Alan: Tale of Origin Blood

A story of a boy, who tried to find his origins. A tale of worlds giving him more questions than answers. And a path of life that sneered at it. Current world: Witcher. Note: I own only characters and events of my own creation. It is a fan-fic story of HP/Witcher worlds. Chapters mostly 1,5k+. . . . Some facts about MC that confuse people: 1) He is a kid. A real kid and not an adult in child body how someone might think. But he has knowledge about some things. To understand what it all means read auxiliary chapter, Eternal Mind awakening explanation. 2) Amalgal is an AI. He is a program that is strictly regulated by his own creators and thus he is not some helping grandpa. He can't do much. To learn more read auxiliary chapter under category Amalgal.

Silver and Verga Team.

He was already eight.

Four long years of the captivity made him nearly descend into utter despair. Gram was a paranoid man who feared every shadow. He was brutal and unscrupulous with his actions and means. And he continued to force Alan to drink potions of all sorts. Sometimes they were outright poisonous.

Still, his purity method never failed to work. Otherwise, Alan would have been dead already.

For these two years he did mainly two things. He read as much as they gave him and tried to move mana under the suppression of the bracelet. But there is one thing inside his body this time that terrified him. It all happened a year ago, and this thing continued to grow stronger, fed with his magical gift itself. But the creation of it he wished to forget, perhaps as much as the vision of his dead parents.

But the Eternal mind didn't let him forget.

After half a year in this prison cell without ever going out, one of the Death Eaters brought him a little puppy. A real puppy, not some magical prank. He said it will be his friend from now on. Alan's first reaction was mistrust then after an hour came curiosity then disbelief and after a day he cried holding this creature, that tried to lick his face all the time while being in his arms.

In no time they became best friends. They slept side by side and even played every day. After such a long time with no positive emotions or friendly attitude, this puppy became an irreplaceable existence.

Then, one day, when Gram came again, he didn't feed the puppy. He only poured Trophic Potion inside Alan's mouth before walking away. Silver, that's how Alan named his friend because of his gray fur, looked at the door and whimpered a bit.

Each his bark was full of incomprehension. Has he being forgotten? But Alan broke out in a cold sweat and panicked. It was easy to understand what Gram aimed at by that move.

"You... you can't do that." - he walked to the door and tried to call someone but not a single person gave a damn. - "Hey, buddy, I'll do something. I promise, okay?"

Silver went to his side and rubbed his little head against his leg, turning to the side and asking to be caressed. Alan complied without a word and took him in his arms.

The next day no one came. Silver thinned down and Alan panicked.

'What can I do? What? If only I can use magic! My origin mana is not some regular one, it can supplement life, being a replacement of any nutrients the organism needs. I don't even need a spell! I just need to transfer it! Just move, damnit! Move you stupid mana. MOVE!'

But it didn't. Miracles never happened in actual life unless one made them appear with work. God knows Alan worked, albeit that wasn't enough. Not even close.

Silver slept more to preserve what little strength he had and shook from time to time. He grew weak by the hour and soon became as thin as a skeleton. With puppy metabolism, it all happened quickly. One time Alan tried to feed him with his blood. It worked, however, the wardens found out rather quickly. They barged inside the cell and didn't touch Alan, no, under his attempts to resist and protect Silver they broke puppy's legs and went away.

That night two wounded souls crawled to each other and tried to fall asleep. Well, one to fall asleep and another to enter meditation. But all Alan can think of is saving his friend. The only glimpse of light he had for years in this damn place. Nothing else. He tried again and again to move his mana.

And eventually cursed everything about it.

"He-he-he. Don't you hate it? You' magic. He-he-he. If only it worked, 'ight? He-he-he."

And then something clicked in Alan's brain.

'If only I wasn't a mage and wasn't born to mages... I could have a normal life, have friends, parents, Silver won't be like that... I hate it... I hate it... I hate my magic...'

It was the thought that gave birth to an unknown entity.

And even so, that changed nothing.

The next day Silver could barely move. He was breathing, but the pain took over him as every second he felt like dying. Somehow Alan knew exactly what was on the mind of his friend. And the only thing that warden brought into the cell that day... was a dagger.

Alan looked at it, falling into utmost despair.

"Please, I will do anything, just... just feed him..." - he tried even begging but nothing worked. - "Please, not again... don't do that to me..."

"You can watch to the end, or you can free it. But if you can use your magic, do so. But you can't. Your magic refused to obey to you." - said the voice while distancing itself from the cell.

"H-Hey... buddy... it... it will be fine..." - he took the puppy in his arms, hugging him with all the love he had and cried silently. - "One day we will... go on a walk... you will eat meat... yeah... and go on a jog... in the forest..." - he took the dagger with his other hand. - "We will play... yeah, buddy... we will play different games... you just name them, okay?" - he positioned dagger at his barely beating heart. Silver gave his hand a weak lick. - "And you will roll on the grass under the sun... and I will bring you to show the sea... and watch the sunset together... okay?"

The dagger went in.

"Ah... ah... AAAAHHHH... SILVER!!!" - came a heart-wrenching scream. - "Please... forgive me..." - Alan whispered and lost consciousness.

