The sun rose, and it had that beautiful ring to it. Sorata, who was an early riser, awoke at 4:30 a.m., when the sun was still below the horizon and about to rise.
However, the night's darkness was already dissipating as the sky took on a brilliant silver sheen.
"Should I go and have a run around the town for the starter? After that, I will decide how I should start this life."
Sorata passed out during a conversation with Misaki yesterday because he was too exhausted to even eat dinner.
However, a man by the name of Jin helped him with the food.
Once Sorata had finished cooking dinner, he simply exited the room and requested that Misaki wake up before he came back from the restroom.
"She sure is a crazy person, but still a kind-hearted senior." Sorata exited his room to discover that it was silent throughout the entire dorm except for one person who was going back to his room.
"Good morning, senior!"
Sorata's voice caught Ryuunosuke off guard, and he turned to face the new resident of their Sakura Dormitory even though he had not anticipated anyone being awake at this time.
"Good morning, Sorata, is it right?" Even though she was wearing headphones to maintain silence, Misaki's voice was loud enough to call out Sorata's name to her even though she was still in his room.
"Yes! Then please continue what you want to do, and I will be going out for a jog, so I hope you will take care of me too for the time being."
Sorata left the dormitory gate after exchanging a few polite words, and Ryuunosuke grinned as she noticed how unique the new kohai was compared to the majority of people she had previously encountered.
"Good morning!" Sorata was out jogging when he ran into some elderly people who were opening a shop.
He bought a few things from them and, out of kindness, helped a few of them as well.
After all, the majority of them were only a few simple tasks, such as returning the polybag to the disposal area and so forth.
Additionally, carrying those bags while jogging was a more efficient form of exercise.
Not to say, people in this anime world were really kind, as they spared some juice for him, who was tired after running to the park.
Since the world he was living in was already unkind, he would have been accused of being a hypocrite or a pushover if he had agreed to help others.
"People are not born with kindness."
"It is something one acquires in their life and continues to grow with the person and his experience. So, have a heart to accept other kindness and do not reject or label it as hypocrisy."
One of the things his former self liked was a quote from the anime "Fruit Basket," which was not exactly the same but was similar.
"Sorata-Kun..." When Sorata was returning to Sakura Dormitory, Nanami Aoyama could be heard calling him from the side. She was dressed in a working outfit for some sort of side job that she must have discovered.
"Aoyama, you are up for a part-time job. But take care of your health too, given that health comes before anything, alright?"
When Aoyama overheard Sorata speaking in that manner, she forced a smile because she thought Sorata's presence was more akin to that of an elder. However, these new changes were also positive because Aoyama thought Sorata was beginning to look more confident than before.
"Yeah, I know that well, so what were you doing so early in the morning?"
"Just some fitness jogging and workup for a healthy body, but are you sure that you will be fine going this early to a job alone? If not, please allow me to escort you."
As Aoyama watched Sorata act like a knight, she began to laugh out loud at his strange tone, and she looked at him with a tear forming in her eye.
"Okay, then please escort me to the shop; I will treat you something in return." She nodded even though she was a little scared because it was one of the essential jobs in her line of work.
"Then they will be wasted like this, so why not let me treat you, and you can treat me in school later on?" When Sorata showed Aoyama the bread and other items he had received in exchange for his assistance, Aoyama finally agreed because she did not want to throw away all of that delicious-looking bread.
"Okay!!!"
"Hehe! You have a sweet tooth, right?"
"Hah! Just shut up, idiot."
Entering his room after the bath, Sorata changed into the school dress code and found Misaki running around early in the morning.
"Sorata, help me cook food; I am really hungry and can't cook myself." Before he could back the bag, Misaki barged inside again and climbed on his shoulder while holding his neck between the legs.
"Misaki senpai, I am also a guy, so don't do stunts like these; it is really tempting. Or do you want me to attack and take your first, or something? I am sure Jin-San will kill me. So, please allow this junior to live more."
"Haha! What a lecherous Kohai you are! But I am not coming down until you agree to cook for me, given that Jin is out and I can't cook myself."
"You do not have the right to call me Lecher!!! alright, plus I will be cooking for you now, so please get down from my shoulder."
"Oh, shut-up!!! I am having my beauty sleep, and both of you are annoying, so go out at once or be quiet for now. My goodness, having one monster was not enough; another one who can wake up at 5 a.m. has also joined the rank."
Silence!!!
Bam!!! Dugong!!
Keyah!!!
Meowwww!!!
And such is how the morning in the Sakura Dormitory usually starts!
