They’re Back
Pounding on the door caused Alpha Walker to sit bolt upright in bed, disturbing his mate.
"Alpha Walker," grunted his Beta, pausing in the pounding. But when Alpha Walker didn't reply to him fast enough, the pounding resumed, much to the disgust of Alpha Walker's wife.
"It is too early in the morning to be dealing with this," murmured Alice as she pulled the covers up higher until only the top of her head could be seen outside of the blankets.
"It's 3 a.m.," answered Walker, picking up his phone and squinting at the time. The fact that he had more than 68 missed calls caused him to finally move.
"Like I said, too early in the morning. Deal with what needs to be done and then go back to sleep. You are too old for this."
