Part 10 - Stone Wall

With everyone within the city hall celebrating progress day and Jayces latests invention, that all came to a close once there was an explosion near the capital. Enforcers all throughout Piltover began to investigate the scene. The exploded capital building, along with metal and rubble all over the ground thanks to Jinxs toys.

Once Jayce is there, he's shocked once he notices the painted monkey on the wall, just as Caitlyn told him. "Where's Caitlyn?" Jayce questions, while looking over towards Marcus direction.

Marcus shrugs his shoulders and clicks his teeth in response. "I'm not sure. Everyone of the guards here have unfortunately died, so there are no witnesses to know what happened, or who did this." Marcus responds, as Jayce turns in the direction of Cassandra, Caitlyns mom. She has an extremely worried expression on her face, which increases the level of sympathy that Jayce begins to feel.

Afterwards, he takes one last look at the painted monkey, while staring towards it in deep thought.

Meanwhile, Lucy manages to get across the bridge that connects Topside and the Undercity. Though she finds it very difficult, as she's carrying Caitlyn on her back.

In the shadows, and sitting on top of one of the buildings in the Undercity, there's a teenage guy staring down at Lucy and Caitlyn from above. As the man slowly stands up, revealing his face from the moonlight, it becomes clear that it's Silver watching Lucy. "Why are you bringing an enforcer here?" Silver questions with focus in his eyes.

"Who are you..?" Caitlyn questions Lucy, as she just starts to regain her consciousness.

Lucy turns her head slightly to look at Caitlyn. A smile of relief appears across her lips. "Can you walk?" Lucy asks.

Suddenly, from the corner of Silvers eye, he notices someone on top of a building, about five buildings across from him. His eyes widen once he notices the person wearing a mask, and holding what looks to be a bomb. All while they look down at Lucy and Caitlyn.

Silver clicks his teeth once he pieces together that Lucy is in danger. For that reason, he steps back towards the edge of the building. He proceeds to sprint towards the opposite edge, and jump to the other building. He continues to hurdle over pipes, slide through narrow spaces, and climb on top of other spaces.

Silver then checks to to his side, to see the position that Lucy and Caitlyn are. Once he realizes that Lucy and Caitlyn are getting closer and closer to this masked man.

With sneaky and quietness, Silver climbs up to the building that the masked man is on. He slowly creeps up behind him, while the man begins to aim the bomb in Lucys direction. Before he could hurt Lucy, Silver knocks him over the head, which knocks him unconscious.

Silver stares down at the man, with a shocked face that almost seems a bit disbelieved. With curiosity in his eyes, he leans down and pulls the mask off of the man.

Once he pulls the mask off, his heart drops, and his legs give out. "What? No.." Silver says with a shaky tone that's filled with confusion. He begins backing away from the unconscious man, with a face and eyes that grow to take the expression of someone who's seen a ghost. "How..?" Silver questions once more.

Instantly, he feels and hears the quick patter of footsteps approaching behind him. He turns around, to see another masked man running towards him with a steel pipe. This man had a mask that resembled an owl.

Silver quickly dodges the pipe, and rolls over to the side, before quickly standing up and facing the masked man. "Who are you? What do you want with Lucy?" Silver questions, while himself and the masked man circle eachother on top of the building. Only a few seconds after Silvers question, it begins to drizzle from the sky.

Because of the face that Silver saw earlier, he's finding it extremely hard to focus. Because of that, he occasionally glances towards the masked man that he previously knocked out. "And why do you have him..?" Silver questions while continuing to look down at the other masked man.

The Owl masked man stares at Silver in silence. "This is starting to get so aggravating.." The man with the owl mask says, in his distorted voice, as he stands still and looks at Silver. Swiftly, he grips the steel pipe, and charges towards Silver.

The pitter patter of the owl mans feet hitting the water on top of the building begins to approach Silver extremely quickly. Silver quickly dodges as many attacks that he can. Any attacks that Silver reciprocates, is also met with dodges.

"No..I'm going alone. This is no place for a regular civilian." Caitlyn says to Lucy, who's just below Silver and the Owl masked man.

Lucys face grows more hesitant, while the two look at eachother. "The girl who did it..the girl with the blue hair? I know her." Lucy admits, while looking at Caitlyn. "I'll tell you whatever you want to know, if you can promise me one thing, and also take me with you." Lucy adds.

Caitlyns face grows shocked, but also hopeful. "What's in it for you?" Caitlyn questions, and Lucys gives her a determined stare in return.

Meanwhile, Silver and the Owl masked man are still fighting. The steel pipe is no longer in the Owl masked mans procession, and the two are now out of breath. "Why don't you just tell me what you want with Lucy?" Silver asks the man infront of him with angered eyes, before the man slowly lowers his guard.

