She stated proud of herself, before she started she even doubted if she will win, but it looks that luck was on her own side.

"Actually I would even now but I guess now dinner is nearly ready." he told her his hands caressing her cheeks.

He would challenge her every minutes he gets, it was a total bliss.

Yeah dinner was almost ready, and since she told them to bring the food in their chamber, they might arrive on their door soon.

She went to the bathroom to quickly clean herself before she came out fresh and found Demetrius still on his spot.

Did he already clean himself? he asked herself.

"Princess can you clean me please." he told her and Meli couldn't believe he was asking her to do that.

She looked at him to look if he was joking but he was damn serious. But there was nothing wrong with cleaning him up, yeah.

"Okay let's go to the the bathroom." She told him but, he raised his hand up which meant he wanted her to take his hand.

She walked towards him and took his hands but instead of him standing up, he pulled her to him, and she ended up falling it top of him, and he wrapped his arms around her.

"Let just stay like this for a while, I already cleaned myself." He told, Meli couldn't help but wonder that they have been behaving strangely lately, first she was the one who said it and now it was him.

They stayed like that listening to each others heart beat, not long they were jolted by the sudden knock on the door.

They called them in and they brought the food in, after placing it on the table, they left immediately.

After eating, they got ready for bed but not before, Meli read the book he was told to read.

After Demetrius sat he opened up his legs for her to to seat between, after she settled in, she brought duvet over to them to cover a half of their bodies.

Meli saw the book, she didn't see it earlier, it was the book she gave him that day.

She opened the page Demetrius told her to read and her eyes almost drop out of their sockets, this page was so intimate. It talked about the couples reunion, the day she decided to devour each other's bodies.

"Demetrius I can't read this." She said still looking at the lines.

"If you don't want to read then I will not forgive you." He stated resting his head back on the board of the bed.

What? was he threatening her now? She had no choice but to read it, because she had agree to it she could have checked the book first before agreeing to to read it.

"Are you going to read or should I take my forgiveness back?" He threatened again and she decided to read it.

She will just put up with it, until the chapter is over, besides pages are not that much.

Meanwhile after the King finished to eat, he went to his office did some few things before retiring to their chamber, but before he goes there, he was planning to go somewhere first.

He unlock the door then got inside, He switch on the lights, removed the cloths that were covering the pictures, portrait and frames, one by one as he caress them then suddenly he stopped at the huge portrait in the middle, took a stool by the corner then sat on it Infront of the big portrait.

It was a picture of an exquisite, woman wearing a purple dress, she has the most beautiful smile.

"Hallo my queen...He stated and the spirit of her appeared in the room and hug him from behind. She was wearing a long white dress and her beautiful wavy hair flows down to her waist.

"Hallo my love." The spirit replied but he couldn't hear her but he can sense her presence around him.

"I am sorry I have not been visiting you, is just I a have a lot going on." He apologized.

"Don't worry I understand you have a lot in your plate." She replied still not removing her arms around him.

"But today I came to tell you something." His eyes brightening, with a smile.

"I am listening, what is it?" She asked also smiling.

"Do you remember the tea you use to make for me when you were still alive?"

"Yes what about it?"

"I drank it today and do you know who made it, your daughter in law, our daughter in law, it turns out she is really a good girl we did make a good choice by chosing her for our son."

"Yes my love, I knew it, from the moment I saw her I knew she was perfect for our dear son." The spirit replied standing Infront of him to see his bright face.

"Today she really reminded me of you, and for the first since you left I felt things I have never felt in many years." He admitted caressing the photo.

"I am glad to hear that." She said with a smile.

"I have to go but I promise I will visit you again very soon, I love you." He stated then kissed her lips from the portrait.

"I love you too and I can't wait to see you again." She stated before she disappear into thin air.

Like that he again covered all the frames, pictures together with the portrait. Locked the door and left to his chamber.

Arriving in their chamber a familiar scent hit his nostril and he could guess what was happening.

He got inside and before he did anything else the Queen emerged from nowhere with the tiniest night gown ever.

The king didn't even bother to glance at her, he just continued with removing his attire. The queen cat walked to him and wrapped her hands around his tors from behind.

"What are you doing?" He asked with piercing gaze.

"Hugging my husband, is there something wrong with that?" She asked pissed but she tried to put it calm.

