Chapter 11. War

In the heart of desolation, where ruins sprawled and battles thundered on the horizon, an unexpected meeting unfolded between two formidable sorcerers. Silva, cloaked in robes adorned with celestial motifs, and Seth, draped in azure garments reminiscent of a tempestuous sea, converged with intentions that portended more than mere discourse.

Their gazes locked, crackling with an intensity that spoke volumes louder than incantations. Each harbored secrets and motives veiled in enigma, their powers restrained but palpable in the charged atmosphere.

Silva's eyes, shimmering like galaxies, narrowed slightly, betraying a resolve buried within eons of wisdom. Seth, his countenance serene yet harboring tempestuous energies, met her gaze with an inscrutable calm that belied the brewing storm within.

Without exchanging a word, their intentions clashed, magic rippling around them in a tumultuous display. Arcane forces surged, and the very fabric of reality seemed to tremble at their impending clash. Silva summoned celestial energies, weaving constellations into a radiant shield, while Seth conjured cyclones of azure energy, swirling tempests ready to engulf.

The air crackled with a fusion of celestial and elemental might, the collision of their opposing forces threatening to rend the very ground beneath their feet. Every gesture was met with a counter, a dance of power and restraint escalating in a spectacular display of magical prowess.

Their surroundings quaked under the weight of their escalating duel, and the remnants of the already devastated valley trembled in response. Rocks levitated, and fissures etched the earth, bearing testament to the overwhelming power being unleashed by these two sorcerers.

Yet, amidst their impending clash, a subtle shift occurred—a flicker of understanding sparked in their eyes. Beneath the veneer of conflict lay a hidden resonance, a shared understanding of the forces that bound them together.

In a moment of ephemeral clarity, they paused, their fierce expressions softening imperceptibly. Their intentions, once veiled in the desire for confrontation, now hovered on the precipice of something deeper—an unspoken connection that transcended their differences.

But before this fragile moment could fully unfurl, the distant clamor of battles drew nearer, breaking the fragile equilibrium. With a reluctant acknowledgment, Seraphina and Silva lowered their conjured energies, dispersing the swirling forces that surrounded them.

Their gazes lingered for a fleeting moment, a silent understanding passing between them, before they each turned away. Their staggering demeanor, once poised for conflict, now bore a nuanced blend of respect and unresolved tension, leaving their ultimate clash suspended in the tumultuous air.

As they departed, the remnants of their magical confrontation dissipated into the horizon, leaving behind an atmosphere charged with anticipation, hinting at an inevitable meeting that fate would someday decree.

Silva mumbled, "only the strongest will survive".

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

Disclaimer: I'd received a few harsh complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.
