The Three Great Treasures

Alice clenched her fists to her chest and hid under the covers with great excitement.

It was great! With Lestat's definite answer, she didn't have to think or worry anymore.

From now on, Lestat would be the only one she could rely on, and she already imagined a better life for the two of them.

"I'll never let go again."

In a daze, Alice seemed to hear Lestat say something. But she hadn't slept for a day, and with her mind relaxed at this point, she soon drifted off to sleep.

It was not until late that evening that Alice woke up from her bed.

For a moment, she almost didn't know where she was when she first opened her eyes. But soon she remembered everything and was a little embarrassed to face Lestat, thinking of the bold confession she had made before she went to bed.

But soon, she realised something was wrong.

She hurriedly rolled over and turned the bedside lamp on, her pupils flinching as her eyes fell on the bed beside her.