"Is not bad but it depends with what you want by hugging your husband." He stated his face glaring.

"Can I just want you? She asked but he didn't answer, when she saw that he didn't answer she decided to admit that he wanted him,,,I want you, you highness." She admitted turning him around.

When he got to look at her and saw what she was wearing he was disgustes.

"What are you wearing?" The king asked looking disgusted.

The Queen was on the edge but she was still able to put it calm. Inside she was brimming with fury.

"What do you mean what I am wearing? can't you see i am dressed up for you?" She stated a little irritated, was this man for real?

She took her time to prepare herself for him only to act like this, she shaved, she applied his favorite lotion.

"You look ridiculous, go and put something decent on." He stated even without thinking twice.

She almost didn't believe her ears, did she go through all if those trouble for this, for nothing, only to be rejected like this, to be insulted like this.

"What did I do to you that made you hate me like this?" she asked her heart breaking, tears threatening to fall, after all she was still human being, she can feel pain. Why didn't he care about her feelings.

Now in this world there was only one person who cared for her, his son, apart from him no one cared about her, her daughter was siding with her enemies and her husband the only person who she thought will be able to hold her hands in this road was treating her like a trash. Just what did she do to deserve a life like this?

"I am sorry but, I don't have a answer for that." The king said going towards the bathroom but the Queen held him.

"Just tell me, may be that way I will be able to fix or mend it."

"Do you really want to hear it?" He asked her.

"Yes." Even though she was scared of what he will say she was ready for it no matter how big it was.

"I am sorry but I have never love you."

It was a painful truth that she had to swallow even if it was choking her.

"If you don't love me then why did you marr me." She can still remember how he was smiling on the day of the wedding.

"Come on you of all people know why I married you."

Yeah she knew why he married her but she just wanted to hear this bitter truth so that she can combine them and cry once and for all.

"I am married you because my wife asked me too." She answered truthfully.

He can still remember how his late wife encouraged him to remarry even though he didn't want to, he had to force a smile on his face to please her.

He can still remember vividly, his wife was sick she was examined with breast cancer, she went back to her village but when she came back she came back with her.

And started to tell him that she brought her a wife, she wanted once she dies Demetrius will have a mother and he will not cry to much over her death.

So every night she will push him away so that he can go spend the night with her and not so long, Prince Charles was born, and then after three years, Helena was born.

"Yeah and if I knew that this is what I was going to face, I should have just stayed in the village, maybe my world would have been different." She stated with tears trimming down her face.

She can still remember how excited she was when she received the news, the palace be a king's husband she didn't even think twice before saying yes to her friend.

She came to the palace and she couldn't stop herself wondering how gigantic the palace was, that day and that moment she decided that she was never going back to the village, she will be the next Queen of this Kingdom.

And the people from her village will respect her, not to disrespect her how they use too.

When She introduced her to the king she fell in love with him the first sight and since that day she has never put him away from her heart.

Then she remembered the doctor coming next day and telling them that there was a way she can escape death. If she could escape death that means she will get better and take everything she was giving her.

She was furious she didn't want to go back to the village, not after she found out that she had won a jackpot.

So the only way that was there was to kill the Queen, and that way she will be able to be the next Queen and the one that get to stand next to the gorgeous handsome king.

She knew if the first Queen didn't die the king will only looked at her, she planned how to get rid of her.

Then she came up with an idea to kill her slowly during her afternoon tea, she paid one if the kitchen maids to help her with the job and Luckily it worked and not long the Queen died thinking that she died of cancer but the truth is that she was the one who killed the late Queen.

Now she was filled with regrets, she shouldn't have done all she did, the perfect life, the perfect husband, the perfect marriage, where was it?

She couldn't help but wonder if God was punishing her for what she did. That is why since she got married her life was miserable.

"I am sorry." The king could only apologize, he never intended hurt her.

"Can't you love me just a little bit." She asked with tears trimming her face measuring with her hands for him a little bit.

"I am sorry but I can't." He stated then left to the bathroom.

All his life he has only love one woman and he was never going to love any other woman, that is what he swore even when she was still alive.

The Queen cried for a while on her spot, wondering how table turned on her, she should have gone back to the village maybe now she could have a loving husband with her children on her small home.

And maybe Demetrius could have grown to better son, maybe the two of them would have become best friend the King and his first born son.

But all of that it was to late to change now.
