IT has been one month since we went to Old Oak, one month since Connor’s mother disappeared into the Veil, and one month since I’ve last spoken to my mate. I thought Connor was going to come and apologize after our conversation last time, but for those days he had been doing his best to avoid me. He was still coming home to the house but he would arrive late at night. I would feel him slipping under the covers beside me but aside from that, we have no other interactions.

My wolf was so agitated as we had no communication with my mate. She has been hounding me for days now to just go and talk to him, apologize even. But I didn’t do anything wrong. I was the one who gave him enough space to think about what happened. I rubbed the sides of my forehead as a headache was starting to form with the stress I was getting.
