His Mate
The young lady serving Eclipse and his colleagues was a sight to behold. Her beauty was like nothing Eclipse had ever seen before. Her aura was regal, reminding him of his late mother. Her sapphire blue eyes were like the calm ocean, and her full red lips were reminiscent of strawberries and flowers. As she approached their table, Eclipse and his companions couldn't help but stare at her in awe.
They quickly went through the menu and placed their orders, but the girl couldn't help but chuckle as she watched her customers staring at her. Her laughter shook them out of their stupor, causing them to clear their throats awkwardly. "So, do you intend to order or not?" she asked with raised eyebrows.
"I will be back in ten," she said, taking the menus and walking away. Eclipse couldn't help but purse his lips and stare in the direction the young lady walked.
As they waited for their food, Eclipse's colleagues couldn't help but comment on her beauty. "Wow, she is gorgeous," one of them exclaimed, shocked that she, a woman, was attracted to her fellow women's attractiveness.
"Indeed, she is, and her smile is quite enchanting," Zane's mate whispered under her breath. "How can a human seem so stunning while also being warm and mysterious?"
"That man would be quite fortunate," Gabriel's mate muttered, amazed by the young woman's breathtaking beauty.
Eclipse, on the other hand, was fixated on her. "She is mine," he stated in a sinister tone, startling his companions into stillness. Their jaws dropped. "In this life and the next, she can only be in my arms; no other man is permitted to have her but me," he said in a quiet but forceful tone.
Zane attempted to comprehend what Eclipse meant. "Yours, as your fated companion?" Godfrey inquired with arched brows, prompting the others to question their Alpha prince.
"Yes, my mate," Eclipse replied, attempting not to scream in delight. His pals whistled enthusiastically, grinning from ear to ear.
When the young lady returned with their lunch, Eclipse and his pals knew her colleague Troy well. They brought their lunch, which they placed on the table while her cell phone vibrated.
"Hello, I am fine," she said, as Troy returned to carry the rest of the lunch. "Listen, she has no idea where I am right now since I never informed her, and please leave me alone; your family needs you. I am not a house wrecker," the young lady replied as she approached the enormous glass window.
"Yeah, just do the right thing, bye," she replied. After hanging up, she removed her phone's SIM card and discarded it. "I do not need any irresponsible males in my life," she murmured to herself as she approached Eclipse and his pals.
"Umm, hello, do you people need anything else?" she asked, smiling. "No ma'am, thank you," Godfrey said with a wave of his hand.
"Okay, have a nice meal," she responded with a smile as she turned and walked away without looking at Eclipse, who had his fists clenched hard as he exhaled, and his companions gave him a sympathetic look.
"Why did not she look my way?" Eclipse inquired, and for the first time, they detected helplessness in his voice.
"Listen, bro, maybe you should attempt to get close to her," Zane remarked, sighing, not liking seeing his brother-like way.
"How would you expect me to accomplish that?" He questioned, frustrated when the young lady returned with a glass of juice.
"Umm, sir, I noticed you did not order any juice, so I brought you one," the young lady said, looking into Eclipse's eyes, and he fought back a smile as he received the glass of juice from her. After he freed her of the glass of juice, she turned on her heels, attempting to return to her office, but her hand was quickly gripped from behind, sparks flying everywhere as he turned around to face the person.
"Eclipse," the Alpha prince introduced himself, causing the young lady to giggle in amusement.
"Just like the moon and sun?" She inquired, peering into his cold eyes as a smirk flickered on the corner of his lips.
"I suppose," he said with a shrug.
"Alazne," she introduced herself in response, perplexing Eclipse and his buddies; a gorgeous woman with a beautiful name, Eclipse was certainly fortunate.
"Nice to meet you; I would want to take my departure," she remarked, staring at the elevator.
"Why don't you sit down and enjoy lunch with us?" Eclipse inquired as his comrades held their breath; their Alpha prince was moving too quickly.
"I am sorry, but I have a lot of paperwork to do and do not have time to eat right now," she replied, attempting to pull her palm away from his, but he held on fast.
"Let go," she whispered with a sigh, not liking how a stranger was holding her hand; something about the way Eclipse held her hand reminded her of a horrible memory.
"I can't," Eclipse said, his eyes locked onto hers, and his grip tightening, this scene caused Eclipse's pals to laugh lightly as he stood up, hocking an arm around Alazne's slender waist. Alazne looked up at the man with a look of dissatisfaction but Eclipse wasn't willing to relent.
Eclipse and Alazne were standing at the table, with Eclipse bargaining with her to have lunch before she could go to work. Alazne was not happy with the situation and was puffing up her cheeks in annoyance. Eclipse, fed up with her attitude, sat down and pulled her onto his lap, trying to make her listen to him.
He spoke firmly, telling her that she was going to have lunch with him, and there was no way around it. Alazne wasn't pleased with the idea, muttering to herself about men, dinner, and lunch. Eclipse noticed her muttering and didn't like what he heard. He thought about what he would do to any man who tried to take her out for lunch or dinner.
