Chapter Six

She thought about it then grinned. "In the one place, no one will dare cause a scene. The moon alter. A place the Goddess holds close." Kar agrees with her. She stays in his arms and nuzzles his neck. "Kar umm..." she hears him chuckle. "Just ask what you want Love." She looks up at him. "Can we share an office? I don't like being away from you." He kisses the top of her head. "Yes love I would love that as well." She stands up and kisses him.

Kar was in a meeting with his portal team. Lynn ran in and hid behind him. "Babe don't let them get me." Before he could say anything a bunch of the pack's small kids came running in and saw her. "Get the monster." Kar raised his eyes as Lynn let out a small laugh. When she shifted and tackled one of the kids licking him. "Luna, can I ride on your back?" Kar smiled at the sight before him.

She laid down and let the kid climb up. Lynn carefully ran around. Then mind linked the kids something and they all looked at Kar. "Get Alpha we must protect our Luna." Kar saw Lynn let out a playful howl as she tackled him pinning him down. "My love you have rallied strong warriors to your side I submit to you all."

He bowed down and she yipped and howled making the kids scream out in victory. After she shifted back and smiled at the kids and Kar. "Alright everyone let's let our Alpha get back to work we will go make them some snacks. I bet the stuff in the oven is done by now." She kissed his cheek as she ushered the kids out. "I love you my little Luna." He said with there mate link. "And I you my Alpha."

Lynn helped them put frosting and other stuff on the cupcakes. She put them all one a tray and let the kids pass them out to all the warriors. "This was their idea. They wanted to thank you all of keeping them safe." She tells them all. The warriors all smile and thank the children. When they leave Lynn turns at the door. "Kar." She says her voice was low.

He looked up to see her shaking as she looked at him. Running to her side. "Love what is it?" Kar felt her legs buckle. "Paul's not dead. There are vampires working with the rouges. They are headed this way." She jumped up. "You must lead the warriors I will get the woman and kids to safety." He nods in agreement.

Lynn was standing in front of the cave entrance protecting the woman and kids. She heard a growl and shifted fast her wolf was huge. "Kar there is someone here. Whoever it is they are close." She said through the mate link. "Love please stay safe." She growled when a huge grey wolf showed up in front of her.

She readied herself. When the wolf lunged at her. She attacked it. "Give me the women and children." The wolf said. She growled. "Not going to happen." The wolf and her fought when she let out a howl and whine. "Kar help me hurry." She said as she fought the wolf. "Love your hurt." She heard Kar but she had to focus on the wolf in front of her.

Kar ran as fast as he could when he got to the place where he knew she would be. Kar saw a gray wolf had her pinned by the neck. Kar ran and knocked the wolf away and stood in front of his mate growling. "Your pack has been pushed back. Leave now or you will die." He heard Lynn whimper.

The gray wolf ran off and left. Kar shifted and turned to his mate. She lifted her head and looked at him. "Are they safe Kar?" she asked. "Yes, Love you protected them well, but now we need to get you to the pack hospital." She shifted back to her human form and Kar picked her up as his warriors came. "Our Luna is hurt. Protect the woman and children. I will take her to the hospital."

Lynn gave in and the darkness take her. When she next woke up, she was in a white room. "Kar." When she heard movement, she turned to see him sitting up from a chair. "I'm here love." She felt him take her hand. "Help me sit up please." Her body hurt. With his help, she sat up. "Love you been out for four days now. Your body may seem a little weak and sore." She was shocked.

After he had told her everything that's had happened. "The kids and woman?" Kar smiled at her. "You protected them, Love. They are all well. They wish to thank you when you're better." She nods to him. "Kar, I want to go home. I don't want to stay here. Please don't make me stay here." He took her hand and kissed it. "I will talk to the doctor." He stood up and left the room. She waited for him to come back in.

Her mind was wondering who that gray wolf was and what he wanted. She didn't hear Kar come back in the room. When he touched her arm, she jumped and looked at him. "Sorry, Kar I was in my head. What did the doctor say?" He was worried about her. "You can go home as long as you stay in bed for the rest of the week," Lynn promised she would.

Once back at home and in bed. Kar looked at her. "Baby I know you need to get work done. I promise I will only get up to go to the bathroom. If I need anything, I will call you. Now go get some work done okay." Kar kissed her head and hands her the tv remote. He goes and sits in his office looking over maps and routes. His Bata Nick came in and hands him the portal logs.

They had been working for an hour when Lynn asked if she could order Netflix. "Yes, Love get whatever you want my card info is saved in the tv and laptop already." She yipped and it made him smile. "How is Luna doing?" Nick asked. "She is better. Sore and tired. She wants to know who that gray wolf is. As do I." His Bata knew all too well how much he wanted to find the wolf.

Lynn had been on bed rest for a week now and was okayed to walk around but warned she would get tired easily. She walked down to the kitchen to see some of the women and kids down there. "Luna we are all happy you are okay." The kids ran over and hugged her legs making her smile.

She sat down as one of the lady's hands her a plate. "Thank you," Lynn says. "No thank you, Luna. Oh, Good morning Alpha. Would you like breakfast?" Lynn turned to see Kar walking over to her. "Yes, please. How are you feeling Love?" she smiled up at him. "A little tired but okay. Don't worry baby I won't push myself."

She sat there and ate with him. "Kar go get your work done baby. If I need you, I will tell you." Lynn says looking at him with a smile. She saw him walk away and she went to his laptop. Opening it she sighed. She needed something to do to help her relax. Deciding to go to a crafts website she finds painting stuff and smiles.

The next day she was waiting for the mail. When it came, she ran to the door and got the packages then ran to their room setting everything up. "Love what has you so excited?" Kar asks through their bound. "You will have to wait till I'm done, baby. It's a gift for you and Miko. So, no peeking. Promise me." She said. "I promise as long as you rest." She smiles. "I will."
