Demise of the King

1:30 PM

As Khun Saul was already descending to the staircase, the sound of sirens inside the hub suddenly stopped.

The air blowing on his face felt harsh. He wished that he could fly at that moment.

"You're right on time Ba Kaung. Quick…quick… start the engine!" He hurriedly said to his personal driver.

Remo was already flying like a gale of wind after he opens the door.

"Not so fast fellows!"

As soon as Khun Saul saw his image, he immediately released an intimidating aura with eyes wide open like a tiger.

He clenched his fists upon seeing him suddenly appeared on his side.

While gnashing his teeth, Khun Saul delivered an extremely powerful offensive punch to his face.

In the eyes of Remo, the blow of Khun Saul was playing like a slow-motion recording coming to him.

Sliding his body to avoid it, he grabs his neck where the head connects the rest of his body.

"If you need a road to heaven, but you cannot go through because of your sins, --- then there's no door for you to step in hell!" he said.

"Cracked!...

"I'm sorry. This is only business!"

What a terrifying strength! The neck of Khun Saul was badly broken.

The opium king was no longer breathing when shots rang out coming from the driver holding a caliber 45 pistol.

"Bang! bang!!" …

Two shots rang out moving at high-speed coming unto his body.

Without waiting for the bullets to hit him, Remo's figure, like a phantom-like shadow, was already beside the shooter.

"I guess you were enjoying killing innocent people in the past, hmmm?"

"I guess this will be your last!"

Just like what he did to Khun Saul, he broke his neck like it was nothing.

"Cracked!" …

In this human world, strength and power was really important!

Remo goes back to Khun Saul to make sure it was the man.

He pulled his smartphone when he was sure it was really him.

'Click… Click!'

"You are the first and probably would not to be the last!"

Remo went back to the place where Han Htoo was previously lying.

He was still grimacing in pain from the injury he sustained from the gunshot wound.

Misery…

Disgust…

Hopelessness...

His eyes held nothing but contempt on his predicament.

"Get up!" Remo yelled.

Now he wonders what to do with him. Han Htoo saw what he did and knew who he was.

If he would kill him now, it's not fair and not right!

This is new...

For the first time, Remo's eyes showed a different color.

Whatever happened today was an open secret.

At least, to the man in front of him.

Han Htoo had written him off as a serial killer!

Moreover, when someone comes to investigate, nobody would believe the culprit who just did all these damages was in the wrong place.

With all the evidence scattered around, no one would believe it even by police!

"Alright, Han Htoo. I'll get straight to the point."

"I want you to know I'll definitely kill you! However, give me good reasons I would not do that!"

Han Htoo was jolted. He felt an intense surge of pain from his wounds even more.

But knowing there was some sort of a chance, it's worth cheating.

He wants to get out here alive.

"I… I did not see you Sir! I never met you today!"

The place went silent!

Remo understood he was done for the moment.

"Your phone, Han Htoo!"

Han Htoo took it on his pocket and threw his smartphone.

Remo opened the settings and remembered the phone numbers.

Taking one last gaze around before stepping out, he let out a cold smile leaving the phone at the staircase.

"You never saw me." He repeated what he heard from him.

"Y…yes, Sir!" …

Not turning around, he walks towards the tunnel entrance doors and called back.

"I would like to say Han Htoo --- I'll let you go!" Remo shot back.

"Be sure to stay yourself in the confines of your story. You would be easily eliminated if I wanted to!"

"T..thank you Sir!"

A brief moment of surprised overwhelmed him. He had never experienced some stroke of luck.

"Don't thank me yet. I'll see you again!"

As Remo was about to step outside, lightning cut across the sky.

A loud boom followed breaking the silence of the surroundings.

Han Htoo yelped. Rain was pouring down hard. It was sunny just a moment ago.

"God…What's happening? Is this a phenomenon? Who is this young guy?"

Remo looked up the bright sky. Clouds look dark because they are thicker and denser.

But they are not thick enough to block the sun.

Calmness washed over him.

The rain was beginning to pour.

He hurriedly went to his service car.

Walking away, he started to plan his own game of telling his story from visiting this place.

"What time was it?" he asked himself.

Before reaching the car, he barely even noticed he was already drenched.

The restaurant has been teeming with customers.

Remo was shocked!

"Was there a cleaner sent in my behalf?"

Unbeknown to him, among the people taking their sweet time inside were Nightstalker and Raven.

Remo hurriedly went towards his car, started the engine and drives back to avoid customers recognized his cover.

The rain that fell a minute ago already stopped. He felt it was no longer a punishment.

It was like a renewal cleansing to a new future, free from the shadows of constantly living his life in a tough situation.

"Mom, I hope I've never not let you down of what I did today!'

Remo heaved his sigh of forgiveness.

Pulling out his phone he wanted to make sure the person he had just killed was not a mistake.

It was past five in the afternoon when he reached his cabin.

He looked around and activate his sense of vision and it proves there was no one in the vicinity.
