Chapter Fourteen

　　AMALA

　　It is the first time that I’ve ridden a car, let alone in an expensive vehicle like this. The front seats are occupied by the two wolves and they are quiet during the whole ride. I sit behind them with Amy as her head lies comfortably on my lap.

　　The AC in the car soothes her heated body and I feel a bit of relief when her body is no longer boiling hot like earlier.

　　"Are you sure Amy is going to get better if we go to your hospital?” I ask, breaking the silence inside the car.

　　“What she needs is a vaccination to control her canine. All children are required to get one to avoid potential risks of being controlled by their wolves,” Seth answers, stoically.

　　Oh God, if Amy hadn’t gotten that shot…morbid thoughts come to my mind as my trembling fingers caress her brown hair sticking to her sweaty forehead.

　　I’ll just consider this as being fortunate despite the problems I’ll face later on. Amy is my priority and even if I may not return to the human border—
