A family of Fire and Steel

Aiden's eyes widened as he watched the ball of fire float above his father's head. He reached out his tiny hand, trying to touch the flickering flame. His father, Valerius, smiled and lowered the fireball to his son's level.

"Careful, Aiden. It's hot," he warned, holding Aiden's hand gently.

Aiden felt the warmth of the fire, but not the pain. He giggled and clapped his hands, fascinated by the magic.

"Wow, daddy! How do you do that?" he asked, looking up at Valerius with admiration.

Valerius chuckled and ruffled Aiden's hair. He glanced at his wife, Seraphina, who was sitting on the bed, watching them with a slight frown. She was a swordswoman, not a mage, and she felt a bit left out of their bonding.

"Well, Aiden, I'm a mage. A fire mage, to be precise. Mages are people who can use magic, the energy that flows through everything in this world. There are different kinds of magic, depending on the element you can control. Fire, water, ice, nature, air, shadow, light, poison, electricity, earth, time and space. Those are the twelve elements of magic," Valerius explained.

"Wow, that's so cool! Can you use all of them, daddy?" Aiden asked, his eyes sparkling.

Valerius shook his head. "No, Aiden. Most mages can only use one element, and some can use two or three. But it's very rare to find a mage who can use more than that. And some elements are even rarer than others. For example, space and time magic are lost since the ancient times. No one knows how to use them anymore. And light magic is only used by the members of the Tunteary Religion, the faith that worships the creator of this world. They have a powerful organization called the Church, led by the Pope, who is the highest authority of the religion. Under him are the archbishops, who oversee the different regions of the world. Then there are the bishops, who manage the local churches and temples. And finally, there are the saints and saintesses, the most revered and holy people of the faith. They are chosen by the creator himself, and they can use light magic to heal, bless, and perform miracles. There are only two of them in each generation, one male and one female. They are very valuable and respected by everyone."

Aiden listened attentively, trying to remember everything his father said. He had so many questions, but he didn't want to interrupt him.

"So, daddy, what about you? What rank are you as a mage?" he asked.

Valerius smiled proudly. "I'm a Cosmic Enchanter, Aiden. That's the sixth rank of mages. It means I can manipulate the astral forces, the stars and the planets, with my fire magic. I can create powerful spells and enchantments, and I can sense the movements of the celestial bodies. It's a very high rank, Aiden. Not many mages can reach it."

Aiden gasped, impressed by his father's achievement. He hugged him and said, "You're amazing, daddy! I want to be like you when I grow up!"

Valerius hugged him back and kissed his forehead. He felt a surge of love and pride for his son. He hoped that Aiden would inherit his talent for magic, and maybe even surpass him someday.

Seraphina watched them with a mix of emotions. She was happy that her husband and son were getting along so well, but she also felt a pang of jealousy and insecurity. She loved them both dearly, but she felt like she didn't belong in their world of magic. She was a warrior, a fighter, a leader. She had led armies and conquered lands. She had wielded a sword and a shield, not a wand and a spellbook. She had no magic in her blood, and she didn't understand it. She felt like she was losing them to something she couldn't compete with.

She sighed and tried to shake off her negative thoughts. She loved them, and they loved her. That was all that mattered. She decided to join them on the bed, and cuddle with them. She smiled and said, "You know, Aiden, your mommy is also amazing. She's a great swordswoman, and a brave empress. She can protect you and me from any danger. She's strong and smart and beautiful. You should be proud of her too."

Aiden looked at his mother and nodded.

Valerius noticed that Seraphina's face was slowly getting upset as he was monopolizing all of Aiden's attention. He realized that he had been talking too much about magic, and not enough about swordsmanship. He decided to change the topic and praise his wife's skills.

"But you know, Aiden, magic is not the only thing that matters in this world. There is also swordsmanship, the art of wielding a sword and fighting with it. Your mommy is a very talented swordswoman, and a very rare one at that. She's a Truth Seeker, Aiden. A Master Truth Seeker. Do you know what that means?" he asked.

