Mysterious energy

300 years ago, Ares was a young man, but he was extraordinary for someone of his age.

He could rival The Ruler at his peak, but some believed Ares was better than The Ruler from watching all his battles against the demons, and there were many chances to see him in action.

Although people saw how he had helped them from demon attacks and cared for them, most people didn't care for Ares as a person.

Nobody really knew who Ares was, but nobody cared to find out. Then there was Mystic.

She never met Ares before, but she has seen him many times since he was one of the 11 Pinnacles.

The 11 Pinnacles are the heads of 11 families representing Greece, also referred to as the 11 Deities of Greece.

Each family has its own trait about them. For example, the family Zeus comes from has an ability called Atmokinesis, which allows them to manipulate the weather however they want.

So, again, 11 Pinnacles are chosen as heads of the family and now have special duties under The Ruler.

They have meetings about problems that occur in heaven and ways to fix them.

You could almost think of them as the government.

Mystic wasn't a part of the 11 Pinnacles, but since she was the daughter of The Ruler, Mystic was considered just as important, so she is allowed to attend the meets as well.

That's where Mystic first saw Ares. At the time, she didn't know much about him. She only knew that he was an extraordinarily strong god.

Although Ares was part of the 11 Pinnacles, he wasn't well respected among them. The cause of this was his family. Unlike everyone else in the 11 Pinnacles, the family Ares came from was poor, and when Ares got the position, he felt disdain in everyone's eyes.

Then, one day the 11 Pinnacles were in a meeting, but Ares wasn't there. So, Mystic decided to check on Ares.

"Where are you going?"

Zeus, who was also in the 11 Pinnacles, had always been obsessed with Mystic and had been trying to pursue her for a while. Even though she has rejected his advancements many times, he still won't give up.

"I'm going to check up on Ares."

"What? Why?!

"Would you relax? I had to do the same thing for everyone else, even you. I'm really getting tired of your complaining."

When Zeus heard that, he felt embarrassed and was speechless, so he ran away ashamed.

"I swear, that dude."

Before she left, Mystic put on a hat and some glasses, not wanting to be recognized.

As she walked to his house, Mystic thought about her previous encounters with Ares, but then she realized she hadn't spoken to him before.

( I wonder what he sounds like? I hope he's not another egotistical Idiot)

As Mystic thought about this, she walked right in front of a house.

Confused, She looked at the stack of paper in her arms.

( This is his house, right? )

The place seemed very old, almost like it could break from the slightest pressure.

Mystic walked up to the front door and tried to knock on it, but the door was already open.

Mystic walked inside the old house and called out for Ares.

"Hello, Ares, are you here?"

"...''

"..."

There was absolute silence for a moment. Then she called out to Ares again.

"Is anyone here?"

"..."

"...''

"...''

Once again, she was met with silence.

Convinced this wasn't Ares's house, she started walking out.

But as Mystic was walking, she was surprised by the sound of something falling in the back.

Curious to see what it was, Mystic put her stuff down on a nearby table and began looking around the house to see where the noise came from.

As Mystic was searching the house, she felt the magical energy of someone.

( I sense someone's presence, but their magical energy is low.)

Mystic followed the magical energy until she came across a closed door.

She hesitated for a moment before opening the door.

Mystic thought that this weak magical energy couldn't belong to Ares, but curiosity got the better of her, and she wanted to see who/what this magical energy was coming from.

As she opened the door, Mystic was stunned when she saw Ares passed out on the floor.
