Vacation Part 2

A month has passed and I finally have a week off.

Nothing significant happened in the during this month.

Well, the appearance of the High Evolutionary was a surprise.

That guy wanted to make humans evolve into what he believed was perfection, unfortunately for him, he was stopped by the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.

The curious thing is that Wanda and Pietro knew him.

Come to think of it, Wanda's backstory was always about him and the Darkhold, even though that was in the comics.

He was also the one who found Adam Warlock and is the creator of the New Men.

For some reason, when I decided to search for him and ask him some questions to find out some facts related to him, that guy ran away without a second thought, which left me speechless.

And so, while beating up all his subordinates, I finally managed to catch him.

I asked him why he was running from me, he just said that he thought I was helping the Avengers capture him.

I denied that, and told him I wanted answers about Wanda and Pietro.

Knowing what I wanted, he told me everything without omitting a single word.

What he told me was more or less the same as the comic, the only thing different is that they really are children of Magneto, only that the High Evolutionary picked them up when their mother died.

Once the interrogation was over, I left the place, but not before taking a look at the High Evolutionary's subordinates, since among them I recognized some who would be dangerous villains.

What left me confused was the terrified look they were looking at me with and how quickly they looked away.

What Alex did not know is that the New Men were guided by their instincts.

And their instincts told them not to provoke him.

That was due to the serums Alex used, since most of them were based on animals, even though he didn't get the trait of those animals, he did possess the aura.

His aura was like that of a super carnivore that would devour them if he wanted to.

And now that his strength continues to grow, it makes him more intimidating.

The High Evolutionary also noticed the strange attitude of his subordinates, and his eyes turned bright as he fell into thought.

I also noticed his dangerous look and quickly left the place.

I didn't want this idiot to be too interested in me, after all I don't want to kill him.

The Special Olympics was also a great success, attracting a lot of attention and Genosha was filled with many tourists.

Characters like Tony, the X-Men, and even the Fantastic Four came to see it.

Most of the featured Olympics were innovative in that they accommodated Mutant abilities.

What was surprising was the 3D augmented reality technology.

This technology was created by the joint work of Riri, Jane, Wanda and Est.

Using Wanda and Est's powers to alter reality, Riri and Jane implemented it into their technology creating this.

The landscapes and the tests were very real.

Some of this technology also had a way to protect the participants.

Any extreme physical injury or damage will turn into a very painful migraine, if the attack is too big it will leave you unconscious.

When people saw this technology, we had a lot of idiots bugging to sell it to them.

Especially the military.

Well, in the end SHIELD gave us a hand and they pushed those people away.

Although Fury also wanted that technology and I did not refuse to give it to him since I knew that it was very useful when training people.

Alex is currently getting ready to take his vacation.

Those who would accompany him are Est, Illyana, Wanda, the twins, Psylocke, Irene, Laura, Riri and Rogue.

The others decided to stay and take care of Genosha and would wait for another chance to take a break, and Alex didn't press them.

With Jane's help, they found a peaceful planet a few thousand lightyears from Earth, and it was a very nice place.

Once they have prepared what is necessary, they head to the laboratory.

Upon arrival, most of their acquaintances are to say goodbye, after all they would be gone for a week.

"Well, the portal is ready, I hope you have a lot of fun" Jane said as she was looking at the screen.

"Alright, then we'll see you soon. Oh, and one thing, don't do anything foolish silly bird, or else you'll see" Alex said to the Phoenix as he raised his hand.

Who with her hands protects her butt and with grievance she says:

"I won't, sister Irene has taught me how to behave"

Everyone burst out laughing loudly upon hearing the conversation.

And at that moment, they passed through the portal with a bit of excitement.

But no one noticed, as if the world was playing a joke, the M'kraan Crystal that had been dormant released a small pulse of energy that altered where Alex's party would go.

Not even Jane herself, who was in charge of this, noticed and calmly turned off the machine.

Only the Phoenix seemed to notice a small change but she quickly forgot about it and left the lab with a smile on her face because the guy who bullies her won't bother her.

Alex Wayne POV

When we go through the portal, we feel something strange as if our surroundings were warping.

"Est, create a shield and protect everyone" I said seeing that this could be dangerous.

Est creates a barrier that covers everyone but me.

The pressure of this deformation is impressive but I was able to withstand it.

I'm confused, the portal had worked fine and out of nowhere this spatial warping occurred.

Well, for now we have to get out of this place.

And as if my words were being heard, the spatial warping stops and we step out of the portal, landing softly in what looks like a dock hangar.

We look around us curiously, as this does not look like an alien planet.

Riri looks at her watch that is connected to the portal and feels confused, and magic circles appear around her.

Minutes later her face turns serious.

"Is something wrong?" I asked her.

"We have serious problems, this place is New York"

We all feel confused by her words, since we do not consider being in that place to be bad.

"Why is something bad?" Irene asked.

"It's because this isn't our New York, it's from another universe parallel to ours" Riri said with a bitter smile.

Everyone is surprised by her words and the expression on my face changes.

I curse my fate and 'Imagine Breaker'.
