Day Four: The Beginning
John Entered the portal that Regarde created, he walked through the white corridor.
He nonchalantly walks through it and found the exit, a few meters ahead. John didn't rush it and just walked as he thought of things that would be outside the portal.
'Maybe I will be sent to the castle where Alex and the others are...' he thought but immediately disregard it.
'No, my mission is to observe the heroes, not just Alex and my classmates, but as Regarde said I would be transported to the Memphis Kingdom where Alex and the others were summoned, I just didn't know which part of the kingdom...' as John contemplates with his own thoughts he reached the exit. He stood still in front of it.
'I don't know what would be outside this portal, it might be a dungeon, a mountain, a monster lair, I might be underwater..., I might be in a forest or a vast space of wilderness, it could also be a town, a city or a village...'
Hoo... Haa...
John took deep breaths and as he calmed his mind, then he stepped out of the portal.
John was blinded by the light of the sun for a few seconds then his eyes gradually adjusted to the light.
As he opened his eyes he saw three suns in the blue sky. 'it truly is another world... there are three suns yet it's not hot... The warmth of the sun is just right'
After he looked at the sky he saw the place where he was in 'So... It's a forest, but there are so few trees around here...'
John looked around the area, he saw a river that vigorously splashes water, a bed of flowers with different colors, a few rabbits running around it's like they didn't notice him, other animals that can be seen from earth was also present around the area.
John was amazed by the bountiful sight of the forest, he wants to stay but decided to move. When he was about to take another step, loud alarms were continuously directed to his brain.
Out of pain from the loud alarms, John covered his ears and curled up, he didn't know that it's directly sent to his brain.
A few seconds pass and the alarm went off. John slowly opened his eyes saw multiple screens in front of him. Different words were written but all of them have the same 'Announcement' as a title.
He looked at the holographic-like screen. And read the 'Announcement'

"So many skills... I could be an all-rounder, though they are all still LVL 1, it would be helpful, especially the weapon mastery and magic mastery, the production skills set, would help me here. The 'Enhanced Discerning Eyes' seemed to have acquired the ability of both 'Identity' and 'Knowledgeable Eyes', I'll try it"
John decided to try the skills he got, he first uses the skill 'Enhanced Discerning Eyes'.
"Enhanced Discerning Eyes!" he shouted, then immediately after he used the skill a 'Notification' window showed up, "It worked... But, It's embarrassing...!" John placed his hands to his face as he curled up and rolled on the ground from embarrassment.
"Haa..., thank goodness I'm just alone with some animals" John didn't know it, but the animals around him are all considered Intelligent monsters. He didn't know that those animals are laughing at him.
As John lies on the ground he thought of ways to use his acquired skills efficiently. He didn't want to shout those skills name ever again.
After a few minutes of lying down, he stood up again and try the only thing he thought about was the most efficient.
"I'll try saying it in my mind..." John thought of the skill he wants to use and looked at the grass near him then he shouted the skill in his own mind.
Right after his silent shout, he heard an alarm directed to his brain. Then a 'Notification' window showed up.

-Mugu Herb-
A type of herb used for medicine.
"hmmm... That's all? This skill was enhanced right?" John Wondered as the only thing he saw on the window is a basic type of explanation.
Then he remembered the words of Regarde about the Fauna and Flora learning skills.
'If you see a monster you don't know anything about, think in your mind the characteristics of it and the Fauna Learning skill will give you information about it, the same goes for flora skills, both skills will give information on the weaknesses and easy way to deal with the said flora or fauna'
"I need to Characterized it first... Useless enhancement" John grumble as he sat down and looks at the mugu herb before pulling it out.
'It has round leaves, the roots are small and does not have many veins that's why it's easy to pull out, The stem is like a jelly...!' as John continued to characterize the herb the 'Notification' window suddenly showed up.

-Mugu Herb- <Attention is Needed>
A type of herb used for medicine, its small roots are used for creating small potions that remove paralysis. The jelly-like stem of this herb is used for creating small potions that give 100 HP per bottle, and the leaves of this herb can be physically applied to wounds.
"... A POTION HERB!!!" John was excited at what he saw, it's a herb that can be used without any waste.
"but the word 'Attention is Needed' bothers me... Does it say attention is needed because it has special effects? Or was it because of something else..." John wondered and eventually decides to shrug his shoulders to it.
"I'll find out eventually..."
John Immediately shouted in his mind his next useful skill the 'Dimension Storage'.
As he shouted inwardly the skill, a new window pop's up in front of him.
[Storage]
John was confused as he saw the window. "wait... Is this how the dimension storage looks like?" he questioned.
Then he suddenly thought of the word 'Close' and all the windows around him disappeared.
"...so I can close the windows, just by thinking close?" John tried to experiment and thought of his skill 'Dimension Storage'.
[Storage]
The same window showed up.
John was convinced that this is how the dimension storage looks like, he didn't know that every dimension storage differs per person.
Then he thought of ways to close it... Aside from thinking 'close', and he came up with hand movements.
He swiped to the left, right, and every direction he could think of but the window didn't disappear.
"hmm... So I could only either say or think of the word 'close' to make the windows disappear... It would be troublesome..." John grumbled.
John stood up from where he was sitting and looked around. He saw different herbs and materials that he could use.
"Okay!, for now, I'll collect some materials" John put his hand that was holding the mugu herb to the Storage window without hesitation and took it out.
[Storage]
~ x1 Mugu herb.
"Yosh!" John made a fist and started running to the materials, he pulled out herbs after using 'Enhanced Discerning Eyes' and put it inside the storage, the same happened on the materials he saw lying around.
John continued running around the area he was in, and without him knowing time passes and night came.
