eat you can eat me." She laughed playfully forgetting or maybe not forgetting I was a vampire. She is lewd, so this might be her way of tempting me. But it worked.

Chomp. Suck. Or… not?

After transforming into a vampire, I bit into her neck, not for sustenance, as she was still slightly drained from earlier. Now that my evolution has healed me. I figured I should use blood transfusion to replace some of her lost blood. This surprised her.

"Ah!~ that feels weird. Are you transferring blood into me?"

I nodded awkwardly as I was still attached to her neck. No longer transfusing or sucking her blood. Only playfully biting for a while. I think this tough situation opened me up to her a little.

Added effect: both partners gain a 10% experience buff for two hours after intimate actions.

Seems biting her neck playfully was enough to activate it. I wonder if down the road doing more intimate things would result in better buffs. For now, break time was over and we needed to get ready to fight the final boss. If we get through this maybe I'll allow her to have her way with me. Just once.

"Let's go, Ailine. We've got a boss to defeat." She pouted. It's obvious what she wants. It's kinda cute. Maybe I'll tease her and lead her along a little more before granting her wish.

"Fine, but you'll make this up to me later. Like a date or something." She exclaimed tenaciously as if her life was on the line. She must really want that date.

"Sure, sure. Maybe if you outperform me in the next battle~"

"Oh? I'll make sure to accidentally help the enemy so I can swoop in and save you then." She said while giving me a devilish grin.

"Oh, you'll ride in on a horse and carry me in your arms like a maidenly princess? That moves my heart."

"Where the hell would I get a horse?"

Shrug. "Find one somehow. If I don't see you on a horse coming to save me like a knight from a novel, I won't allow you to taste my sweet nectar."

"That's so mean!" We continued to banter and joke until we arrived at the boss area.
