[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
For a moment, Hearst, under the disguise of Ainz Arsalk, had finished washing the kitchenware and put them aside.
Then, she glanced behind her to see a familiar person she had met months ago.
Just by seeing him made her chest soften as she immediately smiled at him.
"Welcome back, Oscar. It's been a while, and you've grown, too." She spoke, this time with actual emotions compared to her monotonous one.
She sounded relieved, happy even. A light chuckle even exited her mouth.
" >:0 !?" Satoru almost took a step back in surprise, realizing that his drug that would actually make her possibly be unchained to Ehit had actually worked.
"I'm Satoru Mikami, not Oscar Orcus." He replied at her bluntly while shaking his head.
'Interesting...' He thought while narrowing his eyes suspiciously at Ainz who still had that smile plastered on her face. '... but still...'
"What's with the sudden change?"
"I don't know. Maybe trying to detach myself from Ehit made me develop these new feelings for the children in the Orphanage and.... you."
The [Liberator] became motes of light that merged with his newest coat. And right now, Satoru's posture became passive as he put his hands in his coat's pockets.
Because of his godly skill in manipulating mana, he activated his newest glasses which began to scan her entire body. It didn't matter if it showed what was behind her clothing and even her insides, he was now able to see them.
'It seems she has also grown a bit, too. And her anatomy is equal to that of a high-grade Homunculus. Oh well, all of the apostles have the same face, and her face really does seem familiar.' Satoru commented mentally, tapping his shoe on the floor.
Showing concern on the orphans, he frowned wanting to ask another question.
"Did you do anything to the orphans?"
She shook her head, before putting her hands below her abdomen, then glaring sternly to Satoru with a deadly smile.
"I took care of them after you left them alone here, you idiot. Although, you should thank me for being your substitute while I am off-duty. Thieves and kidnappers have been spotted all around this area and I have to personally eradicate the threats because of you."
Satoru immediately flinched, as if knowing he was responsible for what the orphans would have done while he was away.
He was still relieved that they were fine, but for now he still shouldn't put too much trust on the apostle in front of him.
Hopefully the orphans forgive him later at morning.
But now....
He swiftly turned Hearst's back towards him while she was caught off guard and swung his arm.
*snap!*
Hearst's butt was slapped. A moan came out of her mouth.
Normally, Apostles wouldn't react much to things like this, but due to having gained emotions, it had a certain effect on her
"Hehehehe.... now that's an interesting reaction. How'd my concoction fare? >=)" Satoru asked with a lightly mischievous tone just before he stood up proudly.
"I figured that since I have some things to do tomorrow, I'll be staying here in this Orphanage for a short while."
The reason he stayed here was so he could interact with the orphans for a while before he follows his plans to create an organization and a town at the same time while things are still pretty neutral between the humans and demons for now.
While he does, specific groups of students will clear both the Gruen Volcano and Miledi's Labyrinth.
Group 1: Led by Hajime, it's members are Kaori, Ryutaro, Endou, and all physical fighters with a few supports
They knew this Labyrinth didn't want them to use magic as it had an anomalous ability to disperse all magic. So they trusted Satoru on this matter.
Group 2: Led by Eri, and it's members were full of casters and supports, including Shimizu. They will be required to keep using ice magic to cool their bodies and equipment down and both Eri and Shimizu are required to use Dark Magic to keep their and their classmates' mental states stable.
But first, this group was tasked with interacting with the locals around the desert to gather information. Same goes to the first group but they would do those in reverse.
Afterwards they needed to return to Holward to report and do anything they like before further tasks will be given to them.
Anyway...
"I see, would you like to take a rest?"
Satoru nodded, knowing he just needed two hours of sleep and he's already well rested. But as if something came up to his mind, his gloveless hand grasped Hearst's own.
Feeling the warmth of his hand, the apostle could not even try to describe the feelings that began to grow up and up deep inside her. It's as if it was on those romance novels she "bought" on her break times.
Like a skillful seducer, Satoru leaned forward to give Hearst a kiss to the cheek which also took her off guard.
"Thanks again for taking care of the orphans." He spoke, before taking his time to walk towards the room he had just been at.
But before he could proceed, the apostle grabbed his shoulder, intent on telling him something important.
When Satoru looked back, he noticed that Hearst was looking both angry and worried, not towards him but towards somebody else.
"Oscar, free as many of my sisters from my creator's chains. You knew they looked like me, but I just don't want them to be his puppets. Not anymore. I beg you....."
Hearst, for the first time on her life, let out a tear. She was becoming more emotional now that she had been given free will.
Now..... what would Satoru decide?
Well, he smirked, pointing his thumb towards his face.
"Even if that means you will become Ehit's enemies and my servants because you decided to have them desert from him, fine. I'll break apart their chains, believe it!" He spoke with utter confidence, as after that, Hearst immediately hugged him tightly.
"Oh, and It's Satoru, not Oscar."
His smirk did not go away yet. Hearst was merely a part of his grand scheme to overthrow Ehit and free Tortus, gaining important pieces like her and her sisters was a huge step.
If this is Ehit's (rather massive) chessboard, and the people, all of them are his pieces, then what else would Satoru do?
Simply: lie, cheat, and steal.
He will definitely lie to anybody, not too frequently, to manipulate them.
He will cheat: In a way, having the knowledge and abilities of his past lives were one.
Steal: He's already stolen one of Ehit's "Queens", what good will stealing more of his pieces do? Conquering and willingly doing evil does that, too. Satoru was careful enough not to indulge in evil too much, though. That's bad enough.
The next day, when the orphans woke up, they soon found out that Satoru had returned home.
