My Seatmate is a Master (11) - The Villain's Feelings

The next morning, Kiba arrived at school exceptionally early, hoping to catch up on some studying before his training session in the afternoon. However, he noticed that Shira had not yet arrived.

He thought, 'Shira's still not here. Should I walk to her house or wait here?'

Then Kiba went to the men's comfort room and washed his hands. He decided to use this time to make subtle changes in his appearance and demeanor.

'I should just wait here. She might not like it if I'm too clingy at times.' He fixed his hair and adjusted the blazer of his clothes.

He had chosen a new, more stylish outfit that highlighted his physique and showcased his evolving sense of fashion. It was a noticeable departure from his previous attire, and Kiba couldn't help but feel a boost in his confidence as he walked through the school corridors.

'Mom's taste in fashion and my brother's wardrobe as a reference ain't too bad. I never thought dressing up and walking more comfortably would be satisfying.'

Kiba's transformation didn't go unnoticed. As he made his way to the study area, he received admiring glances from girls and compliments from classmates.

"Look! The god of studying used to be so fat, he's as unlikely as his brother before. But he has changed now!"

"That's right! I also remember him being sickly most of the time. And the teachers even used to exempt him from participating in various PE classes and even in the sports meet!"

"He must have been cured of his severe asthma!"

"I also haven't seen him bring his medicine. And luckily, he did not have an attack this school year!"

"He really looks more handsome than all the boys in this school! He's even more handsome than the school grass!"

The positive reactions left him both surprised and pleased. He thought, 'I also did not know why I was cured. But my Mom thinks being with Shira helped me a lot. Well, she's my lucky star after all.'

Kiba had always been the quiet, intelligent one, and this newfound attention was a pleasant change. As he settled down to study, he couldn't help but overhear the whispers of admiration from some of the girls nearby.

They were talking about his recent changes and how much they liked the "new" Kiba. Kiba's sense of self-worth grew, but at the same time, he felt helpless. 'It's becoming harder and harder to find Shira these days. I don't even know why she's so adamant about avoiding me.'

Fina's arrival at the study area marked the beginning of an unexpected development. She had noticed that Kiba's style had changed and decided to stick with him, using their study sessions as an opportunity to get closer.

'The fat genius turned into someone so unreachable that I suddenly want to conquer him! He's from a prominent background, and he is on top of the whole year! Being his girlfriend is a good catch.' She was determined to make Kiba see her in a different light and to express her admiration for his transformation.

"Hey, Kiba," Fina said as she took a seat next to him. "I must say, I really like your new look. You've changed for the better. It suits you well."

Kiba, although flattered, felt a bit uncomfortable by the compliment. He wasn't used to this kind of attention and found it difficult to shift his focus away from his thoughts of Shira. "Thank you, Fina. It's nice of you to say that."

Fina noticed Kiba's distant demeanor and tried to engage him in conversation. "You seem preoccupied, Kiba. Is everything okay?"

Kiba hesitated for a moment, then replied, "I'm just... going through some changes, I guess. It's been a bit overwhelming."

Fina picked up on Kiba's distraction and felt a sense of unease. 'He must be thinking about another person! I need to win his heart before someone else.' She had hoped that her admiration and presence would create a connection between them.

She decided to give it some time, realizing that Kiba was dealing with his own personal matters. Nevertheless, she couldn't help but wonder about the source of his distraction and the person who occupied his thoughts.

"Can I study here with you?"

"Suit yourself."

"Seeing you, Kiba, makes me motivated to learn!" Fina winked at Kiba, which gave him goosebumps.

Fina continued to study beside Kiba, hoping to capture his attention and forge a deeper connection. She was persistent and determined to break through Kiba's current state of distraction.

As they delved into their studies, Fina asked, "Kiba, do you prefer studying with music or in silence?"

Kiba appreciated the effort Fina was making to engage him in conversation. "I usually study in silence, but some soft background music can be nice sometimes. Why do you ask?"