And inside him a lump of darkness enlarged, separating from his magic and germinating on it. It was like a unique entity.

It was obscurus.

A parasitic dark magic force, that developed by young mages because of oppression from the outside and their hate for magic in the inside.

Since then a year has passed.

His Eternal Mind again kicked in, preserving sanity and clearing the state of his mind. Forcing his decision making and reasoning to be more rational, instead of driven by emotions. But it didn't mean that Eternal Mind made him unfeeling.

He is capable of the deepest feelings there can be.

It's just that the honed will and this trait made it possible for Alan to control himself with a minor effort.

He didn't blame himself anymore or his magic or even this world and people. He just knew that he lacks the power to protect what he wishes to protect and that is mainly due to his age.

'They aim to break me. And to create something from me. First, it was a Soul Extinguisher Spell Array. Then it was... it was... Silver, that eventually gave birth to obscure. Almost like they are making a living weapon of mass destruction. Now my mana reserves are like that of a fourth-year student, but with obscure eating it up it will go down soon. I need more understanding of this creature that became another part of me. It is not sentient, yet it is living.'

So he learned like crazy and never stopped training. Until now an insignificant part of stone like mana could shake and move. It was a start. It means it can be done and even changed magic admonitor won't stop him soon.

However, the most pressing matter will be this obscure inside him. If he remembered correctly, this thing is deadly dangerous and no mage child who has it ever lived past ten years old. Wait, no, there was one. But he is a bit of an exception.

Credence Barebone.

He had tremendous latent talent and could survive longer, even after becoming obscuria.

Right now obscurus is caged by admonitor and even helped Alan to counterforce the cuffs. But it can't go on like that for long. If it's as deadly and uncontrollable as in the film he saw during his previous life, then Alan really got himself entangled in severe trouble.

"Okay, you are good. You have learned all we had in the library and it is time for us to go. Your task will be simple. You just need to come to a certain place and then we will remove the cuffs and you are free." - Alan never saw this Death Eater, but Nagini accompanied him. And she was one of the Voldemort Horcruxes to be. Thus, even before that, she must have been an existence of certain value to the Dark Lord.

'It will be best to kill her, but I can't now. If I do, he will just create another Horcrux. It will be a pain in the ass to figure out what it is. However, this guy... who is he? Long blond hair, blue eyes. Could it be... he is Lucius Malfoy?'

One might think about him as a minor and cowardly figure, but he is a lord of one of the most powerful wizard families in the world. And very scheming at that.

"You can't, he is incomplete!" - shouted Gram barging in, but as soon as he did Nagini hissed at him and the mad doctor shrunk immediately. There was something unnatural with how she can control him. The Dark Lord is not among living for the time being. There must be a secret behind it.

"I can and I will." - said the man defiantly and walked out. - "Prepare him properly. We are heading out soon. This family needs to pay a price for defying us. With the boy, we can make it."

At that moment the building shook and dust with ceiling stucco fell down on the heads of mages.

"What was that?"

"We are under attack! It is Verga Special Team aurors of the Ministry!" - when Alan heard it his heartbeat sped up a bit. That was a chance to escape! This news gave him not only a tremendous amount of encouragement but also faith in a better future.

They might be here for another reason, but even if they are, it is more than enough. He thought that one day he will be glad to be the one to offer a timely hand of help to the person in need like the unknown team of White wizards did now.

"Damn." - he took Alan's shoulder and apparated.

But without him.

"Idiot." - Gram scoffed when the man came back. - "He has enhanced admonitor that suppresses magic. It even able to content obscure, what are you trying to do dragging him through space? Are you an idiot?"

"You should talk less, Gram. Remove it." - ordered the man.

"Remove it? Do you want all of us to die, Duncan?" - screamed Gram. - "Go to the fireplace, we prepare it to transport him."

'So he is not Lucius Malfoy.'

Alan couldn't resist the huge warden half-giant who grabbed him in large palms and dragged out of the cell. The Death Eaters went to the upper floor and inside the room. Three Death Eaters and the man named Duncan escorted Alan while the later heard sounds of battle.

'Who is he? I don't remember such a name from films or books.'

"Here we can escape." - Gram threw a handful of dust into the fireplace. - "France, Paris, number 43."

After saying that, he jumped in the fire and vanished, engulfed in clouds of smoke and tongues of flame. One of the Death Eater hesitated, but then took the wand and it flashed with pale blue light, doing something no one will notice. Seconds passed, he looked at Alan and jumped after the doctor.

Duncan threw Alan inside like a rag.

The boy felt like something took over his body and compressed it into a little package. A moment later he was mailed by magic through space itself to be thrown out in a dilapidated little room that already had three people and was very narrow to have more.

"Out, now!" - barked a man, grabbing Alan by the collar and hurling him through the door to the outside. It turned out to be some warehouse for instruments. As for the fireplace, apparently it was built for none other, but transportation and an illegal one at that.

"Move out." - commanded Duncan when everyone was here. - "We can be at the place in fifteen minutes."
