Alessia

I never expected bridal shopping to be so much stressful. Hailey and Mom literally had to drag me when I told them I was done shopping. Incase you're wondering, I call Trevor's mother mom now.

We went for cake tasting, and the cakes were so yummy, I could have had it all if Trevor hadn't stopped me.

Now, I'm standing alone in front of Trevor's Limo, how rich is this guy? He told me he wanted to get something at some jewellery store whilst Hailey and mom went off to Victoria's secrets.

"I'm back" Trevor shouted.

I almost jumped out of her skin "Damn it Trevor! You scared me. Can we go wait in your car, my feet are killing me" I shouldn't have worn the five inches peep hole heels Hailey gifted me.

"Sure, let's go"

The same thing that happened with his valet in the morning happened again but this time it was his driver that opened both our doors. I gave him a small smile and entered the extravagant car likewise Trevor.

Trevor cleared his throat "You know we can't get engaged without a ring right" I turned sideways and looked at him perplexedly. I nodded my head to what he said. "good, I bought a ring. I don't know if you would like it but I hope you do" he said shyly. What's happening to Trevor, could he be sick?

"Are you okay? Should I call the doctor" I asked amusingly.

"Way to ruin the moment Alessia. Just give me your hand"

I placed my soft hand in his hard, strong, manly one, he brought out the engagement ring and inserted it in my ring finger.

I gasped "This is too much Trev, you shouldn't have bought something this expensive, after all it's not a real wedding. You could have gotten something lesser"

Honestly, that was the most beautiful ring I've seen in my entire life and the most amazing thing about it was that it was sitting on my finger.  It was everything I always imagined my engagement ring to be, simple and classy. You don't need to survey it before you know it's expensive though I'm not exactly hyper about that part.

"That's all it's been to you, a fake wedding" he hissed out, his demeanour changed.

"What the fuck crawled up his ass and died" i thought.

"Sorry, i meant a convenience wedding" maybe that's better.

"Of course, a convenience  wedding" he said with gritted teeth, making emphasis on 'convenience'.

"Seriously i don't know if you're bipolar or not, one minute ago you were fine and actually conversing with me and now, it's like you got a stick up your ass which by the way is causing misconception right now, I'd rather suggest you remove that stick."i exhaled harshly after having said what was on my mind and damn, it felt good.

"Hailey will ride with mom, I'll drop you at your apartment" he said, totally changing the subject.

That stick sure did a number on him.

....

"Hello" I said tiredly to the caller.

"The movers are at your door and my driver" A very familiar voice said curtly, hanging up after that.

What's his deal anyway? Ever since we left the mall, he's been more cold than ever to me, throughout the ride to my apartment- all he did was ignoring me, it was like i didn't even exist to him. When he dropped me off earlier today, not even a bye or see you later slipped from his mouth.

If he's gonna be hot for six hours and cold for the next eighteen hours, then how was I supposed to keep up with that if we were living together? He had better get his ass out of his head.

Slipping my robe on, I sluggishly moved my tired legs to the door, and by sluggish, i mean as slow as sloth from zootopia. I opened the door and my face came in view with a sharp, matured one. The man looked to be in his late 40s with broad shoulders, towering height, probably 6'1 feet tall, three inches shorter than Trevor. He still towered over me with my 5'6.

Why did i have to think of that asshole? My brain couldn't just get the point.

Focus Aless!

The man stared down at me, amusingly.  What i really noticed was that, instead of his scary bodyguard- like features to stand out but what did were his eyes. Warm and inviting, almost father-like.

"Hello" i greeted shyly, thinking he must have wondered why i was staring deeply at him.

"Good afternoon Miss-?" He paused, waiting for my name.

"Alessia. But call me Aless, no miss" I stated.

"I'm George, Mr Reynolds' driver, he sent me to come get you. Don't worry, the movers will bring your stuffs" he said, signalling his hand at a few guys in same tees. If he was Trevor's driver, why wasn't he with us? And again, he looked old enough to be his father, okay maybe not old enough but he comes close and let's not forget that he's not bad looking for a man such his age.

I wonder why he would work for the guy whose name is not to be mentioned, in fact i wonder why anyone in their right state of mind would.

The man stared again, as if waiting for me to say something. Shit! I must have looked stupid staring at nothing in particular but what he didn't know was that, i was having a thoughtful conversation with my brain. My cheeks flushed from embarrassment. "Sorry for that. Come on in, I'll go get dressed."

With that been said, i headed towards my bedroom.

I didn't have enough time to shower or doll up, well it's not like i want to try any effort for him, he's not worth it anyways. Something comfy will do.

I changed the robe i was wearing with a hoodie and sweatpants.  I stepped into my slide, walking towards my bedroom door, my eyes zoomed in on something. My key! My beautiful car key. I picked it up and shoved it into my purse.

I smiled mentally, i was done in record time. I looked and by looked, i really looked at the room that has been a home to me for the past two years, it might be small but it was my safe haven. After that, i made my way to the door, a new chapter of my life begins in a few hours and I'm not thrilled about it.

Maybe i am. But definitely not overly excited.
