It took a week before I was able to get out of bed. The craps from my period were so bad that I couldn't function, let alone stand up and deal with the world. In fact, I didn't know what was worse: the cramps from being in heat or the cramps from not getting pregnant.
Didn't my body know that it should work with me instead of against me?
"How are you feeling?" asked Dominik as he put down his tablet and turned to give me his undivided attention. The guys had taken shifts so that I was never left alone, and today was Dominik's lucky day.
"Like I got chewed up by a wolf," I half smiled at him. My eyelids were heavy, and every muscle in my body hurt, but the sharp, stabbing pain of my uterus resetting itself was gone. Thank god for small favors and all that.