Silver watches him with confusion, before he quickly picks up on something. He picks up on the fact that the other masked person isn't on ground anymore. Silver quickly turns around, but by that point, it's too late. He's knocked in the face by the other masked man, which knocks him unconscious.

After knocking Silver out, the Owl masked man looks below the building where Lucy and Caitlyn just were. "They're gone." The Owl masked man acknowledges.

"Let's just take him and go. He'll be valuable enough for the time being atleast." The other masked man says. Moments later, the two masked people kidnap Silver, and ride off using their hoverboards.

Not too long after, the council members of Piltover have an emergency meeting. With council members Mel Medarda, Heimerdinger, Cassandra Kiramman, Hoskel, Bolbok, Shoola, Salo, and new member Jayce.

"This is the second attack, with someone leaving behind that monkey painting." Jayce acknowledges to the rest of the council, while they all sit at A gigantic round table.

"Not good. Aren't one of your gemstones stolen aswell Jayce? Anyone could've stolen them. Someone from the Undercity perhaps?" Heimerdinger claims, while looking over towards Jayce with disappointed eyes. Jayce lowers his head in return.

Mel quickly picks up on the atmosphere between Jayce and Heimerdinger. "For now, I think we should close off the bridge that connects the Topside with the Undercity. For the simple reason that it'll allow us to easier close in on who this threat is. If these attacks continue, then we'll know that it's someone from the Topside that's engaging in them."  Mel says to the rest of the council members.

"As long as those bastards don't interfere with trade. We need more security around the shipping lane." Hoskel argues with a self centered attitude.

"But what about Caitlyn? What if some criminal from the Undercity kidnapped her? If we close off the bridge, she won't be able to get home. That Undercity is no place for such a young lady." Cassandra says to the others, with her worried tone.

"Don't worry. She's a strong woman, plus the enforcers will know to look out for Caitlyn. For now, I agree with Mel. But I propose that we send Marcus, along with other enforcers to the Undercity first thing in the morning to search for Caitlyn, as well as the missing gemstone. Less skilled Enforcers will do the same here. In the wrong hands, it can spark a devastating catastrophe." Jayce proposes while looking at the others. While he proposed, Mel began to give him a proud smile.

"Is there a reason you want more skillful enforcers to search through the Undercity, as opposed to Topside?" Shoola questions Jayce.

Jayce nods his head in response. "The Undercity is responsible for a large portion of the crime that takes place in Piltover. I'm not one to illogically point fingers, but, I think it's more likely that it's someone from the Undercity that's doing this. And in the case that it isn't, there are still more dangerous people within the Undercity, than the Topside. Our soldiers are more likely to be attacked there." Jayce explains to the rest of the council members.

After Jayce's explanation, the Councils meeting room grows silent. Mels smile grows a bit more obvious as well, before she stands up, and looks at the other council members. "Does anyone oppose the plan?" Mel asks, and with no one opposing it, the plan starts to go in motion.

Enforcers begin to guard the bridge that connects Topside with the Undercity, as well as using fences and barriers to keep the people separated.

Now late in the middle of the night, Caitlyn and Lucy make their way to Still Water Hold, using a boat to cross to the dreadful prison.

Once the two arrive at Still Water Hold, it feels like the air around Lucy became heavier. The clouds seemed darker around the area, the sky seemed more foggy, and the only birds that habit the area are crows.

Caitlyn has a determined look, as she walks up to a guard at the front gate of the prison. "What business do you have here?" The guard questions.

"I'm an Enforcer." Caitlyn says, before showing the guard her badge. "I'm here to talk to a man. I'm not sure of his name, but he's big, with many tattoos. He just came here today." Caitlyn says to the guard.

After that, Caitlyn and Lucy enter A rusty elevator within the prison, and make their way down to the floor where an inmate is being held. "Unfortunately you can't talk to that inmate right now. Let's just say, he had trouble with another inmate." Those words from the guard ran circles in Caitlyns head as the elevator made it to the level the inmate was being held.

Caitlyn was informed that the imprisoned man was extremely beat up by another inmate. A fairly toned girl, with tattoos, and short red hair.

Caitlyn and Lucy walk past a few cells before marching towards the one with the inmate who beat up the man in it. Once they get to the cell, Lucys eyes begin to widen.

The red haired girl in the cell, hitting the stone walls with skillful attacks, reminds Lucy of someone that she remembers in her past. Because of this, Lucy slowly creeps up closer and closer to the cell, while Caitlyn watches her closely. "Vi..?" Lucy says with uncertainty.

Immediately, the red haired girl stops punching the walls. She slowly starts to turn around, and the two make eye contact with eachother. Vi and Lucy. Both of their eyes soften, as they look at eachother for the first time in years.
