Day Ten: Accompany

As John was unconscious on the ground, a small creature suddenly emerged from a hole on the foot of the wall near John. It was the potus rabbit that John carried.

It looked around before approaching John's unconscious but breathing body, it sniffed him before hopping around him, It was checking John's condition.

The face of the rabbit grimaced as it saw the injuries and blood pouring out from him.

It immediately judges that John wouldn't last another moment as it quickly hops away from him, it quickly looked around itself whenever it landed and continued the process until it saw something, it was a mugu herb, it was trying to find a first-aid cure for John's wounds.

It immediately bit the mugu herb it saw and move to another mugu herb, after collecting the mugu herbs it chewed the leaves of the herb as it returned to John's side.

The moment it returned it immediately spat the mugu herb leaves at John's wounds, starting from his shoulders to his thigh, to his chest, and next to the other wounds.

The wound on his back was also spat on, and John's left arm was the last as it was no longer bleeding due to the burn and the potus rabbit looked around and saw a rock, it quickly hopped to it and picked it up, and return to John once again.

The potus rabbit placed the rock on the ground and put the mugu stem on top of it, then it adds mugu leaves to it.

The potus rabbit took off once again and look for another rock, thankfully there was another rock nearby, it picked it and used it as pastel as it pounds it to the combine mugu leave and stem. After a few minutes of pounding green liquid was extracted from it.

The potus rabbit collected the liquid using its mouth and gargle it as if it was mixing the liquid, then a few seconds later it spat the liquid to John's left arm, the once green liquid was now turned violet as it covered the burnt arm of John, then it uses its fluffy hand to lightly spread the liquid.

The potus rabbit waited after doing first aid, and an hour later John's wound was starting to close, the bleeding on his wounds have already stopped minutes ago and his burnt left arm is gradually regaining their natural color, it was the effect of the mugu herb mix with the essence of a potus rabbit that is boasted for having mana higher than average humans.

As John's condition gradually became better, the potus rabbit decided to drag him to a more covered place. The rabbit bit the collar of his shirt and drag him slowly, John was bigger than the rabbit having a height of 178cm and the rabbit was only about 6 inches in height, but the tenacity of the little creature was higher than a normal one and was able to drag John to a safe place.

The rabbit flop down due to exhaustion after dragging John's body to its nest.

A potus rabbit does not live in a hole instead they create their own nest using leaves, branches, and other parts of the forest as their materials.

The nest of the potus rabbit that dragged John's body was on the ground not like its other kin which was on either a branch of a Sagra tree or on top of a potus tree, but its nest was the most hidden one among them and it was also the most protected one as it was covered in strong natural mana.

John's body was half inside the small nest but his body became better faster due to the mana filling the surrounding it boosted the effects of the mugu herbs healing effect.

A few days past and John's condition return to normal, or rather his condition was even better compared to the time he first arrived, his natural healing ability was boosted due to the natural mana and due to the drop in health, strength, stamina, and other stats during the battle, they were all raised by 5 stats each.

On the sixth day of John's recovery as the potus rabbit was eating in its nest and waiting for his recovery, the potus rabbit went outside, it was looking for foods that would help the injured person in its nest recovered faster.

As it was looking around, he saw other potus rabbits a few meters away from itself. The other potus rabbit saw him and immediately hopped away from where they were. The potus rabbit's mood became gloomy as it continued to look around.

A few hours passed and the potus rabbit was able to collect different herbs and fruit from the area, he went back and forth a few times, due to having short arms and only a small mouth to hold them.

On the ninth day of John's recovery, all of his wounds are now closed, the only thing left is for John to regain consciousness.

Many will question why a potus rabbit was able to take care of a human better than humans themselves?

The answer to it was the Unique Characteristics of the potus rabbit that was taking care of John, it is the smartest potus rabbit that existed in the forest of Seira, though all potus rabbits in Ashura were all smart, this specific one was different.

It has the blood of a Potus Rabbit which is considered the third smartest rabbits in Ashura and a Little One, which was the smartest rabbit in Ashura despite being only 6 inches in size they built their nest in trees, and they can communicate with humans and other species when taught their language, though they only live in the elven territories, some of them were being captured along with elves as a material to sell as slaves and use as experiment subjects.

The potus rabbit accompanying John was one of the results of a bio-engineered test from a Laboratory from another kingdom.

It was able to escape due to its Intelligence and the help of the other potus rabbits and little ones that were the same experimental subject as it.

It traveled through the vast area of the kingdom it was from, hid when alarmed, and learned different races aside from humans, it also learned some words, terms, about items and other things, but it forgot some of it as it traveled and eventually reached the Forest of Seira.

It encountered the Potus rabbits and was delighted to see another of its kind. The potus rabbit genes on it were more dominant that is why it was still called a potus rabbit despite having both the blood of the potus rabbit and the little one.

The other potus rabbits were not weary at the appearance of an unfamiliar potus rabbit, they accepted it, and only after a few days of it living with them were they able to realize it, the newcomer was different than them that made them uncomfortable, it made a nest on the ground and it also eats night berries and mogu herbs aside from potus fruits.

The other potus rabbits decided to distance themselves from the newcomer. Their treatment towards it only worsen as it tried to confront a predator from the seira forest to save a young potus rabbit, it was able to hurt the predator that made the predator itself angry and in the end, the newcomer wasn't able to save the young potus rabbit and a lot of other potus rabbit was killed and it was also badly injured, the other potus rabbits decided that they didn't want to get anything to do with it anymore and condemned it.

A few years passed and the newcomer was now more accustomed to the forest, despite living all alone and only having interactions with other monsters aside from the potus rabbits, it was able to live, though its intellect degrades it was still smarter than a potus rabbit.

The newcomer was now a monster that many predators should be wary of, as it was able to learn the different hunting ways of its predator, and was able to escape a few of the senses of its predator, it was its act of not moving, not breathing and lowering its presence, to the lowest.

But, its technique was seen through by a predator it encountered, it was a human male, the human doesn't look strong and smart at first look but the potus rabbit was able to gauge the human's character.

The human was a loser just like it in the potus rabbit community, the human also has some wits to him as it continued to improved its trap to catch it, the human was also determined as it waited for its strike every time, but most importantly the human was kind, he saved it from a disaster that it couldn't escape, despite being battered up, the human continued to fight for his survival.

The potus rabbit saw it all from the beginning of the creation of his trap to the fight with the night wolves, it was reminded of its past self and decided that he wouldn't treat the human the same way it was treated by its kind.

It was a big misunderstanding, but also a fated one that helped John throughout his whole journey in Ashura.
