As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. Entering The Lion's Den

I looked around the neighborhood as dawn just started to break out over the horizon. Scarlet's footsteps were silent as she padded down the sidewalk, the two of us searching for the apartment Lily had spoken about.

I hadn't realized that my pack had done so much in such a short amount of time to help me. While Lucien was insisting that I nap to regain my energy for what was to come, Kristen, Lily, and Scarlet were frantically pulling things together.

Patting the panther's head, I pointed to the small building off to the right. It looked like a typical triplex that could be found anywhere in the human side of Lupin City, and what better place to blend in then right in the heart of it?

Scarlet shifted suddenly, catching me in her hand as I fell before she pulled a key out of her mouth and unlocked the front door. "Don't ask," she joked as she shut the security door behind us. "No pockets in my fur."
