Family Reunion

It had been several hours since the harrowing battle in the warehouse, an event that still had Peter on edge.

They had managed to secure a Hummer, a semblance of safety in case of an attack.

Peter finally blinked his eyes open, greeted by the morning sky. A day had passed since the events unfolded.

Asiris was at the wheel, and Micah gazed thoughtfully out of the window.

Oddly, the car carried a scent of lavender and gasoline, an unusual yet oddly comforting combination.

Peter was startled by Asiris's sudden question. "So, you're awake now?"

Stuttering from the abruptness, Peter replied, "Yes."

"Listen, I'm very sorry about you getting kidnapped," Asiris offered.

Peter was at a loss for words, replaying the events of the previous night in his mind.

"Why did you try to save us?" Peter inquired.

"Well, because you guys are important," Asiris replied.

Confused, Peter prompted Asiris to elaborate.

"You guys don't know, do you?"

Peter shook his head, not revealing their true identity.

Asiris continued, "Well, you guys are princes of Heatherland."

"Meaning?" Micah chimed in.

"Meaning that you guys possess a power that no one else can wield. You have the potential to end this war once and for all."

"What war?" Peter asked.

"A war for Earth."

"So, between galaxies?"

"No, not exactly—but you guys are being pursued by the Ikes."

"Who are the Ikes?"

"The Ikes are our enemies, aiming to capture the Heather Eye, and exploit that power to dominate us and gain unlimited power."

"So, why did they come for us?"

"Because only the King's family can hold the orb. No one else can unless they kill you."

Peter, now engrossed, posed another question. "But how did the war start?"

"Well, decades ago, we and a group of kingdoms were welcomed into Top-Earth by the top-earthlings to stop a kingdom that wanted to annihilate us all. The Ikes were also part of this welcoming. When they saw the prosperity of the main part of Earth, they desired control over it."

"And what happened next?"

"We defeated them and kept an orb that bestowed us with power over the Ikes. But now, I think they're attempting to steal it."

"And if they succeed?"

"Expect to find yourself imprisoned forever."

Micah nearly choked at the thought.

Asiris went on, "This is why we need to train you to fight, so you can harness the power effortlessly and defeat them once and for all."

"I didn't know that," Peter admitted. "Who is supposed to harness this power?"

Without a word, Asiris looked at Micah, who suddenly felt a heavy weight on his shoulders.

"He's been having the visions?" "Micah."

"Then he's the one."

"What?"

"Yes," Asiris confirmed, looking at Micah. "He has to be the one to save us—but you never know."

Micah started to breathe heavily, struggling to comprehend what had just been said.

He was the one?

He could only operate a jetski and a car.

He couldn't save the world from anything!

Micah slumped back in his seat, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Asiris nodded.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but it needs to happen. Plus, we have arrived at the kingdom."

"Kingdom?"

Peter and Micah quickly peered out the window, spotting a grand castle ahead.

"Now, take this all in, for this will remain if you win the war."

The vehicle came to a halt, and two heathers rushed to open the doors.

A broad road filled with people gasping for breath lay before them.

Until one person shouted, "It's him!"

Soon, the crowd erupted into cheers and dance as the Hummer passed through.

Peter gazed at the smiling and cheering faces, waving shyly.

"Wow, this is...different."

"You can say that again," Micah praised, rapidly waving his hand.

They were starting to fade from view as they reached the next gate.

This gate was packed with heathers, leading the car to its designated position.

Finally, the car stopped, electronically opening the doors for them to disembark.

In amazement, Peter muttered, "Cool."

The two boys quickly stepped out of the car, their eyes falling on a man with a crown.

He had an orange beard and very orange hair, and wore a large purple robe adorned with jewels. Accompanying him was a woman of around forty, with pale skin and white hair, dressed in a sparkling blue gown, her smile comforting.

They were also accompanied by a man who resembled Asiris, but donned a blue suit adorned with numerous buttons and a scar running from his ear to his neck.

"So these are my sons?" the man asked, wearing a warm smile.

"Yes, your Heatherness," Asiris responded, bowing respectfully.

He scrutinized them for a moment, then smiled. "These are my sons."