Despite his dark thoughts, Agnes, who had walked in, chuckled at Alazne's defeated look. Agnes was glad that Eclipse had taken a liking to her lady boss. Eclipse continued to feed Alazne, and she eventually accepted the gesture, though she had never been fed by anyone other than her parents before.
After they finished lunch, Eclipse let go of her, and Alazne practically ran for the elevator. Eclipse couldn't help but laugh at her sudden departure. He turned to his friends, Godfrey and Gabriel, wondering if he was too intimidating for Alazne.
They reminded him that Alazne was human and that he should be patient with her. Eclipse had been waiting for his mate for three centuries, and he was growing impatient. He couldn't wait any longer and just wanted to be with her, no matter the cost. His friends could only sigh in helplessness, knowing how much he wanted to be with his mate.
"Do not worry, I will help you court her," Agnes stated, interrupting their talk. Eclipse and his companions glanced at Agnes in surprise.
"How?" Eclipse asked with wrinkled brows.
"There is someone who wants to see you," Agnes remarked without answering his question. Agnes whistled loudly, and a little girl around the age of seven strolled toward their table, her blonde hair in pigtails, she paused before Eclipse, a gorgeous smile on her chubby face.
"Please, come closer," the girl requested, and Eclipse did so quickly, softly placing her palm against his cheeks as her deep blue eyes turned icy blue.
After about two minutes, her eyes returned to their natural hue. "She will be yours, no matter what, but many adversaries are waiting in the darkness, watching your every move." "They will do whatever to steal your happiness, and they will not stop until you are shattered beyond fixation," the small girl remarked seriously.
"Don't give up, ke"Do not give up; keep following her because if you stop, she might be snatched," she added, dropping her hand from his cheek and walking away.
"She is my daughter, and she can catch a glimpse of the future and the past; I will help you win her love," Agnes remarked before walking away. Eclipse's companions were perplexed by what had happened; what did that girl mean?
"Let us get moving," Eclipse said, jumping up; he needed to talk to someone; he could not afford to lose her; she had just entered his life, and there were already warning flags.
After returning home, Eclipse traveled to his father's house with his two brothers in tow. A man with silver hair sat in the center of the nicely designed living room, holding a woman with brown hair, but when she spotted Eclipse, she stood up in joy.
"Wow, look who is here, son; how are you doing?" The golden-haired woman inquired, but Eclipse did not even return her gaze.
"I am doing well, ma'am," he said coldly, as his brothers cleared their throats uneasily, knowing Eclipse did not like their mother; for some reason, Eclipse despised the sight of her.
"Father, I need to speak with you," Eclipse murmured, sitting down. His stepmother's lips pursed hard, a pained glow mirrored in her eyes as she sat slowly.
"So, boy, what is going on?" The Alpha King inquired as he drew his mate into his embrace.
"I met my mate," Eclipse admitted with a sigh
"How? Where? When?" The king asked in shock. Even the queen was in shock.
"This afternoon, at a restaurant and I don't know how it happened," He responded answering his father.
"Which pack is she from? Is she an Alpha, a Beta, a Gemma, or a warrior," the king asked excitedly causing Eclipse and his brothers to exchange a distressed look.
"Actually, she is a human," Eclipse mumbled causing his father's smile to stiffen.
"So she was right after all," his father muttered under his breath.
"But I want her, Father, she makes me feel peace like my life has a meaning, I don't care about her Identity, I just want her," Eclipse said in a firm tone.
His brothers knew why Eclipse was telling their father about his human mate because their father always has his ways with people.
"Agnes promised to help you, please be patient bro, you just met her," Zane said with a sigh, he didn't want his brother to scare the girl away.
"You need to calm down, we will help you get this girl," his other brother said, his voice full of assurance but Eclipse wasn't willing to be patient, his patience had thinned.
"She doesn't even want to be near me, she stopped smiling the moment I held her hand, I understand she is human but isn't this bond supposed to work equally?" Eclipse asked leaning back.
"Look at all of you, every one of you has your mates in your arms, why can't mine be with me the moment we met? I'm not asking much I just want my mate to be close to me," Eclipse said sounding helpless, his family exchanged looks, they were wondering what would happen if Eclipse's mate rejected him because the girl wasn't close to him and he was already shattered.
"Listen, buddy, I will do everything in my power to bring her to you, just be a little bit patient," his father said firmly.
"Okay, just a bit more endurance," Eclipse said as he stood up and left. He was in pain, the more he talked about her, the greater his pain became.
Meanwhile, Alazne walked out of the elevator, heading towards the exit of the restaurant. "Ma'am," Agnes called from behind her causing her to halt.
"Yes, Agnes," she responded turning around to face her.
"That young man who you had lunch with, he wants to take you out on a date," Agnes said with a smile, Alazne's brows shot up in surprise while her lips were pursed in dissatisfaction.
"I don't have time to go on dates, Agnes. Tell him not to bother me again, please," Alazne replied mildly, sounding uninterested in the conversation.
"Ma'am but it seems like he has taken a fancy to you," Agnes said with a smile.
"Well, tell him I don't like him," Alazne said as she walked away while Agnes let out a defeated laugh, this is the first time someone is not swayed by her Alpha prince's looks, well, Eclipse is surely going to rage after hearing Agnes words.
