Joshua's childhood pictures

Letitia was so startled that she almost fell down the stairs and hurriedly grabbed the railing to turn back. But it was no one else who spoke, but Mrs Kristin in her pyjamas.

She was dressed in soft pyjamas and was carrying a cup of hot water. She had completely removed her make-up, and although age had marked the ends of her eyes, looking at her in the light did not detract from her beauty in any way.

She looked at Letitia with a smile and continued, "Why are you not asleep yet?"

Letitia was relieved and a little embarrassed at this, "I wanted to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water."

"Next time you can ring the bell in your room and someone will bring up hot water." She explained, her eyes returning to the painting, "You think it's a nice painting too, don't you?"

Letitia nodded, recalling what she had just said, "Are you saying that Joshua painted this one?"
