　　"Destiny?" I scoff before I burst out laughing at such an outlandish statement. "You must be off your rocker just because you and I had that fleeting moment during that evening!"

　　Placing my hands on my waist as I back away from him a bit.

　　"So, what's next? After marrying you, are you going to make me the queen of Twilight Hound City? Then, together we rule over both wolves and humans?" I continue laughing my ass off.

　　The wolf next to him snarls at me before turning to the Alpha. "See, my lord? Not only is she from an inferior race, her manners are unrefined to be your mate!"

　　"It seems you didn't know much about wolves, Amala Gaines," he says while adding a sardonic smile. "Seeing that you dropped out of school at sixteen, I can see why."
