New roommate

"Take it away from here," without so much as a glance at the information we were presenting the officer disregarded it, he was so busy solving the obesity crisis in the country that he just had to have all of the donuts in one go, so there won't be any left for the poor kids, hence they won't get (a) fat and (b) diabetes. I have had enough, I have been all but an observer in all of this and he was getting on my nerves now, I am not letting him get high on sugar so that he ignores the important matter at hand.

"You listen here," I slammed my hands hard on his desk, Matt was holding my elbow subtly trying to control my outburst, sorry but it's too late now, he was not getting the gravity of the situation, poor children only God knows where and in whose clutches they might end up in. The officer ever so slowly looked up at me, egging me on to continue with this behavior and see where I will end up.

"I have busted my ass off to collect this information, not for you to sit here and disregard it in one go, you need to get out and look for the culprits, FIND THE BASTARDS BEHIND THIS," I was this close to wringing his fat neck and pull out the only 7 hair on his head and strangle him with the tie, equally as fat as him. Fumes were ensuing out of my ears and eyes and I might just start to emit fire in mere seconds if this lazy officer doesn't get up and do something, to show me that he is just as interested in solving this as I was.

"What were you saying?" he picked a chocolate chip from his teeth, sitting back and giving me his undivided attention, he put one hand over his large, round belly and with the other twisted his ugly handlebar mustache, he was not the brightest of the bulb that much was clear, we have just spent 30 mins explaining to him why we were here and why do we need his help and he was demanding me to explain this again? I toned down my temper knowing full well that the hounds of the hell were after me and so was Simmons, I can't lose more time than I already have.

"You better pay attention to it this time around because help me god, I won't be able to control myself again," I removed my hands from his desk, stand up tall, as tall as I can be at 5'2" and if I get to know that he was humoring the small lady with crazy hair and a mouth that spits fire he has another thing coming his way, I was tired of people not taking me seriously.

"It's not possible, I don't believe you, you are an ex-journalist, hahaha sorry not even a journalist, you used to work there as an informer and you want me to believe your words? You need to go and lay off, get the steam out of your body, leave these things for us men," he laughed so hard his stomach wobbled with the effect and watching it my temper flared, I have had enough. Picking up the pencil case on his desk I threw it straight at his head.

"Cam?"

"Cameron what the hell," both my mute male friends who now if I pay attention seem like siding with the officer here, were holding me back griping my arms, one in each of their hands.

"You miss attempt a grave mistake, Officer Tilly is no friend of yours you can mess with," with great difficulty stood from his chair and pulled up his pants which if I might add had the button and the belt hanging loose, disgusting creature.

"What are you going to do? I'll have you sacked," I tried to kick his butt but Steve had me pushed against him, up, out of reach of the officer or his desk, that I would wreak havoc on.

"Cameron. Don't. Do. This." Steve hissed in my ear, while Matt took the officer aside, most likely to lick his boots, I have surrounded myself with a bunch of cowards and pussies. My eyes whipped back towards the file, its contents were spilled on the desk, then I looked back at the officer and it seems Matt's boot licking skills weren't working adequately enough.

"Steve let go of me," I whispered back at him, he simply moved his head in denial, these thick-headed mem, the world would have been a great place without the likes of them.

"The file, Steve, get it before he confiscates it," realizing the gravity of the situation, he wasted no time in putting me down but he didn't let me get one step ahead, with just the force of his eyes, he had me stand still where I was, where the officer could see me, being a nice little girl, I wanted nothing better than to scoff but considering the situation I obliged, I had kept my eyes trained on the officer and Steve, making sure he was able to get everything before he barges in.

"Hurry up," I noticed movements outside the door, and heard footsteps clearly indicating that they were coming back, "Steve, let go, get back here," it was just in the nick of time that Steve got back and stood beside me, file stuffed inside his shirt, my heart skipped a beat when Matt and the officer came in arguing.

"No, Mr. Matt, I cant do more than this, she has to stay," I looked back up at the officer and he took a step back before, pulling up his pants once more that now has the belt and the button shut securely.

"You miss need a good locking up, to get your head in the right place, now I know the cell isn't the right place for people like you,"

"The jail is more like it," I looked up at Steve.

"I know now why our system is failing, its because people like you are not catching the real culprits but getting the innocent bystanders locked up so that they could freely roam the streets and could carry on with their criminal activities with peace," this got the officer riled up, his fat face swelled up a little more, got all red and blotchy. I wanted to kick him in the balls to show him how offended I feel.

"Mark, get in here, get in here, right now, throw this woman in the cell, it would teach her some lessons,"

"Cam don't worry I have contacted my lawyer he would be here, you won't have to stay here for long," Matt more or less came and stood in front of me like a shield, Steve too wasted no time in protecting me from the view but I know what to do.

"Listen, carefully, there is a place here, a little dangerous but there are people who can help you know about the Charles person, get his information and trace him, ill join you once I am out,"

"Cam you are still not done?" Steve had his face twisted with concern.

"The file Steve, study it carefully, the location the description of the person you need to meet is there, go there please," I grabbed both of their hands and squeezed for a good measure.

"Sir, move aside please," the officer was here to take me, I wasn't worried about what was going to happen to me, all I am worried about were the children. I let go of their hands and moved aside.

"Don't wait here until the lawyer, just send him, we both can work things out, go pleased," I looked directly into Matt and Steve's eyes, conveying what I cant say through my eyes, please save them, please.

"No, talking anymore, you will regret it now, dealing like this with an officer and disturbing the peace…" I cut off his talk, and strode forward towards officer Matt, standing there ready to escort me to my cell.

"Get moving," passing by the officer, I exited the room. I need to devise a plan and soon.

After getting out of the room, I was not able to see Matt and Steve and I just hope, they do as I have told them, otherwise I might just as well declare that I am a secret agent that has been fired due to ill mental health, stupid. The officer opened the lock on the cell and I investigated my luxury room for today, the service was impeccable, the beds neat and shiny a little yellow a lot brown, and a very distinct smell of odor and piss, lovely.

A lone woman sleeping on the bed opposite mine, her back towards me. She was tall, a lot heavy that she could easily squeeze the living daylights out of me, I looked back at the officer, "Don't worry bout her, she is harmless," aww great.