Fina nodded and reached for her earphones. "I thought we could try listening to some calming music. It might help us concentrate better."

Kiba agreed, and they began studying with a soothing instrumental melody in the background. While they focused on their work, Fina subtly tried to engage Kiba in conversation about his interests, hobbies, and experiences, hoping to draw him out of his shell.

Kiba appreciated Fina's efforts to connect with him, but his mind often wandered back to Shira. He couldn't help but wonder where she was and what she was doing. 'Shira, when will you appear?'

Fina, however, was determined to make a place for herself in Kiba's life and hoped that, with time, she would be the one who could capture his full attention. 'It's really hard drawing him to me, but I can't give up now...'

As Shira arrived and saw Kiba and Fina studying together, she couldn't help but feel a pang of discomfort.

[Milady, you look pale. Are you okay?]

"I'm fine, Lemolemo." But no one noticed her fingers trembling.

Her heart was at odds with her intentions, and the undeniable truth was that she cared deeply for Kiba. 'I can't continue the mission feeling attached! Because it will be harder for me to leave this place when the mission is completed. I should really keep my calm.'

She contemplated whether to approach them or let them be. A part of her wanted to assert her importance in Kiba's life, but another part felt like disrupting them might not be the best course of action.

[Milady, Fina is flirting with the Villain! Won't you stop them?]

"He can avoid her completely. He promised to, didn't he?" Shira turned her back and walked away.

Fina continued to chat with Kiba, and their conversation flowed smoothly. She was gradually breaking through his reserve, and Kiba was beginning to open up to her. However, Kiba suddenly excused himself, leaving Fina perplexed.

"Where are you going, Kiba?" Fina asked.

Kiba glanced at the door, where Shira had been standing moments ago, and replied, "I just need to check on something. I'll be back in a moment."

Fina watched him leave and wondered about his sudden departure. She couldn't help but feel that there was something more to Kiba's behavior than met the eye.

Little did she know that her presence with Kiba had not gone unnoticed by Shira, who was now facing a difficult choice about her feelings, her friendship with Kiba, and the mission in between them.

Kiba hurriedly left the study area to find Shira, determined to talk to her and understand what was going on. He knew she had left moments ago, but as he emerged from the building, he couldn't spot her anywhere. It was as if Shira had disappeared into thin air.

He mumbled, "Where could she have gone?"

He walked the familiar paths and scanned the surroundings, hoping to catch a glimpse of her distinctive silhouette, but she remained elusive. Kiba felt a sense of unease and confusion. It was not like Shira to avoid him or vanish without a word.

'Damn! She must have seen Fina studying with me!'

Kiba kept searching, retracing his steps and checking the places they usually frequented, but Shira remained out of his reach. He couldn't help but feel a growing sense of frustration and anxiety, wondering where she had gone and why she had chosen to disappear at this moment.

Shira, still feeling conflicted about Kiba and her own emotions, found herself in a hidden corner of the school building where she witnessed a distressing sight.

"You bitch!"

"Dirty beggar!"

"Come, slap this girl for me!"

A group of boys was bullying a girl, and they had cornered her where there were no surveillance cameras. Shira knew she couldn't just stand by and watch.

[Milady, are you going to save the girl?]

"Yeah."

[Please be cautious, Milady. You cannot get hurt in school and be involved in a fight with other students.]

"Give me a mask, Lemolemo."

A mask appeared on Shira's hand. [Milady, are you going to be a faceless female superhero?]

"Isn't that good?" A grin appeared on Shira's face.

Quickly, she donned a mask to conceal her identity and tied her hair back to make sure her face was less recognizable. She then intervened, standing between the bullies and the terrified girl.

Her voice was calm but resolute as she spoke to the bullies. "That's enough. Leave her alone."

The boys, initially taken aback by Shira's presence, began to taunt her.

"Who do you think you are?"

"Get lost!"

"Do you know who this young master is?"

Shira didn't back down. "I don't care who you are..."
