The rest of the day passed by in a flash.
Li Feng spent his time meditating, trying to pass this stage.
He could feel some headway, but no considerable change in the state.
When he left his room, though, he was still filled with energy.
Meditating and filling his body with Qi ensured that even after skipping a meal, he was ready to jump about.
He looked outside his residence to see that a lot of students were walking along the path in the middle, toward the pavilions where the elders taught the disciples.
"Master told me that I needed to learn more about the Cultivation World!" Li Feng suddenly remembered as he jumped out of the room, running after the disciples who were leaving.
Li Feng could see his fellow disciples, ones that joined with him, slowly split off into a separate direction than the rest.
It appeared as though the new disciples were headed to a different Pavilion.
Eventually, he stopped in front of a giant pavilion with a board in front.
"Truth Pavilion."
As he read this, Li Feng felt a rumble in his eyes. It was a feeling that he could not describe truly.
It felt like power, and yet something uncontrollable.
Shaking his head, he walked into the Pavilion calmly.
Inside, it was not as majestic as the gardens and the trees that decorated the Pavilion.
There was a stage where an old, wise looking man stood.
And in front of the old man were seats for disciples to fill.
Li Feng could see that almost everyone of the disciples here was new. Disciples who passed the trials yesterday.
But there were a few unrecognizable faces here. Faces that seemed older, and more experienced.
"Ahem!"
The chatter in the room died as the elder cleared his voice. He glanced at Li Feng's direction once, and everyone in the vicinity quickly scrambled, finding a seat.
"Good. I think that this must be everyone. I count all but two of the new ones." The elder spoke with a deep voice that was not loud, but certainly audible.
Li Feng didn't even have to look around to know which two the elder was talking about. He pushed those thoughts away and focused his gaze forward.
"Well then. While many feel like this one class is boring, and monotone, it is absolutely necessary. Necessary for all of you to understand the world that you are entering." He said as he walked around the stage, looking at each of the disciples.
"Some of you are here for a second time. I do not blame you. Maybe by listening to this boring lecture, you can gain some inspiration from somewhere, or remember something that you have forgotten." He smiled at some of the faces that Li Feng couldn't recognize.
"So then. Let us get started. The cultivation world." The elder sighed as looked at the walls beyond the disciples in front of him.
"It is important to understand the distinction between what you have heard, and what cultivation truly us.
Far too many believe that cultivation, and to attain immortality is to go against the heavens. However, that could not be far from the truth.
The righteous path of cultivation does nothing more than live up to the fate that the heavens have written for us.
When I, or anyone tell you that perhaps this realm is the limit that you can reach, remember that there is indeed, a limit that you could reach. That limit, is written in your fate. I am unable to read your fate, like everyone in the Mortal Realm here.
So never trust anyone when they say that you cannot reach your goal, for who knows? Maybe it is written in your fate." The elder chuckled.
Quickly, a hand shot up.
"You said that you cannot read our fate, elder. But what about those who can? How can you say that no one in the Mortal Realm can read our fate?" one of the older faces asked.
The elder smiled.
"Maybe there is. But that is highly unlikely. It has been a few decades since the Mortal Realm was left isolated from the other seven." The elder shook his head.
"And the only people that know how to read the fates, are the Immortal Fate Sect, in the Jade Immortal World.
But nevermind that. You do not need to know too much about these worlds. Unfortunately, you young ones will never be able to visit them." He sighed.
"But there is much to explore in our own realm. After all, there are Immortal Powers beyond our imagination. The Heavenly Academy, one of the most illustrious places of teaching in all seven realms.
And who can forget the legendary tales of the Black Dragon House? The cold and beautiful disciples of the Nine Ice Palace? The alchemists of Alchemy Peak? The royal sons and daughters of the Jianlong Kingdom?
The Mortal Realm has more than you can explore in one lifetime. That is, of course, unless you become an immortal."
Suddenly, the tone of the elder changed.
It turned serious, a sharp departure from his carefree attitude.
"The Seven Sword Sect, as in its name, teaches you to become an immortal by the way of the sword. To cut down your enemies swiftly, but righteously.
And it is important that we make the distinction now. The sect would rather cut down unnecessary weeds now than be a hinderance to society later." He sharply looked down at all the disciples in front of him.
"And now, we shall put that to the test."
