While still trying to tame the tyrant He was able to survive not dying by the tyrant's hands but that was only because he had a special gift that was able to nullify the demonic powers that he possessed and also, be the only one to tackle him down. As well as his inability to die... Thanks to the god that was connected to him. 1, Not die.. check! Not knowing why he was in this new world where everything was strange, Yeon Jin found comfort in staring at t the face that reminded him of his lover but unfortunately, his personality was crap. But... He learned to cope with it. 2, Tame the tyrant... Check! Just when he was adapting to this new world, and was gradually falling in love with the tyrant prince, while continuously maxing it as his affection for the face since it belonged to his lover, he came to realize that he hadn't transmigrated anywhere, rather, he was living the first of the last three lifetimes where his death were beyond tragic among the hundreds of loves he and his lover had lived together and this... It was a simple repetition which meant all that was happening were real and this man, the tyrant prince whom he was trying hard not to fall for, was his lover in this lifetime. 3, Find a way to return home... Pending! How exactly was he going to cope with this new information when he was halfway across the empire with no way to communicate with the tyrant prince? How exactly was he going to sink in the fact that in this life, one of them was going to die all over again and then repeat the same in the next two that were to come? He felt he would run mad and in all this, wondered, "What exactly was it that brought us this tragic fate?" ********* NOTE: Aside from their tragic love story of different lifetimes, the contents of this book aren't entirely sad and filled with tears and bloodshed. There are a lot of comical/funny events that will lighten your heart in preparation for the tragedy to come.

He doesn't want to get treated

Stein hurried a maid to get a doctor while he anxiously watched Yeon jin's nose bleed. Why was he anxious? He couldn't tell but he felt like if Yeon Jin were to die from poison then everyone in the palace was a dead man till the culprit was found.

"I didn't tell you to take my plate." Beric said to Yeon Jin in a calm tone.

He looked like he was unaffected by the current situation. Expected! He dipped his elbow on the table and rested his chin on his palm. Then he said,

"You did this to yourself."

Yeon Jin, from shock, glared angrily at Beric.

"Thanks for the notice." He said and blood suddenly splattered out from his mouth. He grabbed his chest as he coughed. The pain was too much. He felt his insides burning and looked up.

The unmoving expression Beric held up made him feel a bit hurt, aside from the pain of the poison. It was like Daniel was watching him suffer and not give a damn.

"Don't look at me with that face." Yeon Jin said, throwing his face away.

"Because I look like 'Daniel'?" Yeon Jin looked up at him. His eyes were glazed as he stared at him like he was a lame piece in an art museum. "I couldn't inflict this much damage to you." He said. "It's surprising how a single piece of meat brought you down. And you did it to yourself."

"Who's to say mine wasn't poisoned as well? For all I know..." He paused and stared in silence.

The food was poisoned from the start and he knew it but he didn't bother to stop him. He knew it was poisoned. So this was his way of getting revenge? He was so childish.

Then something strange happened. The pain quickly subsided. Though it was strange, he found it in his own favor.

"Sorry to burst your bubble but..." He straightened his back and smirked. "I'm not dying anytime soon."

Beric observed him. For someone who ingested poison, he was holding up quite well. He frowned.

"You... What are you?"

Yeon Jin could only widen his smirk. This wasn't the first time he was asking this question and this time, he was going to keep him silent.

Strangely, Yeon Jin felt pain at the beginning when the poison started taking effect. It was like his insides were catching fire and his organs were melting but it immediately disappeared and all he could feel was murky inside, resulting in the blood that poured out of his mouth.

If he didn't know any better, he'd think that his body had some sort of healing power so the poison was immediately nullified as soon as it started taking effect.

Hm, this body once belonged to a close disciple of the Pope so it was possible that...

The doctor rushed in and attended to Yeon Jin. He checked Yeon Jin's pulse and confused as he was, he kept looking at his face, the blood on his body and the meal in front of him.

"What's wrong?" Stein asked and the doctor began to shake. The results didn't make sense.

"Have you lost your tongue?" Beric asked and the doctor immediately found his way to the ground, burying his head to the ground.

"Please, spare my life." He pleaded as his entire body shook in fear.

"Stop being dramatic and say what's wrong with him." Stein said but the doctor kept shaking.

Yeon Jin somewhat knew what the doctor discovered for him to feel so scared. The poison was really gone.

He sighed and took the napkin from the table. He cleaned his mouth, dropped it and said,

"It's alright. You can leave now." He said, shocking them.

"What do you mean by that? Do you want to die?" Stein asked.

"He doesn't want to get treated. Leave." Beric repeated for him and though they were confused why, the doctor was safely escorted out of there.

"I'll need to take a bath a second time." Yeon Jin muttered and got up. "Enjoy your meal."

Beric and Stein watched as he walked away like there was nothing wrong with him and as soon as he was out of sight, Stein turned to Beric, wondering what was going on in his mind.

"Have you found anything about him?" Beric asked.

"I'm getting the report tonight."

Yeon Jin found his way to his room, quickly took off his shirt and washed his mouth and face. The feeling of getting poisoned was excruciatingly painful but he managed to hold on.

Luckily, the pain disappeared on time, and he spoke up to leave it be if not, maybe that doctor would've died.

He sighed.

"What a mess?!" He exclaimed.

His blindfold didn't get stained by the blood so he kept it on. He was getting used to it. In the modern world, he found comfort wearing shades but since he didn't have any shades here... He shook his head and turned around, only to see Beric standing like a statue at the door. He frowned on displeasure.

'What is he doing here?'

Yeon Jin decided to ignore him but the moment he looked away from him, intending to head to his bed, Beric had already gotten to where he was and violently grabbed his wrist.

"You used Holy power, didn't you?" He asked, glaring angrily at him.

"What?"

"Did you plan to fool me all the while? There's no way you would know how to cure the poison in your system if you didn't know how to use Holy power. So, you had me fooled." His grip tightened on Yeon Jin's wrist and an angry Yeon Jin knocked him hard on the head with his other hand, causing him to let go.

"You're seriously a piece of work." Yeon Jin said, rubbing his bruised wrist. "Of all the explanations to believe, you chose to believe the worst. You're truly something."

They both exchanged glares and though Beric could not see Yeon Jin's eyes, he knew he was glaring back. It was so bold of him and his blood boiled, knowing he would always defile him but he ended up sighing and looking aside, defeated.

"Explain yourself." He suddenly said,

To him, this was him giving Yeon Jin a saving grace but Yeon Jin did not perceive it as that and his eyebrows twitched from underneath his blindfold.

"What?"
