A.I.M. Part 11

Crouching down, I grab the Mandarin's hands and begin to remove his rings.

As far as I know, these rings could not be removed unless I cut off his fingers.

But when I tried to pull them out, these rings came off his fingers easily.

Looking at the ten rings I took from him, I know that aside from possessing certain abilities, these rings are Makluan technology and were apparently used to power a ship Mandarin found crashed.

"What are those rings?" Wanda asked as she approached me.

"Which gave this man special abilities" I told her as I looked at her and Psylocke.

"Do you want us to go into his mind to find out how they work?" Psylocke asked when she felt my gaze.

I just nod my head as I hand the rings to Riri to keep.

Psylocke approaches the unconscious Mandarin and enters his mind.

Seconds later Psylocke says:

"Wanda, help me, this man has too many mental barriers"

Hearing Psylocke's request, Wanda helps her.

A few minutes later, the two girls seem surprised by what they discovered.

Before they say anything, I tell them:

"Let's get out of here first and once we meet Pietro at the hotel, you will tell us what you saw"

Before leaving the place, I place a small explosive in the Mandarin's chest.

Even if this guy doesn't have the rings, he's a threat, especially because of the organization that supports him.

Besides, I must not think only of myself, now I have an entire country to protect.

And if I have to kill these bastards for that, I'll do it, because that way they'll fear me.

Minutes after leaving the construction, a small explosion is heard in it.

Arriving at the hotel, Wanda called for Pietro to come quickly to the hotel.

Apparently that guy was having a lot of fun.

Pietro arrived a few minutes after Wanda finished calling him.

When he arrived, we told him what happened.

He was surprised that this happened while he was gone.

"Damn, I missed the fun" Pietro sulkily said.

Wanda rolls her eyes at his words and says:

"Psylocke and I found out why they wanted Riri"

Seeing that we are attentive to her words, she continues:

"Apparently, the upgrades she made to the Sentinels caught the attention of higher-ups in an organization called Advanced Idea Mechanics or A.I.M."

"That organization is made up of scientists and mercenaries dedicated to the acquisition of power and the overthrow of the governments of the world by technological means"

"They wanted Riri in a project called the Super-Adaptoid"

"An android with the ability to copy the powers, appearance, and equipment of any superpowered being in close proximity to it"

Everyone was surprised at what Wanda said.

Psylocke supplemented what Wanda said by telling us about the Mandarin's Rings.

Now I understand why they wanted Riri and I also know that if they are creating the Super-Adaptoid, it means that they have a Cosmic Cube.

"Secret organizations... alien technology... this is very exciting!" Riri said.

I put a wry smile on my face upon hearing her words.
