Phoenix Saga Part 14

Alex calmly walks up to D'ken, who pulls out his energy gun and starts firing at him.

Alex dodges the shots without problems and making a quick movement, appears in front of D'ken and throws a punch to his face making him fall.

D'ken drops his gun and touches his face in pain.

Alex looks at him coldly.

"Why do you get in my way? My actions have nothing to do with you" an exalted D'ken said.

Rolling his eyes, Alex says:

"Are you an idiot? The M'kraan Crystal is something you can't use lightly, if you damage it you can cause reality itself to be destroyed, even I dare not covet its power"

D'ken grits his teeth and with anger in his voice he says:

"You don't understand, I was chosen, that power can only belong to someone like me"

Alex looks at him strangely and says:

"You are really a disgrace, but it doesn't matter anymore, just go to sleep, when you wake up you will understand the harsh reality"

D'ken didn't understand what he meant until he saw Alex throwing a punch at him again.

Alex wouldn't mind killing him, but in the current situation that role falls to Lilandra.

He knows it wouldn't be a problem for her to ascend the throne, especially with how tyrannical D'ken was.

Sure its inhabitants would be happy to accept her.

Grabbing Kallark and D'ken, he dragged them to Lilandra.

He had realized that his group had already dealt with the Shi'ar soldiers.

Arriving with Lilandra, he is met with a complicated look from her.

Alex doesn't bother and says:

"Majestrix Lilandra, here is the tyrant who wanted to destroy the universe, what is your next order?"

He said it aloud so that the Shi'ar soldiers also heard him, who raised their heads and looked in his direction.

Watching their emperor being dragged and thrown around like nothing, they felt nothing.

When D'ken and Kallark decided to escape and abandon them, they were disappointed.

So they didn't care what happened to him.

Instead, the Shi'ar soldiers looked at Lilandra with much hope.

They knew that she was the only one with the power to save them and they also realized that the people who attacked them did not kill them and from what they heard, it was due to Lilandra's order.

So they were more than happy if she became their leader.

Especially because of the powerful friends she has.

Lilandra was also surprised by Alex's words and felt a little moved because she understood what he wanted to do.

This was the first time a person of the opposite sex had shown her such support.

Nodding her head, Lilandra says:

"My brother will be punished and exiled for his crimes, and Kallark will be a servant of the Shi'ar Empire and continue to fulfill his duties for the rest of his days"

Alex nods and kicks Kallark saying:

"Stop playing dead and greet your Empress"

Shaking and coughing to hide his discomfort, Kallark kneels on one leg and says:

"Long Live Majestrix Lilandra"

Seeing this, the other Shi'ar soldiers shout the same thing.

Lilandra calmly accepts it.

"So what do we do now?" Alex asked her.

"I want to quickly return to the Shi'ar Empire and put things in order" Lilandra answered.

Nodding his head, Alex touches the earpiece to his ear and says:

"Jane, open a portal to the Shi'ar Empire"

Moments later, a portal appears in front of them. Kallark and Lilandra realize that this is their homeland.

"Let's go" Alex said as he entered the portal.

Quickly everyone enters through the portal.

Kallark and the Shi'ar soldiers are shocked.

They now realize that they never stood a chance, if Alex's group had used these portals to attack the Shi'ar directly, they would have been slaughtered.

Just thinking about it chills their hearts.

Just as they were about to continue talking, another portal opens and Psylocke comes out dragging Davan Shakari.

Kallark and Lilandra are surprised as they have recognized him.

Alex approaches Psylocke and asks:

"Did they really attack while I was gone?"

Psylocke nods and throwing the bruised Davan down, she says:

"Yes, but it wasn't serious, Wanda took care of him easily"

Alex just smiles wryly.

"Well, that's fine. Lilandra, what are you going to do with this guy?" Alex asked

"That's up to you, he attacked your nation so you have a right to his life" Lilyandra answered.

Undeterred, Alex draws his sword and pierces Davan Shakari's heart with it, killing him.

Seeing how decisive Alex was, the Shi'ar soldiers shudder.

Lilandra is also undeterred and even mentally praises how decisive he was.

Arriving at the entrance to the capital, Lilandra says:

"Kallark, go and tell everyone that from now on I am their Majestrix and anyone who opposes, kill them"

Kallark flinched but still flew off to the Royal Palace.

D'ken had woken up but didn't speak when he felt Alex's amused look.

Thus, a purge began in the capital and that same day Lilandra ascended the throne.

Once there, Lilandra showed them evidence of what D'ken wanted to do to the Council.

Those who already knew of D'ken's twisted mentality and seeing the evidence, did not object to Lilandra taking the throne.

To tell the truth, Lilandra for a moment thought this was all a dream and was a bit lost.

But realizing that it was real and that in less than a day she had overthrown her brother, it made her grateful to Alex.

Who was already preparing to return, but not before giving her a small communicator in case she is in danger and can contact him.

He was in a hurry because of the M'kraan Crystal, the Phoenix had decided to stay with them for a while and wanted Alex to take care of and keep the M'kraan Crystal.

That put him in a dilemma, plus he couldn't be near that thing without worrying about destroying it.
