Dedicated Idiot

The Sandy family has different training rooms for cultivating the new generation of practitioners, starting from the beginner phase of condensing battle qi to a six-star warrior. Each training room has a similar structure, a hall with a varying number of private rooms. The same applies to the training of magicians.

Thus, there are a total of fourteen training rooms within the Sandy family! This is not surprising because once someone advances to a glorious warrior or great magician, they become the mainstay and core of the family. Naturally, they won't train with others and will have their own status and private training space.

Each training room has designated instructors. For example, the training room for condensing battle qi is supervised by a three-star warrior, the one-star warrior training room by a four-star warrior, and so on. From four-star to six-star training rooms, the instructors are all glorious warriors.

From four stars onwards, these practitioners already possess considerable strength and can take on crucial roles in the family's outer guard. They are key individuals the family focuses on cultivating.

Originally, with Shen's status and talent, it would have been impossible for him to be personally guided by Thor in condensing battle qi. However, he benefited from being associated with Tammo and Sharp, even though Shen himself didn't care for this "benefit."

As Shen, accompanied by Thor, officially stepped into the one-star training room, the tall and imposing four-star warrior instructor immediately stood up, greeting them with a humble smile, "Greetings, Elder Thor! Young Master Tammo is so diligent and gifted; he truly is the hope of our family's next generation."

"Indeed." Thor smiled and then looked strangely at Shen, who was following him. If Tammo was a genius, Shen was certainly a fool. Yet, this fool's advancement speed wasn't much slower than Tammo's, which was truly peculiar.

Next, as the instructor turned his gaze to Shen, he was greatly surprised. He recognized this child, Cotton! The one who had once caused a huge laughable incident and yet was fortunate enough to train alongside the next generation's leader of the family, envied by many. His astonishment was due to Shen's presence in the one-star warrior training room!

At that moment, the instructor's body froze, and his eyes filled with disbelief as he stared at Shen. He also sensed the aura of a condensed battle qi layer from Shen.

Thor, ignoring the instructor's shock, simply smiled and said, "Go and bring Tammo out."

Tammo, this genius who had been pampered since childhood, needed some reality checks. Thor wanted him to see that, despite his enviable talent, his cultivation progress was only slightly faster than Shen's. This could ignite Tammo's competitive spirit, making him play less and invest more time on cultivating.

That would be beneficial for both Tammo and the family!

Moments later, a puzzled Tammo walked out of the inner room. Seeing Thor and Shen standing behind him, he was visibly stunned, then sneered.

Why did Thor bring this idiot and specifically call him out? What was going on?

Before Tammo could ask, Thor said, "Tammo, from today, Cotton will train with you."

"What?! No way! I don't want to stay with this idiot!! Sharp has been with him for so long and has become just as dumb!!" Tammo was shocked, his face turning red, and he immediately objected. 

Then, Tammo added, "Grandpa Thor, although you are my mentor, don't forget this is the one-star warrior training room. This idiot probably hasn't even accumulated half his battle qi yet! And you want him to train with me?"

Both Thor and the instructor could sense Shen's one-star warrior aura, but Tammo, having just entered one-star, lacked the ability to sense this. Moreover, he couldn't even conceive of comparing himself with Shen! With his talent, there was no way he could consider himself on the same level as Shen!

His words left Thor and the instructor feeling conflicted. Tammo constantly called Shen an idiot, yet Shen's cultivation progress wasn't much behind his... thanks to Shen's diligence. In Thor's eyes, this diligence stemmed from Shen's wooden-headedness, making him train tirelessly like a machine. Regardless, this persistence had allowed Shen to almost catch up with the genius Tammo!

"Enough! Cotton is now a one-star warrior! Calling him an idiot reflects poorly on you too," Thor admonished after a moment of reflection.

"What!! That's impossible!! How could he become a one-star warrior so quickly?! This can't be! Did he advance even before Sharp?!" Tammo was utterly shocked, staring at Shen with disbelief. He was completely dumbfounded.

"It's settled. Wesley, arrange a training room next to Tammo's for Cotton!" Thor instructed, feeling a mix of emotions. If Tammo, with his exceptional talent, had Shen's persistence in training, his progress would be...

Unfortunately, such dedication to training at a young age was probably only possible for children with less intelligence.

Following this, Shen calmly followed Wesley to the training room next to Tammo's, while Tammo stared at him in a daze. Shen didn't care about quarreling with a child, but Thor saw this as further evidence of his wooden-headedness.

That night, Thor couldn't resist secretly checking on Shen's training. Seeing that Shen really only slept five to six hours a day and spent the rest of the time cultivating, Thor couldn't help but be deeply impressed. 

"Maybe, at this rate, his advancement to two-star warrior won't be much later than Tammo's. Then again, as cultivation progresses, the gap between different talents widens. While diligence can compensate for talent in condensing the battle qi layer, it can't keep up beyond one or two stars..." Thor muttered to himself, eventually smiling wryly.

Shen was Shen after all, with his ordinary talent, he might catch up to Tammo initially through hard work, but in the long run, the gap would widen!