Aiden shook his head, curious. He had seen his mother fight with a sword before, and he was always amazed by her speed and strength. But he didn't know much about swordsmanship, or what a Truth Seeker was.

Valerius smiled and explained. "Well.it may seem a little hard for you to understand but a Truth Seeker is someone who embarks on a journey to understand the true essence of the sword, exploring its spiritual and philosophical aspects. They unveil the hidden truths of the blade, integrating mental discipline and meditation into their practice. They attain a profound connection with the sword's metaphysical aspects, wielding it as an extension of their spirit. They are very rare, Aiden. There are people that could be counted on one hand in the world of Seraphina's rank."

Aiden gasped, impressed by his mother's achievement. He looked at her with admiration and said, "Wow, mommy! You're also very amazing! How do you do that?"

Seraphina felt a warmth in her heart. She smiled and thanked Valerius for his kind words. She hugged Aiden and said, "It's not easy, Aiden. Swordsmanship is a profession where you have to have talent and hard work to succeed. There are many amateur swordsmen in the world, but very few who can reach the higher ranks. You have to train every day, practice every move, and learn from every mistake. You have to face many challenges, dangers, and enemies. You have to be brave, loyal, and honorable. You have to follow your own path, and never give up on your dreams."

She paused and looked at her sword, which was resting on a stand near the bed. It was a beautiful weapon, forged from the finest steel and enchanted with magic. It had a silver blade and a golden hilt, adorned with jewels and runes. It was a gift from Valerius, and it was her most precious possession.

She continued, "But you also have to love your sword, Aiden. You have to treat it as a friend, a partner, a soulmate. You have to respect it, cherish it, and protect it. You have to listen to it, communicate with it, and understand it. You have to bond with it, Aiden. That's the secret of a Truth Seeker. That's how you awaken your sword aura, the manifestation of your spirit through your sword."

She reached for her sword and held it in her hand. She closed her eyes and focused on her breathing. She felt a surge of energy in her body, and a wave of light in her mind. She opened her eyes and smiled. She lifted her sword and pointed it at the ceiling. A bright blue aura surrounded her sword, pulsating and shining. It was the color of the sky, the symbol of freedom and wisdom.

She said, "This is my sword aura, Aiden. It's blue, because that's the element I'm most compatible with. Air. It gives me speed, agility, and flexibility. It allows me to fly, to soar, to glide. It makes me feel free, Aiden. Free to be myself, free to follow my heart, free to live my life."

She lowered her sword and looked at Aiden. She saw him staring at her sword aura with awe and wonder. She said, "Do you want to touch it, Aiden?"

Aiden nodded eagerly. He reached out his hand, trying to touch the blue light. Seraphina moved her sword closer to his hand, allowing him to feel the aura. Aiden felt a cool breeze on his palm, and a gentle tingling on his fingers. He giggled and clapped his hands, fascinated by the sword aura.

"Wow, mommy! It's so pretty! It feels nice!" he exclaimed.

Seraphina laughed and kissed his cheek. She was also happy that her sword, her partner was happy to meet Aiden. She said, "I'm glad you like it, Aiden. Maybe someday, you'll have your own sword aura too. Maybe you'll be a great swordsman, like your mommy. Or maybe you'll be a great mage, like your daddy. Or maybe you'll be something else, something new, something unique. Whatever you choose, Aiden, we'll always support you. We'll always love you. You're our son, and you're amazing."

She looked at Valerius and saw him smiling at her. He reached out his hand and held hers. He said, "We love you, Seraphina. You're our everything. You're amazing too. We're a family, and we'll always be together."

They hugged each other and snuggled on the bed, feeling the warmth and love of their bond. They were happy, and they didn't need anything else. They were a family, and they'll always be together.

(Note that Aiden's behaving like a child cause of his multiple identity disorder)
