Day Nineteen: The Girl, The Boy and The Fur? (2)

「Boy: Oi, rabbit」the boy called out.

「Boy: Give her some food」he said as he looked at the rabbit.

The rabbit then looked at the girl who's pointing her sword towards the nonchalantly eating boy. Before hopping towards the boy.

「Rabbit: Which?」it asked.

「Boy: Give her some of this potus fruits And... some of this fish」he said as he gives the rabbit four sticks with fish pierced through it, and two potus fruits.

The rabbit immediately hopped back to the girl's side as it offered the foods it was holding using its front legs.

「Boy: If you want more, just say it, I've cooked plenty of fish today」he said.

The girl looked at the boy then shifted her gaze towards the rabbit at her side, it was offering her food.

The girl couldn't hide her amazement at the rabbit, her electric blue eyes that were emanating furry earlier was now gone as she looked at the rabbit.

She felt like the sense of camaraderie at the rabbit, like the rabbit was also a slave. The girl then looked at the bot with anger as she thought of it, and as if reading her thoughts he spoke.

「Boy: Just so you know, he's ain't my slave.」he said.

The girl was surprised at the boy's words, she didn't expect the boy to know what her thoughts are, without him even looking at her. It was like he can read minds.

「Boy: haa...」The boy sigh.

「Boy: Your expression shows it all, I couldn't read minds you know, if I could, It would have been easier talking to that rabbit」he said, as he looked at the girl.

「Boy: You might be able to hide those emotions from others, but it would not work on me or that rabbit, It's plainly obvious」He said, his eyes were serious as he looked at her, before turning his gaze back to the fire.

「Girl: ...」the girl was silent as she heard those words. She shifted her gaze from the boy to the rabbit at her side.

「Rabbit: Obvious」the rabbit spoke as it nods its small head.

「Boy: Glaring at me from that whole time showed every emotion you were hiding, I could clearly see them, those fear, pain, longing, sadness...」 He said.

「Boy: Plus those wounds, it's painfully obvious. It was hard, wasn't it?」he spoke as he fiddle with the firewoods.

The girl frowned her brows as she heard those words, she wanted to scream at him, she wanted to say "What do you even know?!" but she couldn't, as she hung her head low. Not because her voice wouldn't come out, it is a reason, but not the whole reason.

The girl didn't know herself, why she couldn't, was she trying to be nice because they healed her? No. She wouldn't, she couldn't trust them. Was it because of the cute rabbit at her side offering the food to her? No. Even if it was a baby, she wouldn't change her trust. Everyone in the world, aside from herself and her family was her enemy, that's her conviction.

Then why? Why couldn't she look at him? Why couldn't she lift her head and glared back at him? The girl herself didn't know why, as she keeps her head hung low.

The rabbit with worry plastered to its face looked at the girl, then it picked up a stone at the ground, before throwing it, and a second later a pained voice came back.

「Boy: Ouch! what was that for?」the boy asked.

The girl lifted her head as she looked at the rabbit than to the boy who was looking at the rabbit, then she looked at the rabbit again.

The rabbit then signaled to throw another rock towards the boy. The boy immediately understood its intent as he apologized.

「Boy: Sorry, that was insensitive of me」the boy spoke, his words were filled with sincerity as he spoke.

The girl's eyes widened as she heard those words, was it because it was her first time hearing those words? No, it isn't, she heard them before, she definitely did, almost every time she switched owners she would hear those words.

But the boy's apology was different and the girl couldn't know why. The word 'sincerity' does not exist for her. All she knew were traitorous words.

「Rabbit: Girl. Okay?」The rabbit spoke as it looked at the girl.

The girl unconsciously put her hands at the rabbit's head as she patted it. And moments later she realized it and quickly retracted her hands from the rabbit's head.

The rabbit then looked at her, its eyes were filled with worry as it offered up a potus fruit.

「Rabbit: You. Eat. Healthy.」the rabbit spoke.

「Boy: Don't worry, that rabbit's a good guy, so he wouldn't kill his patient or do anything bad at them, also I wouldn't do anything to you. I never did. Despite you sleeping for a week and a half, I never laid my hands on you... Well, I did sometimes fixed that black felt position whenever you move, you were showing a lot you see...」he said, as he lightly scratches his cheek.

As the girl heard those words, her eyes widened and immediately covered her naked body securely with the black felt, then she looked at the boy her eyes glaring at him.

「Boy: I told you, I didn't lay a hand on you, I didn't even look even if It was tempting to」he muttered.

「Boy: I wouldn't lay a hand on someone, who's not going to be my wife」he said in a serious tone.

The girl was stunned at the boy's answer, but she didn't believe him, she knew that no such man exists except for her caring father, she knew that no man could keep their lust in check infront of their prey.

That's why she believed that the boy infront of her, already laid his hands on her when she was unconscious, she believed that she was once again stained by another person's smell and essence, as she made a disgusted expression.

The girl, gritted her teeth as she rubbed the black felt to her skin as if trying to remove something, her expression showed irritation.

「Boy: haa...」The boy sighed as he watched the girl. His face shows neither pity nor anger, but disgust. He was disgusted not by the girl but by the people who made her like that.

The type of person he hated the most, were those people who used others for their own convenience. He himself was included in those kinds of people, he dislikes himself, for using others. But he loathes those who use others the way they used the girl infront of him.

That's why he decided to open his mouth, he needed to clarify it to the girl infront of him.

「Boy: Hey」he called out, but the girl didn't listen as she continued rubbing the felt to her skin, she was strongly rubbing it and her pearl-like skin started to redden.

「Boy: I didn't do anything to you」he said.

「Boy: You might not believe it, but it's the truth」he spoke, the tone of his voice became serious.

「Girl: ...」the girl shook her head as she continues rubbing the felt to every part of her skin. She didn't believe him, she only believed that he was lying.

「Boy: So, stop doing that... you would only hurt yourself...」he said, as his voice started to lower until it became a whisper.

The boy just watched the girl, her pearl-like skin was turning red, and her expression didn't change, it showed, disgust, anger, and pain. But no tears could be seen.

She continued rubbing her skin, without stop.

The rabbit became anxious as it looked at the boy and the girl, it wanted to stop the girl, but it couldn't do anything. It wanted the boy to do something, but it knew something was swelling deep inside of the boy, it knew if it talks now, it might be swallowed up by the torrent that would come.

So the rabbit just quietly closes its big blue eyes, as if praying for something to happen. And as if someone heard its prayer, A loud explosion was heard.

BOOM!

The rabbit immediately shot opened its eyes it looked at the direction the explosion came from and saw the boy standing outside the entrance of the cave.

Then it looked at the girl, the girl was also looking at the boy at the entrance, she stopped the rubbing of the felt to her skin as soon as she was awakened by the explosion.

「Rabbit: What. happened?」the rabbit spoke as it looked at the boy who was raising his left arm. And as he punched the ground, another explosion was heard.
